The Nest ligger på nästan en tunnland, inbäddat bland torniga träd, på kanten av Yarra Ranges National Park och går tillbaka till Badger Creek.

Med en gammal ormbunke, blommande wattles, meskameror och ljusbarkgummi, besöks fastigheten av en mängd vilda saker ... papegojor, rosellor, svarta och vita cockies, kookaburras, wombats och rådjur.

Det är en lugn miljö nära naturen men med alla moderna bekvämligheter.

Förutom de två stora sovrummen, båda med dubbelsängar, inkluderar boendet en stor lounge och matplats, varm förbränningsugn, fullt utrustat kök, tvättstuga, stort badkar och separat pulverrum.

Trä för elden, lakan och handdukar tillhandahålls tillsammans med några av köken grunderna som kaffe, te, socker, mjöl, kryddor, smör och mjölk.

The Nest är perfekt för helgerna, bara en timmes bilresa från Melbourne.

The house was very clean and comfortable. The location is absolutely amazing, you feel as though you are so far from everything but yet so close. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

A lovely getaway cottage, surrounded by forest...with views from every window and door. Inside, the house is tastfully furnished, with fireplace. Very peaceful and relaxing. Plentiful birdlife and a wonderful walk to a babling brook with treeferns!

Peaceful getaway

Such a cosy place, the fire makes it nice and warm. The kids loved watching all the birds in the beautiful trees. Had everything we needed for a trip away.

Our stay at the nest

We had a fabulous long weekend with the family. The amenities, location and cabin was fantastic. The only drawback was having to buy our own wood, kindling and heat beads in order to use the wood fire heater as owner’s wood was damp.

Loved it

Great cottage with good amenities. Wood fire and firewood supply made it so cosy. Bathroom and kitchen nice. All very clean. Beds very comfortable. Picturesque and peaceful. Short walk to the creek. Loved it.

Pleasing guests is no afterthought.

What a delightful place this is. Very tastefully decorated and so peaceful. Such joy to sit on the deck in the early morn to take in the sounds of the creek nearby, we did a great deal of chilling. Plenty of CD musical selections as well as DVD'S, books, games and a wonderful fireplace. Healesville offers great food and coffee too. You cannot go wrong and so close to Melbourne. We met the neighbours down the street, so pleasant, they were selling plants, what a weekend. :) Thanks to our Host, Nick Many thanks to our Host, Nick

Exceeded expectations

I love our weekend getaway. My sister and I stayed here it was so peaceful and serene. Surround by bush land and native birds, we felt a million miles from the real world. A short drive to the delightful township of Healesville (can recommend Chachi Yarra Valley for excellent service, food and coffee). Loved it. Would definitely recommend.

The Nest

Great house in a perfect location. Has everything you'd need, with an impressive cd collection too. Close to Healesville and the national park. We had a lovely stay here.

Peace & Quiet

Fabulous location with the forest as your neighbour. Perfect for a couple of days away with its proximity to Melbourne and everything you need 10 minutes away in Healesville. We’ll be back.

A wonderful weekend away from it all

Our family really enjoyed a laid back weekend staying at the Nest, with its serene bush outlook and peace and quiet. The mix of weather allowed us to enjoy the fire and play some of the games provided, while also enjoying a number of walks nearby and accessing the creek at the back of the property. It was really clean, and had a great bath and kitchen. The birdlife was another plus and we all came away feeling relaxed.

Relaxing , cosy, nature at your doorstep

Beautiful home with everything you need. Loved the cosy fire and the parrots that greeted us in the mornings. Lots to do in the area- great food/ wine and scenery.

Beautiful and peaceful

The house is very comfortable, clean and stylish. The bedrooms are so comfortable and the bed linen was fresh and crisp. We felt instantly relaxed in the house. But the location is what makes it the perfect place to relax. All you can see from the living area is trees. It was so quiet at night. All you can hear is the creek flowing. In the day there are lots of birds and the bird seed provided by the owners makes for a fun activity, in theme with the name of the place. I honestly loved staying in this house.

This property is surely a beautiful gift for it's unique setting. Stunning potential.

What a stunning location and simply gorgeous cottage style accommodation. We loved our stay, but found a few things really brought it down for us..... Unfortunately it was overshadowed by a lack of care and attention to detail especially around the cleanliness of the kitchen area and mentioned items available on the website. Upon arrival the property appeared scruffy and unkempt, ragwort growing and grass thigh high around the veranda edges. A little garden just growing weeds, not attended in a while. The stove top around temp knobs and toaster next to it was covered in grease splatter, and food matter, the oven dirty inside and pot drawer greasy, covered in crumbs and we had to scrub a pan with fat and food debris still on it. We found plates with food on them ( from dishwasher) To then find the sponges supplied were obviously used. The dish brush was actually brown with grease. When we used the bin the door looked stained as we know can happen, but it wiped off. The coffee machine doesn't work properly and the coffee supplied was so old it needs tossing out. The hot chocolate tasted stale, it was a year out of date, as was a most items in the pantry supplied by the property. if you state you provide something my suggestion is make sure it's OK. and working and the pantry in date. The wood fire needs attention as it can't be shut down effectively, the timber virtually evaporated, it's a shame as we would have only needed a 3rd of the timber. We ran out There was the air conditioning but we booked for the ambience of what was on offer and we wanted a beautiful evening by the relaxing by the fire. Part of the timber steps coming off the veranda has rotted and coming away. An extra loo roll than needed just feels better. The cupboard its kept in needs a proper handle I couldn't open it. I had to shove my arm down from the top. We are well aware it's a bush block but the map indicates a nice short pathway walk to the creek, we found it so overgrown unvisible hazardous we couldn't see a path at all. It was dangerous and we couldn't tell it was a path even. State its steep scrub. I felt overpriced and no matter where I've stayed or how simple the accommodation I've never come across this. Things kept adding up. It felt overpriced and not cared for. The scratch map is clearly out of date. If you say you have it,offer it to a fair standard

Beautiful and tranquil spot with everything you could need

This is a really lovely spot. The house is open and airy; comfortable with perfectly understated decorative touches. I would 100% recommend for when you just need to get away from the city and experience tranquility for a while.
