Waterfront reträtt, välkomnar dig till paradiset. Vid Susquehanna-floden är Lake Aldred en åtta mil lång sjöform mellan två dammar i södra Lancaster County. Kom och koppla av och titta på örnarna (hem till 8 örnar bo) du kommer att ha dagliga observationer. Den perfekta platsen att njuta av med dina favoritaktiviteter; båtliv, fiske, vandring, outlet shopping, Amish land. I slutet av dagen spektakulära solnedgångar över sjön på din egen privata däck. Grilla på gasgrillen eller det fullt utrustade köket. Eller tillbringa veckan med att sitta vid sjön där vi har hästsko eller slå ett par golfbollar i hålet.
Dockage tillgängligt för din båt utifrån, offentliga rampen är 1/4 mil uppför Pequea Creek. Gott om parkering för släpvagnen i översvämningsområdet på plats.
Eller bara komma att koppla av och njuta av lugnet i området!

Koppla av i den öppna planlösningen; vardagsrum med perfekt utsikt, också njuta av att titta på en stor TV med DVD-spelare, fullt utrustat kök, mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin. Fullt badrum med badkar på båda våningarna. Sovrum 1 har en king size-säng, TV och sovrum 2 har en queen size-säng, TV. Badrummet på andra våningen inkluderar också en tvättmaskin och torktumlare, strykbräda, hårtork. Valfri luftbädd för extra personer tillgängliga. (Obs; # 868495 - angränsande fastighet för större sammankomster * tillgängliga priser, ytterligare 10 personer, vilket gör detta till ett 5-sovrumsalternativ.)

Sjön är omgiven av Holtwood Preserve; Shenk's Ferry Wildflower Preserve (en av de bästa i nordost) och Tucquan Glen Nature Preserve, Pinnacle Overlook ligger mindre än 5 mil bort. Conestoga-leden går genom Pequea och går med i Mason Dixon-trail-systemet. Kanotpaddling och kajakpaddling är fantastiska eftersom både Pequea Creek och Conestoga-floden slutar i detta avsnitt av floden Susquehanna. Perfekt område för vattenskidor eller fiske. Pequea-båtrampen inkluderar också ett handikappat fiskeområde, 1/4 mil uppför floden.

You won't want to leave

This was a great place to stay overlooking the Susquehanna! Brian and his mom were wonderful to work with, and I so appreciated them sharing some of their knowledge of Pequea with me. I loved watching the eagles in the trees right next to the house and the ever-changing clouds and light on the river! My favorite hiking trail is up the street. I enjoyed the trains going by, too. It was all together a relaxing and enjoyable weekend and I hope to go back soon!

great escape

we really like this property. the property owner even let us check in early, which we really appreciate. they salted and shoveled the porch when we got snow and ice. property is clean, nicely furnished and we love the lake and the trains! will definitely be returning.

Girls Weekend

Peque We arrived around 6:30pm. It was pitch dark. We opened the front door and were very impressed by the cleanliness of the property. We were immediately met by a stale mothball scent. We had a startling realization that we couldn’t open the windows. The owner had removed all of the handles to crank the windows open. He told us this himself. It gave an overwhelming feeling of being trap with no fresh air. I can’t imagine this is not a safety violation. Within 15 minutes of arrival there was a loud knock at our door. The owner told us we needed to move our cars out of the driveway, so he could get his car out of the garage. We were directed to move a car to the one parking space in-front of the house. The other car was to be parked in the ‘overflow’, which was 100 feet down the dark road with no light or sidewalk. We needed to walk on the dark winding road. When we went upstairs, we were shocked by the more than 7 inch step up to get into the bathroom. It was a real safety concern. The sectional couch was a fantastic place for a cozy evening of laughter and fun. In the morning, it was an incredibly peaceful view from the master bed! They played down the fact that the railroad tracks were about 75 feet off the back of the house between the house and the lake with freight trains that ran at night and are closer than the over flow parking. Overall, you can’t keep a girls weekend down, but we will not be back.

Tranquil respite by the lake!

The property was just as described and the property manager responded to our questions very quickly. It was located in a great location for our day trips to Gettysburg, Lancaster and Hershey I highly recommend this lovely home!

If you’re looking for peace and Mother Nature, come here!

Such an amazing short stay here at the Lake house! Beautiful property, Eagles right above the deck, short walking distance to conestoga trail to get some hiking in, sat by the lake for hours and don’t miss out on the sunsets! Feeling a nice reset after this stay, thank you!

Amazing house on a lake

Peaceful getaway

Stayed here for a few days as an escape before we went on to visit relatives in Johnstown. Such a beautiful place, the view of the lake was peaceful and sitting outside at night was calming. Very clean and comfortable place and would highly recommend recommend

Perfect Family Getaway

Amazing views!! Perfect break for fishing and tubing. The weather was beautiful, we had a few storms that rolled in that added to the beauty of where we were. The train never bothered us and just added to this special property. The owners are nearby so that was comforting. 10/10

Clean beautiful house with an amazing view

The house was very clean, there was minimal decorations which was great for our crawling infant. The view was spectacular, the train tracks were great for my boys however quiet enough in the house that you couldn’t even notice when they were passing. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back another time

Great getaway

Enjoyed a short getaway at the lake house. Beautiful views and great location. House was clean, well equipped and good, prompt communication with owners. Sunsets, the lake, birds, including a pair of bald eagles, along with dozens of butterflies enjoying the gardens provided welcomed entertainment.

I am always rejuvenated when I'm here at the river. I get a feeling of tranquility seeing the eagles and other wildlife in the area. I love being able to just jump on my boat ( any excuse is a good one ) and take a ride on the water. Let me tell you about the Safe Harbor Indian Petrogylphs and the local history and botany.

If you like getting away from it all, need to unwind or great place to play ~~ you found it!
The best area for boating, from waterskiing to kayaking, or fishing. We are close enough if want to have a nice dinner & show. The Fulton Opera House, the American Music Theater, Sight & Sound and several movie theaters are only 1/2 hour drive. If you are new to the area, come discover Amish Country, antiquing in Columbia or experiencing the clock and watch museum.

The Lake's tranquility and all the other things it has to offer may be the reason why the Indians chose to live here. Check out Indian Steps Museum, The Conestoga Historical Society, Canal Lock 12, Tucquan Glenn Nature Preserve , relax ~~ fish, boat or hike.
