Beebole är en charmig stenbyggd traditionell Dales stuga inbäddad i den vackra byn Countersett, ovanför den fantastiska sjön Semerwater, 5 minuters bilresa från Bainbridge och Askrigg och 10 minuter från Hawes. Ursprungligen ett ostrum / mejeri och en plats som lagrade bin för honung, huset har helt uppdaterats med LPG centralvärme, kvalitetsinredning och ett nytt duschrum med kraftfull termostatdusch och välutrustat kök. Det finns en stor vedeldare i vardagsrummet för att hålla dig mysig. Det finns en privat trädgård bakom huset och gott om parkering. 2 sovplatser i en king size-säng med fickan madrass. Bluetooth-högtalare, Amazon-videokonto och andra stora appar på tv, böcker och vandringsguider tillgängliga att låna. Mjölk, kaka och vin vid ankomst och Kinu-toalettartiklar, tillsammans med gratis korg med stockar, tändning och brandmän. Vänligen notera; kartort är inte riktigt korrekt, stugan ligger nära Countersett Hall. Fullständiga anvisningar skickas dagen före ankomst. Countersett Hall c (7 sovplatser) kan bokas med eller separat från stugan - perfekt för stora grupper. Säker cykellagring finns på höger sida av stallen bakom Countersett Hall (medföljande nyckel).

Tastefully decorated, exceptionally well-provisioned in the kitchen and shower-room, comfortable and snug, especially with a log-fire in the burner.We found the central-heating a bit of a puzzle as to when it would be on or off but we were warm when we needed to be. We shall definitely return to this cottage, maybe later in the year.

The perfect hideaway in the middle of the Dales

My husband and I needed a few days break away to just relax and enjoy some downtime without racing around. Beebole cottage is the perfect place for a couple who want something cosy and intimate. This one bedroom cottage has all the modern appliances set with in traditional style of stone walls and open wooden beams. The living area is cosy with a log fire which we enjoyed using every day. One bag of logs and kindling were supplied but we bought another bag locally to allow us to indulge. There is a TV with amazon firestick which allowed us to search for films etc. The bedroom has a comfortable bed with ample of storage. The bathroom was of good size and the shower was powerful enough to enjoy. The kitchen had everything that we could possible need and more,. An electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and all the pots pans and crockery we could need to allow us to cook some lovely meals. The cottage was warm and the central heating is easy to use and adjust the temperature throughout the day, and although we had no phone signal on our mobile phones (which was perfect for us for a couple of days) There is wifi in the cottage and a landline phone for emergency use. The cottage is in amongst a couple of other cottages but we found to have no disturbance or noise pollution. The is parking next to the cottage with just a couple of stone steps down to the cottage entrance. During the wet weather the steps were a little slippery with wet leaves so for elderly or frail it would need a little extra care. The area is quite minimal, which is what we wanted although there are plenty of places to visit within a short 15/20 minute drive through the beautiful dales. I would recommend visiting Douglas Castle, this is one of the most informative castles we have visited and we thoroughly enjoyed over an hour of walking, discovering and reading the history of the historical place. Aysgarth Falls is also nearby and whilst we were unable to the Upper and lower falls due to health reasons, we did visit the mid falls which was a short 5 min walk from the car park and enjoyed a lovely cream tea in the cafe. Richmond town is a lovely cobbled town with shops and plenty of tea rooms and i would highly recommend just driving through the breath taking dales to enjoy the peace and views. Overall, I would highly recommend this cottage as the perfect quiet getaway.

Beautiful location

The property is welcoming, with a lot of thought into catering for guests needs, with essential items supplied. The cottage itself is warm and cosy. It sits in a beautiful location with complete peace and quiet. There is plenty of walking opportunities and a lake 5-10 minutes walk away from the cottage. We would have no hesitation in recommending the cottage.

The Cottage allows you to truly get away from it all. The location is very peaceful and quiet with lovely views of the rolling hills of Wensleydale and is close to stunning lake Semerwater. Only a few miles from the lively market towns of Askrigg and Hawes with many of the Dales' best attractions within easy reach. Stylish, romantic cottage with interesting history, yet providing all mod cons, such as dishwasher, microwave, double oven, flatscreen tv with firestick and access to Amazon video and Netflix etc.

Close to Hawes and Askrigg and many local sites such as Aysgarth Falls, Castle Bolton, Dales Museum, Wensleydale Cheese visitor centre etc. Five minutes' drive from a 5* restaurant and 5-10 minutes' drive from various pubs and cafes. Paddle boarding and kayaking, alpaca trekking, plus fishing, available at Semerwater - must be -re-booked, we can recommend companies who run classes and hire equipment (see Alfresco Adventures or Yorkshire SUP). Full local information provided at cottage, along with some walking books. Secure, locked bike storage available.
