This house is right on the water with a rock jetty straight off the back yard. The adjacent lot is a small quiet public beach which is great! When we weren’t out exploring the area, we were at the beach or on the wrap-around porch which gives fantastic views over the water. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed to make meals in, along with an outdoor gas grill. Convenient to Narragansett and Newport. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Lovely place for sailors and the friends

Highlights included sunset views from the back porch, the beach next door, nearby tourism by ferry to Newport, and the two moorings right at the property.

Wonderful stay on the water

This property was very comfortable, clean and located in a wonderful spot. The house had all the implements needed to make our stay very special. My friends and I had a great time sitting on the porch and just enjoying the view of the water. We would love to come back sometime soon.

The location is what makes this property so special as it’s right on Narragansett Bay. Hosts are responsive and access to property easy. Right next to Heads beach. There is nothing better than starting one’s day with a cup of coffee seated in an Adirondack chair in front of the bay.

Unbeatable view.

I could spend my entire trip sitting in an Adirondack chair looking at the Narragansett. We’ve rented the house more than once as we come to the area annually. Great location in cute enclave of Jamestown.

The location of this rental can't be beat. I loved having my own private beach and the two Adirondack chairs were great for watching the waves from the lawn. The house is older and could use some updating, but it had everything I needed (except tissues, easy enough to pick up if needed).

Serenity

Location, location, location. A cup of coffee each morning in an Adirondack chair overlooking Narragansett Bay is a nice way to start the day. The little beach adjacent to the house is also an added bonus.

A great place all around

Our family of four stayed here Fourth of July week and we had a great time. The location on the water is just what we were looking for. Jamestown is a nice and quiet place to stay, but you can be in Newport in 15 minutes. The kids loved the beach next door and the bunk beds were a big hit. It was great to have dinner every night on the deck overlooking the water. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for the week. We would definitely look to stay here again!

Location location location

Beautiful property with stunning views of the bay gorgeous sunsets easy access to the beach only things i would recommend would bring water shoes the beach is mostly shells and would’ve loved to be able to open windows to enjoy the breeze and sounds of ocean but I was informed that wasn’t possible there were no screens on windows or doors such a shame

Loved the View

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house was as advertised, Newer in the front (living area and porch) where we spent all our waking hours. Bedrooms are small. Kitchen and bath were well stocked. We couldn’t find the DVD player and told the owners, who had one delivered the next day. The beach park with shade tree next door was great when the afternoon sun strong. Great family neighborhood. Easy access to so many areas to explore. The views from the porch are just beautiful and always changing. It was a perfect place/location for our Island Anniversary trip.

Jamestown Cottage

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to Jamestown. The highlight of this house is the location. The neighborhood and view can't be beat. We had some issues with the cleanliness of the house but the owners were very receptive. We could only use one of the bunk mattresses because the bottom bed is a box spring and kids found it too hard to sleep on. The windows don't have any screens so unfortunately we couldn't open the windows and hear the ocean. This also resulted in a musty smell in the house.

Property is musty smelling, unclean and has ants on the kitchen counters. Also has TWO boarded up windows which is not shown in the VRBO pictures. Property is advertised as "Completely refurbished with new floors, bathroom, paint, deck, beds, and living room furniture are all new." It does have new floors, maybe new paint on the walls(?) but ceilings are very dirty and so is all the trim. Shower is poor with peeling paint on the shower walls and bathroom sink/cabinet has not been cleaned in a long time. Kitchen table, refrigerator and tv were also dirty. Exterior walls of the property are in desperate need of paint. Location is good but property was a major disappointment.
