Breathtaking Views
We have just returned from a memorable week at Noosa Beachfront Home.
From the booking process onwards David communicated well and sent us useful information for our stay and as it was our first Stayz booking I found this reassuring.
The house itself is great. So spacious and everyone had their own space to relax while still being together. It is spotlessly clean, and you can tell although it is not super modern, it has been lovingly taken care of.
The views of the ocean are just magnificent. The master suite (which my parents used) has panoramic views and the stars at night over the water from the balconies were insane!
We loved the table tennis table and the swimming pool too. Nice touches were that there were a few pool toys and beach toys available for us to use, and that basics like tea bags, condiments, glad wrap and cleaning products were there for us to use to save on packing.
We had a problem on arrival with getting in using the key safe, and although the owners were overseas they responded to our texts within minutes and the person they had left as a contact was at the property less than 10minutes from me calling her! This prevented what could have been a big hiccup.
In terms of location, the house is not in Noosa main so a car hire does need to be factored in, and David did advise of this in advance which was fine. The beach the house overlooks is not an ideal beach for kids as it is a no leash dog beach, it is not patrolled, and the waves are very high and not suitable for swimming. Also the access to the beach requires crossing quite a main road. We felt a tinge of disappointment that our beach house wasn't right on the beach but as we had the car we did have fun exploring all the other local suitable beaches.
The house is right on the main road and there is some noise from traffic. I had read this in the reviews but do think it is worth a mention as large lorries and motorbikes can be heard inside the house.
Access to the swimming pool requires getting down some uneven steps (made of rocks) and there is no hand rail so someone who has mobility issues would not be able to get down there. Again, it didn't affect our stay but my parents sometimes found it a little tricky (in their 60s)
Also there is a raised deck area which is lovely to sit and eat at but it does not have a balcony rail so if my children were younger this would have been a problem as there is a drop the other side. This is easily fixable at a later
