Good location.

We stayed here to go to BMT graduation at Lackland. Great location between Lackland and the airport. Good freeway access. Not far from downtown/Riverwalk/Alamo.

Clean House Located in the Medical Center

The house was close to where we needed to be, clean, and had all the linens and dishes we needed.The family enjoyed the stay.

Sleepless nights

If you dont want to sleep, stay here. They call it the Peacock House for reason. Peacocks all over the place, and I mean ALL OVER THE PLACE running loose in neighborhood. Backyard, front yard, roof top , etc. making endless noise day and night and running on roof. We slept maybe 2-3 hours each night, we looked like zombies the next morning. Beautiful birds but toooo much noise. Nice house just the birds were no good.

Peacock House

Very nice house. Very clean Bed was a little soft for me but fine My only suggestion is that the hall bathroom needs a shade for the top half of the window (bottom half is blacked out). People in houses on hill behind can look right into bathroom!

San Antonio stay

The Peacock House was exactly what we needed for our visit to San Antonio-wheelchair accessible and close to the Medical Center. It was comfortable and spacious. We will definitely look it up again!!

Loved the Peacock House

I stayed the weekend with my son, my mom, my boyfriend, and his mom at the peacock house for my first trip ever to San Antonio. We loved the house, we had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We were only a short drive from everything we wanted to do and see. We loved seeing all the peacocks. I had looked at many, many different houses for this trip on both this site and others, but I am so very happy I picked this one.

Peacock fun!

The property was very beautiful! Every room was peacock themed. The house had everything we needed. The best part was seeing the peacocks roam freely in the front and back yard!

Welcoming & Easy Access

This was our family’s first trip since my spouse’s stroke. The fact that the property was handicapped & wheelchair accessible made our vacation stress-free. My granddaughters loved watching peacocks on the property. I’m definitely keeping this property in mind on future visits to San Antonio.

Perfect for our family vacation

My husband has mobility problems and this house was extremely well equipped to meet his needs. In addition, it is actually more spacious than it appears in the photos so there was lots of room for everyone to congregate or to have alone time. It is close to everything we wanted to see and do. The peacocks added to what was a great family vacation and made it even more memorable. The owner was wonderful and very responsive to every one of our requests. I highly recommend this property.

Great stay at Peacock House

My husband and I stayed at Peacock House for the month of February. It was a great location for us to enjoy San Antonio. The house is very comfortable with lots of room. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to prepare meals. The garage is a plus. The keyless access made it easy for us to come and go each day. Monica was very responsive to questions. The peacocks visited daily and we enjoyed watching them in the back yard. We would definitely stay at Peacock House again if we had an extended stay in San Antonio.

Very comfortable and centrally located

First off, Monica, the host, was always avail for questions. House is super convenient, 3 bds, 2 baths, great kitchen, living, etc. You can park inside the 1 car garage. Neighborhood is quiet and best part? You get to be surrounded by gorgeus peacocks. They are all over the street, and they love dog food. The house was so clean, I forgot my flip flops and walked around with white socks and they were spotless. Great home. Great location and great host. Will definitely be back! 15 mins from La Cantera and the Rim. Shop away!

Not great, but just OK.

When we first arrived at the house, there were about 24-25 peacocks all over the front and back yard; they are very noisy. Our cars were covered with bird poop. As a whole, the house was alright. The kitchen only had 2 towels, but we managed. The master bathroom shower was like taking a shower with a water pick - no water pressure plus we had a hard time getting hot water constantly. In the other bathroom, the drain in the bathtub did not work and there were ants in there. The beds were very comfortable. We only in the evenings, so our stay was OK. I don't think it would be a good house for a long term stay, but a few nights it will work. There are many places to eat and shop along the highway. Easy access to Sea World.

A lot of problems with this house

First, the house was not very clean. The water pressure in the master was so low we couldn't use that room at all. The other shower was great but water pumped out of the wall when in use (you could tell by looking at the wall that this has been happening for a very long time) We had to use bath towels to soak up the water but there were no cleaning supplies to wash the towels! With the exception of dish soap and a can of disinfectant there were no cleaning supplies AT ALL. Monica (knowing it was just my husband and I) said I should have requested cleaning supplies because they are dangerous to children. The toaster oven didn't work, the handle fell off the skillet while cooking bacon, there were no dish towels, dish rags or sponges. There was a key broken off in the little bunk house out back so it was also unusable. The springs were shot in the couch, I could go on and on. Monica swung by with a few items for us but did not offer to adjust the bill in any way. Very disappointing.

Perfect

In town for my daughter’s wedding and needed a place for a larger family. This house was PERFECT! Enjoyed the large backyard with grill and the family had a great time. I would not hesitate to stay at the peacock house again!

Raised in Mexico city, I came to San Antonio in the early 80'. I obtained my BA from UTSA in 2007 and started my remodeling business in 2013.
I find this home very cosy, unique and very hard to get rid of it.
I prefer for visitors to come and enjoy all the advantages of this home, and its excellent location.
