**An Absolute GEM in Fairfield!**We had an incredible five-night stay with our extended family of eight, and this beach house truly exceeded our expectations. The house was exactly as advertised, spacious, comfortable, and incredibly well suited for a larger family. With plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, all eight of us had more than enough room to spread out and never felt crowded.The beachfront location on the Sound is absolutely unbelievable. The calm water was perfect for kids and adults alike, and low tide was a highlight every day as there was so much to explore, including the amazing Penfield Reef. Between swimming, fishing, walking the beach, and simply enjoying the view, there was always something to do right outside the door.The kitchen and generous living spaces made it easy to spend time together as a family, while the layout gave everyone plenty of space when they wanted it. It is an especially fantastic property for families with kids and teens.They absolutely loved it!Fairfield itself was another huge bonus. The downtown area is fantastic, with excellent restaurants and plenty to do when you want to venture away from the beach.The combination of the house, the space, the beachfront setting, and the location is very hard to beat. This property is an absolute GEM, and we would happily stay here again!

We were in town for a wedding and our large family was very comfortable in this house. It was well equipped and the location and views are incredible!

Fantastic Stay

Our stay was very enjoyable. House was clean and stocked with towels and sheets. Neighbors on both sides were very friendly. View was absolutely amazing. Will book again next summer!

This is an beautiful house with an amazing location .

This home is beautiful and very spacious Beautiful views of the water. Perfect spot for a family to vacation. We enjoyed walking out on the sand bars, relaxing on the deck and listening to the waves. The house is very clean, warm and welcoming!

Great house at a great location

This is one of few homes with 6br in the area, and it is very spacious. This is our second time renting a vacation home from this group of owners and both times have been great. The house is fairly new, very spacious, and clean. We’ll be back!

Location, location, location...my entire family had a wonderful vacation. Being directly on the beach was the key! We were able to enjoy the best of both worlds...setup a kiddy pool on the large deck, but also had fun building sand castles and playing on the beach. The house is very large, with many bedrooms and bathrooms which was perfect for my large group. Open floor plan for kitchen and family room was great for playing board games and having movie night. We will be back.

Family vacation

The home was perfect for our family of ten. The proximity of the beach, ice cream shop and playground was perfect for our grandkids. The house was spacious and had enough room for all of us there was some confusion as to where the trash bin were located but a email to Paul quickly resolved that issue.

Fun at the beach.

Great time with my wife, two sons, their spouses, and children (four grandchildren). The house on the beach was terrific. Spent most of our time on the beach or in the water. Taught my seven year old grandson how to fish. Great time for all!

Perfect location for our family

This home was perfect for our family. Six bedrooms and four bathrooms, and a large open common area made it easy for everyone to have their own space. The house was situated directly on the beach with beautiful views and access to the sound. We brought our SUP's and a large shade canopy which we set up on the sand directly off the back deck. It was great for our toddlers and their parents alike. Plenty of parking and quick access to downtown Fairfield with all of its restaurants and shops was a huge bonus. We would definitely recommend this home!

FANTASTIC PROPERTY

Best property yet for both young and old. I grew up on Long Island sound but always took my family to the Cape…..so sorry I didn’t give the sound a chance….grass always greener over there. Directly on the water, kids could play when tide was low and adults would watch from the deck/porch. Fishing outside the door was good for novice as well as seasoned folks. House had EVERYTHING needed for a comfortable stay with plenty of room. Will be back next year.

Perfect Wedding Weekend

The house was perfect for our family gathering for a NYC wedding! It was immaculately clean! Perfect location. Tons of room! Beach for kids to play right out back door. We had an issue when we arrived and the owner was on it immediately! All resolved! Only drawback was lack of supplies that I have been accustomed to in other rentals. Extra blankets, dishwasher/washer soap, paper products etc. Bare bones kitchen items. Maybe they accumulate over the course of the summer as we purchased many items and left excess. Other than that it was a lovely weekend. Can't wait to come back!

Beautiful home!

Overall we very much enjoyed our stay. The house is immaculate and very comfortable for an extended family of 9. We also enjoyed cooking in the updated kitchen. The house is right on the beach and views are amazing. We did not need the sand chairs we brought as the deck had very comfortable patio furniture and was right on the beach. A few negatives: We had a delay accessing the property when we arrived at 4:00 as it was still being cleaned (which is the reason for 4 stars re: check in process) Info sheet stated that grill would have a full tank of gas; we found out the hard way it did not (Sunday night and meat already on the grill to cook!) Tank was empty and we had to scramble to find a replacement. Neighbors on both sides had roaming dogs that defecated on the beach in front of the house and made no attempt to clean up after them (pet peeve) . We had trouble locating the outside trash barrels but the host responded quickly when we reached out. Overall we had a great time and did not let these issues impact our week, I would definitely recommend this home if you are considering it.

A great location

We rented the house with my cousin and his family. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and the house fit our needs and then some. The location on the beach made our stay with 5 kids easy. The deck was a perfect spot to hang out and listen/watch to the ocean. I would recommend to others.

Summertime beach fun

This was an absolutely wonderful place to celebrate our week of birthdays. Rented this property with my family, including husband, 6 year-olds, mother-in-law, brother-in-law and parents - and our golden retriever. All different ages - everyone had a great time. The property was clean, and had all the basic needs of a family including a kitchen with utensils, a fridge, stove, oven. It was accessible to my brother-in-law with physical limitations… Although he did have to climb two steps, coming through the back porch was easier. There is a bedroom and full bath on the first floor, which made it easy. The beach was right outside. We didn’t need to interact with anyone and plenty of places delivered. Great isolated, safe, fun place for my family to get away this pandemic.

The Best Mini Vacation!

This property is even more gorgeous in person! Upon entering, everything was spotless. Julie is so attentive to details and ensures that everything is well for your stay. Being directly on the beach was a real treat, it was super private which is rare for a beach property. I can’t wait to come back next summer to stay here. Everything was amazing! If I could give 100 stars I would!

Great for large groups

Plenty of room and plenty of bathrooms. We enjoyed our stay. Of note, Be prepared. We learned from another reviewer that the renter is responsible for paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, sponges, laundry detergent. That reviewer also mentioned that there are not enough plates, glasses or mugs or dining chairs for all 11 guests, so we brought our own. The wonderful house, many bathrooms and location far made up for the extra things we ended up packing. We would do it again.

We loved being right on the beach

The house was perfect. Enough room for our family of 8 adults and the fact that we were right on the beach was amazing. The grill was damaged from a recent storm and when I reached out to the owner we had a brand new one the next day. We vacationed in state this year because of the virus but I would absolutely do this again.

We had a fantastic time with friends and kids! The house is right on the beach so we could go back and forth as needed and the house was very large with a lot of bedrooms and bathrooms for each family. We will return next year!

Beautiful property right on the water

Wonderful beach front home in great location. Well maintained home, very clean and welcoming. Well stocked kitchen. Big plus that linens and towels are provided. Master bedroom and bathroom are great. Soaking tub and great shower and a king sized bed. Wonderful, relaxing views from all areas of the house. Owners are easy to work with, responsive. Check-in process is seamless. Having a code door saves hassle of keys. Even better that it is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend!
