The Space:
The Dunes at Fitzroy Beach are perfectly located in a tourist hotspot, with a 2 min stroll to Fitzroy Beach, Golf Course and the famous Scenic Coastal Walkway or a 5 min walk to the heart of the vibrant Fitzroy Village. These modern beach tiny homes are fully equipped to ensure you have a comfortable stay in New Plymouth. Spend your day surfing and swimming and then relax in total comfort.

Beautifully appointed modern beach vibe, each unit has a king sized bed and fully equipped compact kitchen.

These tiny homes have AirCon heating and cooling, smart tv and dining tables that double as a workstation with USB charging. Double sofa bed in the lounge.

Each cabin has its own decked area to enjoy the sun with seating and bean bags to make the most of the space. The perfect place to base yourself while you explore everything our beautiful Region has to offer.

Each cabin is fully self contained with your own deck area but there is also a common BBQ area and guest laundry.

Remember to bring your sunblock, beach towels and your jandals. It doesn't get better than this. Book today and secure your peace of paradise.

Please note the cleaning fee: All linen & towels are provided by a commercial linen company and are professionally laundered. Properties have been cleaned prior to guests arrival to meet the Ministry of Health commercial cleaning standards. A part end of stay cleaning service is included. This covers the cleaning of bathrooms, mopping and rubbish removal. Guests are required to leave the property in a tidy and clean state all dishes are washed/the dishwasher loaded and turned on prior to departure.

All Bach Break properties come well equipped with cooking oil, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, milk, cleaning products, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, liquid hand soap and body wash.

Unclean

The duvet cover clearly needs a wash, and was not on the duvet inner. Pillow inners are old and stained. The dishes and glasses were very unclean. Dish towels made the dishes smell. Old cleaning rag in the utensils drawer.

It’s a contêiner type of place, so it can get hot, but they have air con. Very clean and it’s about 300 to the beach. I can imagine getting loud depending on the group of the other units.

Built by the owner with a lot of care and attention to detail, it was well equipped, comfortable and clean. A sun trap in the afternoon on the deck and efficient aircon inside.

Quality Get away in the Taranaki

No Frills

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A no frills spot to stay near the beach and cycle path at Fitzroy Beach. A small unit with most things you need for a short stay in New Plymouth. There are four of these unit on a small block near the beach. Luckily we were the only ones staying as it would be very busy and not private if it was full. The unit took a long time to cool down on the sunny day we arrived even with the air con on full. For us it was fine as we didn't spend much time at home.Regards Geoff

Cabin with a good walk to the beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is a cabin rather than a unit. It's a little bigger than the standard hotel room with a tiny kitchen. The beach pictures are misleading and come from much further down the beach. There is a good 10 min walk to the beach from the cabin. The view is of a massive house in front of this cabin so if you are expecting to see or hear the beach you'd be mistake. The shower wasn't that clean when I arrived with sand still in the bottom of it in the corners. There is much better properties in New Plymouth for the same money.

Fabulous little unit - one of four - just a minute walk down to the beach. You can hear the sea from the deck. Fab location - diary at the corner - some great shops in Fitzroy Village - great wine bar! Comfy bed and great shower - thank you
