Beläget i ett avundsvärt läge med utsikt över den livliga Bembridge hamnen ligger stugan inom en kort promenad från stranden, vilket är idealiskt för rockpool och simning. Det finns också en by pub, 2 restauranger och affärer / postkontor inom gångavstånd från The Stables.
Fastigheten ligger i ett lugnt läge som är idealiskt för semester, vandring och cykelferie. Det finns fantastiska vyer och landskap att upptäckas längs milen av stigar, gångvägar och cykelvägar i närheten. Fågelskådare hittar också stugan idealiskt beläget för RSPB-reserven.

Ryde ligger en kort bilresa bort med den ytterligare sträckan och Puckpool Park för barn. Den välkända segelbyn Bembridge ligger över hamnen med charmiga restauranger, affärer, kyrka och National Trust väderkvarn och restauranger.

St Helens Village Green är välkänt lokalt för byns syrsan. Lekplatsen och öppet utrymme på grönområdet är ett utmärkt ställe för barn att släppa av ånga.

Fantastic stay!

We had the most fantastic stay in The Stables. It had everything we needed and was warm and cosy - vital in January! The location is amazing, right on the edge of the harbour. Lots of birds to see and amazing sunrises. We loved walking across the Causeway to St Helen's Duver. Also up the hill to the village, where there is a pub, grocery store and the most amazing second hand bookshop I have ever visited. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We hope to return.

Another fabulous stay!

Lost count of the amount of times we have now visited the island and we would never stay anywhere other than this location. Hosts Dave and Sue are the best and we absolutely love our stay in their cottage. Always spotless and very well equipped please don’t ever stop!

The Stables Location.

Fantastic location

This was our 2nd stay at the stables, the location is great and provides excellent value for money. Owner next door is very helpful but not intrusive and facilities are great. Property is spacious and has absolutely everything you could need.

Perfect location

Another wonderful holiday at the Stables. We have been coming here for several years and hope to do so for many more! The house has everything we need and the location cannot be beaten. Peaceful and perfect for nature lovers. The Vine Inn is a short walk away in the village, serving good food in a traditional pub setting. Warm and comfortable house. Highly recommend.

Lovely property in St. Helens

The property has everything you could need for your holiday, is immaculately clean and beautifully situated just by the harbour and a short walking distance from the quiet seafront and beach. Wonderful views onto the Solent.

We did like to be beside the sea

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this scenic and quietly situated cottage. Everything we needed was provided and we were able to relax in warm comfort perfectly placed to travel around the island. It was delightful to wake each morning to a panorama of sea and wildlife. I was even able to make use of the small back garden to hang out my washing. A real home from home by the sea.

Isle of Wight stay in St Helens

It is always a pleasure stopping on the Isle of Wight, but our stay at The Stables is perfect for us as a couple. The scenary, local walks and access to the rest of the Island. Our hosts David and Sue, our namesakes! are particularly helpful and attentive, with an abundance of local knowledge. A quiet location, which would appeal to those who like a quiet escape. The area has a nature reserve nearby, with protected Lagoons, harbour facilities with little cafe's and local pubs within reasonable distances. Fishing is also available out of the harbour. We have already booked again for next year, and can't wait !!!

Yet another fabulous stay!

Very relaxing holiday

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables, lovely cottage and very clean with every thing we needed for our holiday.David the owner was there to greet us and was very friendly and helpful.The location of the cottage near the harbour is beautiful, and relaxing,We had not been to the Isle of Wight for many years but we are glad we were able to visit this year .So much to see & do on the Island , we would like to come back another time and have two weeks instead .Would definitley stay at The Stables again and would recommend this cottage.

Perfect

Another wonderful holiday at the Stables. Warm comfortable house, right on the doorstep of stunning scenery. Suitable for a couple, or family with two small children. Lovely walks and great for bird watching. Short walk to local pub, and others further on in Bembridge.

One of the best holiday cottages ever!

The cottage is in a stunning and quiet location overlooking Bembridge Harbour. Only a few minutes walk from the beach along the causeway. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and it was great having a washing machine to wash our muddy clothes after enjoying fabulous walks on the island. No33 on the village green does great takeaways. The village shop is only a few minutes walk so a lovely start to the day to get the paper and a few groceries. We would recommend to friends and family and we would like to return.

Lovely holiday in comfortable cottage

The Stables is located right by the sea in St Helen's with a beautiful view over Bembridge harbour. There are excellent walks from the front door. The cottage is comfortable and was very clean on arrival. Obviously, lockdown regulations meant it wasn't quite as well equipped as last year - no books or maps, DVDs or games - but we knew that ahead of time and went prepared. The kitchen was well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pits, pans, mixing bowls, scales etc. The washing machine worked well. The dishwasher, not so well, and we told the owners about it as we left. The living room chairs were comfortable. The bed was firm which suited us, and is a double, which is useful to know as you need to take your own bedding. The second bedroom is small, with just two single beds. The chest of drawers is on the landing. So I would suggest that the cottage is fine for a family with one or two younger children rather than for two adult couples. I suppose the best recommendation is that we've already booked to go back next year.
