Great house -Plenty of space for the five of us with room for more. Nice touches like host providing cooler for beach, umbrellas for rain. Clean and comfortable. Easy walk to Usher park, about 15 minute walk to village. Wish we had more days there but always great to be at the lake.

Great family retreat locale

This is a great place for a family stay. The "dorm room" is separate from the rest of the house, making it perfect for group with two relationships (parents/couples and bunch of kids). We were a group attending business conference nearby, less ideal for business associates. Highly recommend for location, cleanliness and ease of access.

This was a great property for our family. It was spacious enough that we weren’t on top of each other… but has such a cozy feel! The convenience of how close it is to town and the beach was also great!

THE AIR CONDITIONER IN BUNK ROOM WAS NOT GETTING ROOM COLD. WE COULD NOT SIT IN ROOM WHERE YOU ENTER IT HAD NO AIR CONDITIONER. KITCHEN CABINET AND 3 DRAWS WERE FALLING OFF AND HANGING. CEREAL WAS UNDER THE COUCH. CLEANING SERVICE IS HORRIBLE BEDS WERRE MESSY WHEN WE WALKED IN. BBQ GRILL DIRTY AND VERY RUSTED. APPLIANCES NEED TO BE UP DATED. THE GRASS WAS NOT CUT. ALL AND ALL WE HAD A GREAT TIME BUT VERY DISAPPOINTED. i DID TAKE PICTURES BUT CAN NOT UPLOAD AT THIS TIME. WE JUST FELT BBQ GRILL SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE USED AND CABINETS COULD HAVE BEEN FIXED. SHE DID TELL US DISHWASHER WAS BROKE. THE HOST WAS VERY NICE, FRIENDLY AND PROMPT BUT HOUSE NEEDS SOME CARE AND CLEANING. I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHY WE PAY CLEANING FEE....

House for family with kids

Awesome stay!!

Stayed with family for couple of days and we really enjoyed it. Janell was always very quick in responding. The instructions were very detailed and helpful. The house is located just 5 min walk from million dollar beach. Overall very good experience.

Beautiful Spot, Like Home Details

Our stay was great. This home has so many small home like supplies that made our weekend that much smoother. Owner was very quick to reply to messages. Fire pit and grill are two great bonuses as well. A beautiful location, would definitely stay here again when I return to the area

Cozy

Overall the property is very nice. The great room and electric fireplace are awesome and all rooms very clean and fresh. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen has most everything you need, just needs a little updating, except for appliances, they are new and very nice. The bedrooms and bathroom need privacy shades. Other than these minor details, the cottage is great and is in a perfect location.

Easy location

Owner helpful with messages and guest portfolio. Maintenance not what we expected. It’s a camp. Beds are not good if you have any back issues. Had basics.

Weekend Away

Absolutely perfect home for a family with little kids. Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of beds! Great location to the lake beach and shopping/food! Definitely coming back again next year! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Perfect for a quiet getaway

My friends and I had a great time here. The place was amazing, the pictures don't do it justice. I would definitely come back in nicer weather to take advantage of the grills and firepit in the back yard.

Cozy home near Lake George Village

We had a good experience and appreciated Janell’s flexibility. Due to a major winter storm, we reached out last minute and we’re able to go up the day before for a nominal fee for the extra night. Unfortunately, the checkin process was a bit bumpy because the incorrect street number and lockbox codes were provided for her house next door. Once we straightened that out and got into our house, all was good. As far as amenities, the only thing we would suggest is additional flatware and serving bowls for the kitchen. Other than that, it would have been cozy if the gas fireplace was working. All in all, we had a good comfortable stay!

Hello! I am a busy mom of two young boys. I grew up in beautiful Lake George and recently purchased a property there in hopes of hosting others who will enjoy a fantastic summer vacation. I spend most of my time with family enjoying a walk or hike. I enjoy landscape photography, cooking, and gardening. I hope one day to retire and travel when our kids are older. For now, we hope to host others hoping to get away and enjoy a getaway in beautiful Lake George.
