SAMMANFATTNING
Välkommen till Lago House. Detta moderna hem rymmer upp till tio och har fem sovrum, inklusive en master badrum, tre badrum och en halv badrum, alla med ett komplett komplement av sängkläder. Köket rymmer bekvämt hemmakocken med tillräckligt med kockverktyg, servis och bestick för att betjäna din familj.

Lago House är bekvämt inredda med en vedeldad eldstad i eldsten, flera soffor, stolar och ett matbord med tallhus med plats för tio vuxna. Media och spelrum har utsikt över sjön, bibliotek, satellit-TV med DVD-spelare, ett fotbollsbord och många populära brädspel. Den utomhus fyra personliga badtunna ligger på undre däck, skyddad från regnet och har utsikt över sjön.

Lago House ligger vid den pittoreska sjön Titus, en 90 tunnland färskvattensjö i Catskill-bergen. På 2 000 fot över havet är den friska fjällluften uppfriskande. De två tunnlandfastigheterna är halvskogade och säkerställer den känslan av flykt. Den bi-nivå däck erbjuder underbar utsikt över sjön, utanför matsal, solbad och en skyddad fyra person badtunna. De 210 foten på fasaden erbjuder en strand, tillgång till sjövägen och en brygga för att starta en båt (2-roddbåtar tillhandahållna) eller för att ta ett dopp. Eldstaden ligger nära sjön, perfekt för en solnedgång bål eller en kväll marshmallow stek.

Lokala aktiviteter inkluderar ridning, vandring, fiske, golf och en bergskörning. En biograf och köpcentrum ligger 30 minuters bilresa bort. Handla livsmedel lokalt, där gården ligger i överflöd eller ta med dina egna och njut av en avkopplande och lugn vistelse.

Lago House Beskrivning Detalj
Lago House är ett 3 100 kvadratmeter stort högsäsongshus med fem sovrum och tre och en halv badrum. Befälhavaren badrum (en drottning säng) är på övre plan och vetter mot sjön. Det finns ytterligare två sovrum på första våningen (två enkelsängar i vardera). Det finns ett komplett badrum på denna nivå samt ett halvt badrum utanför köket. Det är en öppen planlösning med kök, matsal och vardagsrum öppna för varandra.

Det finns också ett däck på denna nivå med utsikt över sjön och en propangrill. Vardagsrummet har en öppen spis med blåsten (ved tillhandahålls) och en väggmonterad 42-tums platt-TV med en DVD-spelare.

Huset ligger i en kulle och den bakre delen av den lägre nivån är under klass. De tre andra sidorna är öppna på gården. Framsidan av den lägre nivån vetter mot husets sjö och är öppen. Den har ett annat däck där du hittar vår badtunna.

Inuti hittar du ett annat sovrum (en drottningssäng), det femte sovrummet (två enkelsängar) och ett komplett badrum. Familjerummet med den andra 42-tums platt-TV och DVD-spelaren är på denna nivå liksom vårt tvättstuga. Båda TV-apparaterna i huset tar emot DIRECTV-satellit-tv med HBO och Showtime. Nätverkstationerna (ABC, CBS, FOX och NBC) kommer från New York City.

Lokalt väder
Med tanke på vårt läge i mitten av Catskill-regionen får vi fördelen med ganska milda temperaturer under sommarmånaderna (80-talet under dagen och höga 60-tal / låga 70-tal på natten), varför vi inte har luftkonditionering. Vi har flera takfläktar och många fönster.

Under vintermånaderna får vi bra snöfall. Huset ligger inom en timmes bilresa till tre främsta skidorter i Catskill:
(i) Hunter Mountain
(ii) Windham Mountain
(iii) Plattekill Mountain

Great property! We had a group for Cooperstown all-star village and the house was great space. Plenty of large rooms to hang out and bedrooms/bathrooms for all to stay comfortably. Beautiful area down by the lake too.

Property was amazing. More than we thought even given the great photos. Wished we'd have stayed longer, surrounding area has much to experience. Everyone had plenty of space and access to the fire pit and the lake took this trip up another level. Will stay again.

Great well at the lake

This was our second stay at Lago house and couldn’t be happier. Plenty of room for everyone, and has everything you need for a week floating and fishing in the lake. Already planning a return trip next summer.

Home base to explore the region

We had a wonderful stay at Lago House. There was plenty of space to spread out and the teens enjoyed having their own hang out and sleeping space on the lower level while the adults shared the upper level. All of the amenities listed were accurate to the listings and the beds were comfortable! We enjoyed swimming, boating and traveling to Hobart Book Village, Cooperstown and the Catskill Rail Trail!

Beautiful Family & Friends Getaway

The house was a perfect layout to host our multi-family getaway weekend. There was enough space and privacy for each family to have their own little section, including bathrooms! We all gathered in the common area and kitchen for games and meals. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake while playing a game of catch outside.

Family Vacation

The house was perfect for our needs. Our family had a blissful week of lake time, coffee on the deck overlooking the water, campfires in the evening, and time to relax in the hot tub. A trip to the National Baseball Hall of Fame was an easy and pretty drive away. The house was exactly as described and was the perfect quiet and remote spot that we wanted. We would definitely recommend Lago House.

October get away

We booked this place because had a hot tub and it was in the middle of 2 sisters home, it’s huge, love the the lay out, love the property, it has a hot tub, BUT when we stayed it was not working, so the owner was kind enough to reimburse some money.

Family get away

For a large family and two dogs in a love with the water this was a perfect location for us. The property was well cared for. Any issues the property manager was easily available. Lake was a little small for our taste but overall was able to get some sailing in on a sunfish and lots of paddle boarding and kayaks. Thanks to Troy for his hospitality

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Lago House. The property sits right on the lake, offering gorgeous views that made each morning feel peaceful and refreshing. Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Lago House. Our grandkids had such a great time that they asked about coming back! Only one suggestion: The property slopes to the water in the back, and it would be helpful if the stone steps were evenly placed instead of uneven, we are in our 60's and fearful of stepping on them and falling in the uneven condition they are in. Other than that, Troy was a super host and very responsive. Thank you Troy!

Even Better the 2nd Time

This was our 2nd time staying at Troy's place and it was excellent yet again. If you're a fresh water angler, the fishing is really good. Large Mouth Bass and pickerel are hearty and abundant. We also came across a few Small Mouth Bass and yellow perch during our weekend. Bald Eagles and Osprey hovering around the lake everyday. The night time sky is quite a sight as well, especially if you're from an area with a lot of light pollution like we are. This is a nice change of scenery. I highly recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Perfect Summer Getaway

Our family had a great time at Lago house this summer! House is spacious enough for everyone, even allowing an uncle with health issues to have his own bedroom and bathroom suite which was great. House was very clean when we arrived, and was fully stocked with most of the things you would need to cook and serve a large group. The yard and lake are amazing. We floated all week on our standup paddle boards brought from home but did use one of the rowboats which worked out well for fishing. We all agreed we would come back and spend more time there in the future. Troy is great and even reached out to see how everything was going. Can't wait to get back up there!

One of our best vacations

This house exceeded all expectations! It is so spacious - the downstairs rec room with comfy couch, extra tv and ping pong table were a complete surprise to us! The adults and the kids had so much room to hang out and have fun. The kitchen is huge - lots of cooking and cocktail making happened here. Family game night around the extra large dining room table was my favorite. You can't beat the view and we can't wait to come back in summer and enjoy a thawed out lake - although we did have a lot of fun dancing on it while it was frozen solid. Thank you, Troy, for sharing your home with us! Check in/out information was so helpful and he definitely went above and beyond by providing packing tips and local recommendations.

Wonderful getaway for a big group

I booked the Lago House for a holiday trip with a group of 9 adults, and we were so impressed by the size of the house — we all felt like we had our own space while still having the chance to hang out in the two generously sized living rooms, and could share meals together at the huge dining table and open kitchen. Since we were there in the winter with snow on the ground, we didn't have as much of a chance to use the backyard, but it's huge and would be amazing in the summertime (same with the two deck levels). We did get a chance to use the hot tub on the lower deck, which was awesome. The lake is so quiet, and the area is removed enough to feel peaceful, while still being accessible to local amenities. We had an issue with heating in the living area of the house upon our arrival due to the recent deep freeze in New York, but Troy was extremely responsive and helpful, and had maintenance technicians sent out immediately to rectify the issue. He was kind enough to check in several times to ensure we were comfortable once the issue was fixed. This is a wonderful rental for a large group or family, and I'd definitely book it again if we return to the area in the future.

Came with 4 other couples on motorcycles so having bedding and towels provided was fantastic. House was clean and exactly as pictured. Had terrible storms on Saturday so basement felt damp but we were able to open some windows after and move the air with the fans so that worked perfectly. Sadly didn't get to be by the lake much or explore the Catskills due to the weather, but maybe next time. The couple of local taverns and restaurants we got to were fun. Tops grocery store about 20 mins away so we were able to restock a few provisions on the bikes. Everyone mentioned it was a great choice and want to come again, fingers crossed weather cooperates. Troy is great and super responsive to our questions. Thanks!

We are a family of five and live and work in New York City. Our three children are in grade school and love spending time at Lago House. We use the house quite a bit and some of the blocked-out dates are times we will be using the house.

Our favorite activities are swimming and fishing on the lake (the kids love looking for worms and night-crawlers to use as bait), taking day trips to Cooperstown, NY and skiing at three area ski resorts (Plattekill, Hunter, and Windham). There are a number of nature trails nearby as well.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Our home is located on a two-acre lot that feels and looks like a park. Most of our lawn is flat and there is a gentle slope from the lawn into the lake. Having 210’ of walk-out lake access is very unique. The water is very shallow for a good 10’-12’ from shore, which is ideal if you are traveling with children. Additionally, the lake is private with no public access. There are just 10 homes on the lake and it feels very secluded. The surrounding area is rural and is mostly working farmland.

Spring brings the start of hiking season and great fishing. The summer months time spent on the lake are wonderful. Swimming, fishing and having a picnic lakeside during the day or bonfire in evening and watching the stars at night all make for very special memories. Day trips to go golfing, hiking, fly fishing in local streams and checking out the Ommegang Brewery in Cooperstown, either before or after a visit to the Baseball Hall of Fame are other ways to fill your time away.

During the Fall the “Leaf Peeping” is at a peak, it's just sweater weather and the fish are still biting, and, besides, you get to take advantage of all of the farm stands before they close! During the winter, snowfall transforms our property into a wonderland. The two-acre property is great for sleds and we try to take full advantage of our location and visit Plattekill, Windham or Hunter Mountain.
