Lake House ~ South
Waterfront reträtt; Kom bara för att fly och koppla av och njuta av att titta på örnarna flyga förbi i ögonhöjd (åtta örnar bo omkring sjön) eller bara titta på de otroliga solnedgångarna. Eller kom och lek på sjön. Lake Aldred är en åtta mil sjö känd för vattenskidor / fiske. Bildades av två dammar på Susquehanna-floden i södra Lancaster län. Däck gör detta till den perfekta reträtten. Huvuddäcket utanför huvudnivån är 960 kvm och innehåller en badtunna och gott om plats för alla. Dockutrymme tillgängligt för din båt framför huset.

Huvudnivå välkomnar dig till din privata reträtt, utsidan flödar inuti ~ vardagsrummet översvämningar med fönster som tar ut inuti. Köket öppnar mot det viktigaste vardagsrummet och fullt utrustat: mikrovågsugn, diskmaskin ~ passera genom bar till däck och gas grill matlagning. Eller laga middagar för dessa familjesammanträden. Gaskamin värmer platsen på de svala dagarna och gott om plats runt bordet för alla. Fullt badrum.

Sovrum 1: King size, sovnummer säng, med privat toalett, handfat (hårtork) - spektakulär utsikt över sjön.
Sovrum 2: Queen size-säng och privat däck till solbad, men ändå njuter av utsikten över badtunnan, eldstaden och naturligtvis sjön.

The house was very spacious with a lot of closet space and drawers. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had more than enough plates, cups, silverware and pots and pans. There were also a lot of towels and washcloths. Beautiful views, especially sunsets, from the deck. The host promptly returned all of my text messages. We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here with our wedding party for our wedding weekend. We were able to host a cookout, our rehearsal walk through, and all the weekend festivities. Brian was always responsive to my questions and provided us with a stress free weekend. The views are AMAZING! The property truly is a steal, picturesque and equipped with everything you need.

We love the location of this house because we enjoy boating. The house is clean and spacious and has a great deck to hang out on. Very comfortable beds with TV's in every bedroom. Very well kept home.

Owners were easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful. Property was beautiful, quiet, peaceful and clean. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and games and puzzles galore. From the wildlife to the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.

Fun for everyone

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House South. The views were amazing, and it was fun to watch the birds and bunnies in the yard. We had everything we needed and then some. The home was clean except for some dead bugs on the high windowsills that were hard to reach for a cleaning person. It did make a difference when looking out the bedroom windows over the Livingroom and we wished they weren't there. We loved the pottery decor and the variety of books on the bookshelves. The road was closed right near us, so it was a very quiet and peaceful area. The train track is close, but it was fun to watch them when they passed through. There were not that many, but some came through at night. Even so, it was not that loud and if you book a place with a train track, expect to hear trains. We would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again. I would also totally recommend going to Village Greens Golf Mini Golf near Strasburg while you are in the area. It was one of the most beautiful mini golf places I have ever been to. Waterfalls and flowers!

Beautiful views!

We loved our stay at this house. In town for a wedding, the space was the perfect size to let us visit with family and get ready. Only thing others may want to know is how close the train tracks are to the house. We had lots of safety talks with our kids, and we always knew when the train was going by! But the views of the river can’t be beat.

Spacious and unique rental

The property met our needs for space and amenities. The area and setting of the property is lovely. It was chilly the week we visited otherwise we would have spent more time outside. We had an easy check in with good instructions. We had no need to contact the owner during our stay.We were satisfied with the accommodations.

6th Annual Sibling Trip

The property was beautiful as well as the view. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The ice machine was broke but called Brian and he was very accommodating and fixed it right away. We were very fortunate to meet him face to face. Enjoyed visiting with him. A great place and centrally located for everything we wanted to do.

Autumn on the Lake

We had a wonderful stay and had ample space to provide escape when needed and gathering spaces for game time and fellowship. Brian was very attentive to a couple of minor situations and was able to fix them immediately. We all enjoyed the tranquility and view each morning and all the items needed to prepare meals was terrific. We only wished that the fire pit was cleaned out and had smaller logs to burn. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay.

This had been my home so there are all the extra little touches that make this a home. We are constantly putting upgrades Into the property, please come enjoy them! If you have any suggestions, please let us know. This is where I come to relax and recharge .... beautiful and relaxing. My family loves to use this place to gather all together - lots of space and very comfortable.

I still get excited when the bald eagles fly by. There are eight nest on the 8 mile lake. The eagle population is exploding!
The lake is perfect for boating, I have a pontoon boat, great kayaking, many great fishing holes..... Try exploring the Safe Harbor Petrogylphs. Enjoy biking, newly open Enola Low Grade Rail Trail, 29 miles. Also nice for hiking, or jump on the Conestoga Trail which connects to the Mason Dixon Trail, 39 miles of local trails. Shenks Ferry Wildflower Preserve is best in April.
