The unit itself was fine, but when we checked in, 2 of the toilets didn’t work. Over the course of the next 2 days, the management company sent a maintenance person to the house, but she couldn’t fix it. Then a plumber came the next day and they still weren’t fixed. After 3 workers in our condo in 2 days, I just wanted to enjoy our stay, without constant workers in there, so I told them to forget it. This left all 6 of us using one bathroom, which was in my mother-in-laws room. Not ideal. Then, that night, the air conditioner in her room broke and it took another full day (and a hot night) of texting and calls with the management company to get someone out to fix it. In all, the unit was fine, but the constant fixing of the toilets and ac, which are basic amenities that I shouldn’t have to think twice about, ruined the vacation. Too bad - we love Hilton Head, but we spent half the trip trying to fix the condo.

Nautical Nook

Our stay was great! The condo was in great shape, very clean and up to date. The location was fantastic, just a 2 minute walk to the beach and only steps from the pool. The iTrip team was great with their communication throughout the whole trip. We would definitely stay here again!

Close to beach/pool/Dune house

Great place! Very updated and loved that they had lots of beach chairs and towels! Pool was so close and great-hardly anyone there-felt like we had our own pool! And the beach was super close and loved having the Dune House close by too! And fans for each room too. The only thing we had an issue with was getting day passes for family that came here for our daughter’s wedding. It should be easier to have guests come to your home you are renting. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Girls’ get away

Nautical Nook did not disappoint. We loved the location. You are literally steps away from the beach and have close access to a public restroom. The Villa was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this villa.!

We enjoyed a fun girls trip here!

We enjoyed a fun girls trip here! We have been friends for nearly 20 years - our boys were (and are still best) friends from 4th grade. They are almost 30 now. We spend a girls trip as moms reminiscing and laughing about our kids and our chat about aging parents and getting older our selves. We spent all days have out on the beach going out to eat and laughing on the huge couch at night. Beautiful place you have here, wish 3rd floor had better staircase and bathroom. But we enjoyed the condo and dunes house!

Palmetto Resort

We loved the condo! Every bed was comfortable and so were all the furnishings. The stairs were a little tricky since we had a 2 year old with us but we managed. The condo is beautiful and tastefully decorated. We do suggest fixing the kitchen drawers since they either want to fall out or get stuck and the cooking utensils could be updated. The new doors / windows are beautiful and the deck was great. Our code did not work for the pool but we had the beach. The trim in the master bedroom under the sliding door is not attached. I meant to write in your guest book but ran out of time.

Close to Beach & Comfy Couch

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here So when renting a place I always look for current/up to date furniture and location to beach. . This had both. We were able to gather as a family comfortable and watch Netflix with our 4 teenage daughters after great day at beach. There were puzzles we enjoyed completing over our 8 days on the island too during this stay. Very fun. Baths were nice and updated and bedding as well. The kitchen is not the best stocked one I have rented from --could use More coffee cups of the larger scale and would be nice some plastic cups, chip clips, ice cream scooper and all the drawers come off hinges when pulled out. Thanks for sharing your home!

Wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay! The location to the pool and beach cannot be beat. Everything was clean and as we expected with great communication. I'd stay again and recommend it! (As long as stairs ware doable for your group) Hilton Head was amazing as it alwaysvis!

Great place

We always try to stay in Palmetto Dunes but usually just need a two bedroom. Our family has grown so we needed more room. This place was perfect! Much closer walk to the beach. It was close to the General Store and the Dune House. We really enjoyed this place. I would not recommend this place for toddlers or small children because of steps and tri level though. We would definitely stay again!

Cute, Close and Comfortable

We enjoyed another year in Palmetto Dunes staying at Nautical Nook for the first time. The location to beach access and Dunes House made this a wonderful spot. No need to lug everything to the beach with you when you can walk back to grab a bite or refresh your drink in less than 5 minutes! The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off, couch was comfortable and large enough for all of us to sit on for a movie night. This villa is a great place for a family vacation! iTrip nor the owners can control this, but if you are a light sleeper, I would suggest an eye mask or ear plugs. The sun comes in early and a few days out of the week lawn crews are around at 7 am. Only doing their job so can’t complain about them. Overall, we loved the property, the location, the amenities and the communication and support we received from the iTrip team. Until next year!!

Overall was very good. The only thing is property is advertised as oceanfront. And the property is. The condo however was not. I felt that deceptive. We had a great time so we will write that off!!!

Perfect

Great Unit steps from the Beach and the Dunes House. We had 6 people stay in the Unit and there was plenty of room. The two Bedrooms on the first floor with attached Bathrooms, a laundry room and a small seating area were perfect. The second floor had plenty of room with a large Living room space, and a great table in the kitchen large enough for at least 8 people. The outdoor deck with a large seating area and a grill was perfect for a morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail. I would highly recommend this Unit.

We had a great girls trip stay here, it was a lovely and comfortable place. The two spiral staircases made for an interesting trip, the one to the 3rd floor was narrow and almost rickety, no bathroom on 3rd floor and no mirror, but other than those items, it was a great place to stay, we did not cook much there but kitchen was equipped but small. Couch was huge and comfy as was deck with many seats. We liked 3 bathrooms but would have loved one on 3rd floor for those middle of the night visits. Overall a nice place to stay near the ocean and a great location.

Very misleading

Property clean except windows filthy. Pictures on internet accurate except no mention all bedrooms in basement and spiral staircase to climb to get to living room. No way you could trust children to climb 18” spiral staircase to 3rd bedroom. Guests left to find other accommodations because they could not climb the narrow steep spiral staircase to the kitchen area. I’m not happy and intend to contact a VRBO manager. This was not the accommodations we expected and feel very misled

Perfect Location for Beach Fun

This was our first visit to Hilton Head and we loved it! We were very happy with the condo and all of the activities at the resort. It was the perfect location for spending time at the beach, especially with young children who needed to take time out for naps. The condo was spacious, clean, and organized with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony every morning with our coffee. Communication with the management was exceptional and check-in was seamless. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back again.

Almost Perfect

The house was just about perfect with one major exception. When we showered the first evening there was a hideous sulphur smell that filled the home. We later found out from mgmt that this was common - if hot water is not used for a period of time the bacteria in the water heater grows and emits a strong sulphur smell. We were instructed to run all the showers/hot water for at least 30 minutes to drain the water heater and let it refill. This resolved the issue, however, given this is a known problem, it should have been taken care of by property mgmt before we arrived. We not only had to deal with the odor for a few hours in the evening prior to going to bed, we also were concerned about the safety of the water overall. Plus, one of us needed to take time out of our stay to be in the villa the next day while water was running. Of course, this also meant once again needing to deal with the odor. Quite simply, guests should not be made to perform what is a maintenance task, nor should they be made to deal with the nastiness of the smell and stress over the quality of the water. It is extraordinary that a known problem was not troubleshot before our arrival. Had the hot water been run in the morning, the odor would have been detected, the heater drained, and the sulphur gas smell gone by the time we checked in. In addition, when we moved the fan located in the third floor to the first floor to help with removing the sulphur odor, we learned the fan did not work. Perfect.
