Spring Break 2025!

This is by far one of the best homes I have stayed at during my family trips using Vrbo to locate quality vacation rental homes. I will most definitely being staying here again for our next visit to Santa Cruz. I HIGHLY recommend this vacation rental home for the following reasons:Excellent Communication with Marlene.I appreciated her personal phone call to ensure a safe visit and to ensure we understood her house keeping expectations. She was always available via text if every I had a few questions. All home instructions were also in a very organized packet upon entering the home. House alarm was nice too!Clean and Beautiful Home.The house was very clean. All of the bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, patio, front porch, decks, and garage were extremely clean, organized, well stocked with linens, and cooking supplies. Washer and dryer very helpful. Comfortable beds, teens were happy!Safe and Lovely Neighborhood:Neighbors were welcoming as we took walks to the beach or local convenient store. Families in the area riding bikes and walking their pets also gave a safe feeling. Clean area, everyone takes good care of their homes. Great Location:Walks to the beach were excellent. The house has beach chairs, toys, and other fun outdoor equipment. Not a long drive to the pier either. Fun family day at the pier. My favoritesLove the fireplace, jacuzzi, tall glass windows to enjoy the backyard, comfy furniture, peaceful, area and parking is good. Simply perfect!

Great visit to Santa Cruz

Probably one of the nicest properties we have stayed at in our travels. Even nicer than the pictures show! Location was excellent and house and kitchen were well stocked and provided everything we needed. Didn’t end up using the outdoor area much because of all the acorns and debris from the beautiful oak tree in the backyard but that’s okay. We had a wonderful visit, thank you!

Cozy, beautiful, comfy and wonderful. Lots of little things to make it perfect. The bed downstairs was so comfy. Heated floors were fabulous. All the amenities were perfect.

Family Fun Getaway

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a quiet safe neighborhood close to Seabright, a beach at the end of the street. The parking situation was very narrow, however, we were able to situate up to 4 cars on or near the property. The spacing was tight for our cars but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. The entrance felt private & safe since it was located on the side of the house. Once you enter the home, you notice the bright natural lighting (around 3pm). It was a very open space with the kitchen, dining & living room all together. The master bedroom was located on the first floor right next to the living room & stairs, so this plan wouldn’t be too ideal for families with children. What I really enjoyed about the master bedroom was the amount of closet space. The upstairs was even brighter & well furnished with even better views, given it has two different balconies. They provided us with small bathroom amenities such as make up wipes, body wash & plenty of different towels I very much appreciated this as I benefitted from all of them! We used the hot tub both nights & it does require some time to heat up, but once it’s hot, it stays hot. Curfew was at 10pm & it really does get quiet in the neighborhood so you do notice the intensity of your own volume when outside. They even provided extra bath robes upstairs & downstairs & they came super in handy for these situations. Only inconvenience was, I didn’t get my check out instructions until 2hrs before check out.

Perfect stay, great location.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful family home. The property is very clean, extremely well equipped and is well located for the beach. The additional touches of beach equipment such as bodyboards, umbrellas, a trolley, beach towels etc was very much appreciated. Thank you Maureen for sharing your lovely home.

Great home, great location

This was the perfect vacation spot for our family of four (two teens and two adults). Fully equipped with beach gear (chairs, coolers, boogie boards), walking distance to Twin Lakes beach, marina and Crows Nest. Comfortable beds, great home layout, nice kitchen. Excellent communication from the owners. We've stayed at three homes in Santa Cruz over the years, and this is the best one.

Wonderful stay

One of the best vrbo stays we have had. House was wonderful and large enough for party of 5. The house was very clean and had wonderful amenities ! Walking distance to beach and wharf. We met the owner who had stopped by with notice and our permission to fix an issue with the garage door. Very pleasant and accommodating. We actually left there and headed to another property in Carmel valley. Very much preferred this property over the Carmel house. Thank you very much for sharing your home! Highly recommend .

Lovely Oceanside cottage

We had a lovely stay… Only a five minute walk to the beach. Little touches such as boogie boards, beach towels, air hockey, bath robes and hot tub. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Family Vacation

We could not have had a better time, the location of the property was perfect. Everything just as advertised. My husband accidently lost his wedding band during our stay. The cleaning folks found and the host mailed it back to us! Above and beyond we are forever grateful! Definitely will be back, my grandson asked if we could come back every summer! Thanks again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our short break at this beautiful property. Great kitchen and living area. Party of 4 adults and 4 children . Loved the hot tub. Would be useful to have 8 indoor chairs for dining.

Amazing stay!!

This property far exceeded our expectations!! It reflected the listing perfectly and included additional touches that made our stay delightful! The space was very clean and we appreciated the amount of towels, bedding, and activities included in the home. Our host was helpful, thoughtful, and communicative. I would recommend this spot to anyone and hope to stay here again in the future!

My husband and I work and live in Silicon Valley. We are Ohio transplants but have called San Jose our home for over 30 years so I guess we are locals now. We love to hike, bike, fish (my husband) and relax at the beach.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Even though we only live 25 minutes from the property we feel like we are on vacation whenever we go to Santa Cruz. The stress and traffic of Silicon Valley makes coming to Santa Cruz so relaxing. We had been looking for a vacation rental for over 3 years as we needed a downstairs bed and bath and an open floor plan for our son who uses a wheelchair. We also wanted to be close to a beach with no stairs so we could easily get him to the beach. 420 9th Ave. met and exceeded our needs.
