This location is perfect for everything! We shopped, we cooked, we strolled the beach multiple times per day & had a fire on Dillon Beach one night!! Leaving is so hard. Mom’s memorial

We had a very nice time visiting with family and sharing memories of Mom. The hot tub relieved some stress. The family enjoyed exploring the beach and other areas around the shoreline. We saw jackrabbits and wild turkeys and deer. Thanks for a nice stay.

MEMORIES

KnotACare was very comfortable with a nice view. We were pleased with the well equiped kitchen. My husband loved there were both soft and firm pillows to choose from. The kids loved they could walk down to the beach off the bluff, and grandma loved we were close enough to drive! Many memories at Dillon Beach for multiple generations of our family continues!

Exceeded Expectations

This is a great property. Beautiful view from living room window. Short walk to the beach. Lots of places to discover nearby: Bodega Bay, Pt. Reyes National Seashore, etc. Beds were comfy, TV/streaming manageable, & nice hot tub. But, the BEST thing about the property was the kitchen. We were so pleased to find: spices, cooking oil, storage bags & all the cooking utensils we needed. All my friends were very impressed & hope to return.

Lovely Beach House

The house was lovely; clean, fresh, lots of natural light through large windows with views of the ocean and nice nautical decor, with comfortable furnishings and beds. The range in ages for our group went from 52 to 83. So, for some, the stairs to the main level were a bit of a challenge. However, they all managed and want to come back again.

With all of the changes that have taken place there it was great to find a house big enough for us within walking distance to the beach. The house is comfortable and well maintained. A calm respite from hectic times.

The home fit our needs: quiet relaxation and a gathering spot to hang out. It is a very short walk to the beach, but be aware that it is a climb over rocks. The house had a wonderful large table we could all eat around. The kitchen is small but very workable. The place is light and airy with great windows and plenty of space. The back deck is huge and has plexiglass to shelter you from the wind. Unfortunately, all of the outdoor chairs seemed to be broken (cracked so unsafe to use).

Rooms had plenty of linens and pillows, kitchen was clean and fully stocked. The location is superb, just a short walk down to the beach or to the Dillon General Store. We were a group of three families with small children and there was more than enough space. One recommendation if you have really small kids is to bring a baby gate, as the stairs separating the living area from the bedrooms are quite steep.

We did have grandparents with us so who were unable to walk to the beach but the rest of the family loved it. The rental company was very easy to work with the battery in the smoke alarm was chirping and called they were right there to fix it on a Friday night. My kids are already asking when can we go again !Thank you again

Knot-A-Care until you return to your rental and find someone breaking into the rental.

It's a great house. Spacious. Great views. Steep access to beach. The beach is not accessible from the house if you have mobility or ambulatory issues. You will need to drive to the public beach access. Short, hilly walk to the little neighborhood restaurant. Quiet neighborhood. Our biggest issue was that we came home from a day of exploring to find a maintenance worker in the house without our knowledge. Not only were we not informed by the property management company that maintenance was necessary but the person broke into the window because they didn't have a key. When I asked further, they told me it was because we took the key from the lockbox and locked the door so they had no way of entering the property. We called and emailed with the property management company several times to better understand why a person employed with the property didn't have a key to enter the property. We received a 3% refund for our troubles. I still feel very dismissed about our safety concerns and their protocols for when it's necessary to inform the renters that some one will be entering the property. They did respond quickly and politely but they were clear that their policy is to allow people to enter the actual house without informing the people currently renting the property.

Great Family Beach House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The feel of the beach house could be described as really "family comfortable". The layout is such that we never felt really tight or pressed for space, even with 9 people, there's a lot to love about the place. We cooked daily and 4 nights and the kitchen met our needs. Even though it's an older kitchen, they have it really well stocked with most all of the appliances you would need. One thing that was an inconvenience was that you could only plug in 1 device into a kitchen outlet (i.e. microwave or toaster, coffee maker, etc.) otherwise it will trip the circuit breaker. (workaround - we wound up making coffee in the bedroom) This may or may not be an easy fix to address on the electrical service panel.The beds and bedrooms were all considered comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked with towels, as well as spa towels.We had an issue with one of the tall white deck chairs, as someone had tried to make a repair, but when my wife went to sit up into it, the whole thing collapsed. She weighs all of 110 lbs. and fortunately bailed before it folded. The chair should be tossed to avoid serious injury. It would be nice to have a hand held battery blower available to keep the decks tidy.We loved the location to the beach, with easy trails, which made it a breeze to head out for walks or a run. You can literally be at the beach in about 5-10 minutes. The views are pretty sweet from each of the decks as well.All in all, it's an older beach home, but really charming and comfortable in it's design, layout, amenities, and proximity to the beach. We would stay here again!

We were there during a rainy period and had a leak downstairs, which was inconvenient but manageable. Property management was quick to respond, which was a great comfort. All in all it was a great place to spend a long weekend with friends. Neat and clean and comfortable. Very short walk to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were confused by check out requirement of not only running dishwasher the morning we were leaving but to empty it as well. That made checkout day hectic. We will definitely book again!

Views of My Happy Place

This property’s location is ideal. It sits half a block from a dramatic ocean front path. Also, very walkable to the Dillon Beach store and coffee shop. All of the bedrooms, living room, dining room as well as the front and rear deck feature tranquil ocean views. Normally when I cook the many meals for my family I’m looking at walls and appliances with a window behind me. Here, I stared at the ocean as I prepped, cooked, sipped. Happy place! The fire place was perfect as it started to rain. Upon check in, there was an issue with ants on the lower level. In particular, along the window and sliding door lines as well as in the lower bathroom. My wife called management’s office to notify, and left a message. We never received a call back but it could have been because we were going into a weekend. We got over it quickly. Views. One of the bigger issue for us was that the doors just off the dining room do not lock. (I figured mgmt would site “user error” for the lock malfunction. So I took several videos of us following detailed and the lock still failing.) The same doors lead to the rear deck, and have a stairway with access to that deck from the street level. This caused a safety and security issue for me. My two year old could/did open these doors at will and roamed out onto the balcony. We were on constant watch so that she didn’t tumble down the stairs. Safety and security for my wife, 2 & 4 year old girls was on the forefront of my mind.

Good stay overall
 many outlets in the house didn’t work or sparked if we tried to plug stuff in. The walk to beach was tough for our older family members with physical ailments so we ended up driving them down to the public area at Lawson’s landing, which cost 15 per car to park for the day.

Very comfortable! Stocked kitchen. Views the of the ocean from most rooms in the house and beach access just down the street. Our family of 6 had ample room to hang out together in the living and dining room. Management very responsive when we had questions or any needs. Great beach just a 5 minute drive from the house.

My Family Loves It
