We booked the entire property to host our wedding. Not only was it incredibly beautiful and historic but it was also a warm and extremely comfortable backdrop to gather as a family. Rachel and Donald were not only extremely communicative with me but also connected with my wedding planner to help with set up.They were so helpful and kind. We will definitely be back!

We rented the house and all of the cottages and my first guest described it as magical and it truly is a magical place. It was perfect for our group of 30, so nice that people could go back to their own cottage at the end of the day.The house and cottages are so beutiful and so well maintained. The property is simply paradise.I could honestly just take four days and sit in the garden and enjoy the house.Both Rachel and Donald do a wonderful job of maintaining the place and their recommendations for places to eat and so on are right on target.My family and friends loved our time here and look forward to coming back again.

Wonderful home, grounds and hosts

Well appointed, tidy and taken care of nicely throughout. The kitchen was great for our large family as was the dining room and laundry. Bonus was having the river and grounds to enjoy.

Outstanding accommodations and impeccable hospitality!

The experience at TBH exceeded ALL of our expectations! Donald and Rachel helped make our wedding week with family of 24 the most perfect of settings. The house, cottages and grounds are exquisite, and the warmth and service we received were exceptional. We recommend the Beaufort House for whatever your vacation plans might be! Blessed to have been able to share this special place for our special family event.

We had taken my entire extended family to Ireland for my parents. Both my sisters, their families, my children, and their spouses came. It was quite the traveling chaos but our hosts were wonderful and made us all very comfortable. Would absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

Magical Vacation

Beaufort House was the most perfect backdrop for our family vacation. Hosts Donald and Rachel were amazing and so very welcoming. A beautiful and special home that they shared with us. Noone wanted to leave including my teenage nephews! High praise for sure. I think a visit back is in our future. Thank you again.

Wonderful experience in every way

19 of us stayed at Beaufort House while celebrating our daughter’s wedding. It was a wonderful experience in every way possible. Donald and Rachel are delightful hosts, welcoming, friendly, attentive, accommodating, and very responsive. Their home is beautiful, elegant, and comfortable. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our visit. The location is also great, just a short drive to Killarney and walking distance to two very nice pubs.

MAGNIFICENT ESCAPE

A large group of us are turning 60 this year and decided to celebrate at Beaufort House. Great choice we made. Beautiful country setting in an exquisite house, with extremely kind and accommodating hosts. Wonderful to enjoy meals in the main dining room and gather in several warm and welcoming rooms before and after dinner. Very cozy bedrooms as well. Everyone of us (15 in all) had a fantastic time--both at the house and traveling from it to Irish beauty beyond compare. PERFECT!

Family Wedding

Our extended family stayed on the property for a family wedding at the Dunloe Hotel. The house and cottages are great - as nice as on the website and in the videos. We had a range of ages from 10 - 81 and it worked out very well. The property is lovely and we had a chance to enjoy the grounds and some of us went fishing. The owners and their team were welcoming and helpful. It was a memorable stay and well worth it!

Wonderful Property & Location

The Beaufort house was everything we were expecting and more ! Each kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need, the beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were in great working order. The owners were super accommodating and available to answer any questions. The grounds are gorgeous, we especially enjoyed our evening walks by the river and saying hello to the neighboring cows. And the three resident Labrador Retrievers were a fun bonus, so playful and friendly. If you are considering the Beaufort house we highly recommend it !

OUTSTANDING!

Donald and Rachel were phenomenal host for our week there. We rented the entire estate and hosted 40+ for a wedding. We couldn't of asked for a better location. The town of Beaufort is perfect for walking to grab a quick bite or just to have a pint. Killarney and other local attractions are just a short drive or taxi ride away. I would recommend this to any one regardless of the size of your party or travel arrangements.

Most wonderful family reunion vacation

My family plus my 3 siblings and their families and my parents all stayed for 5 days. The property is amazing, we felt like we were staying in a castle! The younger kids loved running around the gorgeous yard and going to river. We had spectacular weather so were able to eat dinner outside a couple of times. We did day trip from Beaufort as our home base and it worked smoothly. Everyone is hoping we can go back some time soon! Truly a vacation no one will ever forget! So much room, each family had their own space and kitchen. Five stars from us all the way around!

Brilliant time together

We had a family celebration - 45th wedding anniversary and Donald and Rachel were brilliant. The house was better than expected as the rooms were very large and there was even servicing in the week. Everything we wanted was provided. The arrangement of the property enabled the 17 of us to be able to be together at times and also to give each group space to themselves. We had great weather so it was also easy to have a barbecue for all as well. Just a truly memorable experience.

Absolute magic

We stepped into an old world at Beaufort. What a brilliant and beautiful property. We stayed with 28 others from the US and no one wanted to leave. It’s just far enough removed from Killarney that you get the dark sky and quiet mornings. You can hear the river and see many species of birds. Donald and Rachel were fantastic hosts, helping us with catering and anything we needed. They left local eggs, butter, bread, and milk in all the cottages and it made our first couple mornings so much easier and enjoyable. We can’t stop thinking about our time there. We can’t wait to go back.

If you are planning a group gathering for family and friends this property is the perfect place. 22 altogether and to say it was the trip of a lifetime might be an understatement. We rented all available properties which includes the main house as well as individual cottage units. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. In the main house 2 of the bathrooms have showers as well as tubs which was a plus because the cottage bathroom had tubs that tend to be a bit challenging for those who had to climb over the side. That was the only thing that might be considered when booking. Everything else and I mean everything else was perfection. We had room to gather in individual spaces as well as gather in the main house for a catered BBQ and Breakfast by Truffle Honey. Recommended by Donald and it was a great start to our Killarney experience. Since we had such a large group the tour companies came to the house to pick us up, everyone seems to know the property. For a fascinating history of the house, Donald is happy to share its story and connection to the house. I VRBO a lot and this ranks up at the top!

The property was as advertised. The property was even nicer than the pictures captured. Rachel and Donald were warm and welcoming. They were in the background, almost invisible but appeared instantly for any request.My extended family filled the location and we all had the experience of a lifetime. Many gathering places near the house and cottages were warm and inviting for an early morning coffee gathering, of for an evening family gathering to revisit the day.The nearby park was inviting for walks, fishing, and town activities, Celtic dancing, races, etc. filled out the time. Everyone was so nice.

Our extended family of 21 people (ages 2 thru 76) spent a wonderful week at Beaufort House and the surrounding cottages, and it could not have been a better home base for our trip to County Kerry. The property provided the perfect balance of togetherness and privacy, allowing us to gather each evening after spending our days exploring the area both collectively and in smaller groups.We arranged for a caterer to prepare dinners, and the dining spaces worked beautifully for bringing everyone together. The house and grounds are exceptionally well maintained, with gorgeous gardens filled with fragrant roses that made every stroll around the property a pleasure.Rachel and Donald were attentive, responsive, and genuinely welcoming hosts throughout our stay. Donald even took the time to give us a fascinating tour of the house, sharing its rich history and his family’s connection to the property, which made our experience even more special. Their three dogs were also a highlight, friendly, lovable companions that everyone in our group enjoyed seeing each day.We made wonderful memories here and would highly recommend it to large family groups or anyone looking for a special place to stay in Ireland.

Wonderful Family Vacation

Donald and Rachel were wonderful hosts and the Manor was a awesome experience. We had 30 family members stay and we felt we had plenty of space between the main house and cottages. Memorable holiday for us all! Also, Oscar (Labrador) was a wonderful escort for the nieces and nephews for their daily walk to the river.

80th Birthday

Fantastic property for a large group. Communication with owner was easy and respond was swift. . Housekeeper on site was extremely helpful. The whole stay was wonderful. In particular the catering company recommended by owner did a superb job.
