Bayside Retreat är ett stort, avskilt familjehus. Beläget vid Daniels Bay i södra delen av Bruny Island, ligger det bara 100 meter till Lunawanna brygga / båt ramp och nära stranden. Oavsett om du är en ivrig fiskare eller bara vill komma undan för en lugn helg, är Bayside Retreat perfekt för dig!

Bruny är en fantastisk ö för turnering - bara 5 minuters bilresa till Bruny Island Wines Grill, 10 minuter till den lokala puben eller kör norrut till de skyddade stränderna i Dennes Point och Killora.
Cape Bruny Lighthouse & Cloudy Bay ligger båda bara en kort bilresa från Lunawanna med fantastisk utsikt och surfing.

Det är en perfekt ö för promenader - promenera till Penguin Island från Adventure Bay och klättra längs havets vapen på Räfflad Kap. Ta slingan runt Labillardiere-halvön och picknick längs vägen. Ta en strandpromenad på en av öns många sträckor av ospårad sand.

Men försök inte se Bruny om en dag eller två - du skulle bli förvånad över hur många människor inte inser att Bruny Island är nästan 100 kilometer lång! Från toppen av Dennes Point i norr till Cape Bruny Lighthouse i söder förändras landskapen dramatiskt - skyddade sandstränder och jordbruksmarker i norr, höga skogar, öppna vikar och vilda kustlinjer i söder.

Det är en bra anledning att stanna några dagar - du behöver tid för att klättra upp till toppen av sandklumpen och titta ut över halsen; att titta ut på Södra havet från Cape Bruny. Att gå på den breda och vilda Cloudy Bay Beach. Att se Mt Wellington och den sovande skönheten över D'Entrecasteaux-kanalen från Dennes Point. Att observera sjöfåglar på grunt i Daniels Bay vid Lunawanna och ta en av världens bästa ekokryssningar från Adventure Bay.

Perfect family getaway

This was one of the best we have stayed in, everything we needed at our fingertips with beautiful views. The property was very clean and had all the comforts we needed!!! Very spacious with plenty of room for a big family.

Great family escape, perfect location to sit and relax, go fishing off Jetty or explore what Bruny Island has to offer. Highly recommended staying here.

Tassie trip

We stayed at Bayside Retreat for three nights in January. Clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms with three toilets, so no lining up required . Table tennis table is a bonus in the game room and we used it. Just be aware to stock up on supplies at Snug IGA as Bruny hasn't got any supermarkets. Thank you Amella.

near the beach, have to cross a road, no path down to beach

We enjoyed our stay; no wi-fi at property; went to the local pub about 10km away for meals and wi-fi. Loved the area and saw albino wallabies in the wild in the area near the property. Property comfortable.

Excellent location, 10 minute drive to great pub food, 5 minute drive to wine and cheese. Relaxing outlook over the bay. House was brilliant and well represented by pictures. All rooms very comfortable, all expected facilities provided. Great amount of space for families. Beds comfortable, bathrooms expansive. No Wi-Fi, but mobile reception good. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable and beautiful spot

Beautiful setting, absolutely tranquil and serene right by the water. Property easily accessible. House well set up and very clean and tidy. Lounge room small, and limited indoor dining space but large table outside on the balcony to accomodate meals for larger groups - under cover but just a bit cool depending on weather! Also no wifi unfortunately. Overall a great stay.

Great location/ view

Great location looking over the water. Table tennis a big plus for the kids and bedrooms/ bathrooms great. Sleep 2 families with ease. Living space a bit tight but you spend most time checking out Bruny so no issues. Need some more wine glasses & salad servers (easily fixed).

Great location and excellent facilities

The location was fabulous for exploring the entire island. Stunning views and a well appointed property made the stay very enjoyable. The house has everything we needed. The three bathrooms were an added bonus. We would highly recommend staying here and it will be our place of choice on return trips. Can’t wait to return.

Great Family Place to stay.

We had a great time over Easter staying here. Close to the water for the kids to have fun in after we got back from exploring other parts of Bruny. The house is as central as you can get to all touristy things, which kept driving to a minimum. The property itself is clean, tidy and has all the mod-cons of a new home. Fantastic heating as well which would make a winter stay very pleasurable and the beer fridge on the verandah keeps the drinks super cold :). Would advise to take a fishing rod as there is a quiet little jetty just down the road. The only thing missing is games and books for the kids for the quiet relax times - so if you have kids take stuff with you.You will also need your own water toys. Loved the place and would stay again...highly recommended.
