Scenic, Beech Cabin

Absolutely loved staying in the downstairs section of this beautiful cabin! The layout, decor, and amenities were all above and beyond. Very scenic area with tons of wildlife! Location is very close to one of the ski lifts and only a short drive to Banner Elk. Our hosts provided all the information we needed and were excellent communicators! Highly recommend!!

Luxury Beech Retreat

We trac extensively and have stayed in many short term rentals. This cabin exceeded all expectations, from the well appointed full kitchen and nice cooking tools and utensils, to the almost daily deer feeding, to the luxurious bath robes and sauna. These owners were so kind and helpful, and we would recommend to anyone. Easy drive to slopes and Beech restaurants. The interior of this place was thoughtfully and carefully designed and is more cozy than the pictures can express. You will love it!

Perfect place to stay if skiiing on Beech Mountain

This was such a cozy place for us to come back to after skiing all day! Would 10/10 recommend for a couple’s ski retreat. House was well furnished and had all the amenities we needed. Would stay here again if going back to Beech!

Loved being only 5 minutes to the slopes. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive if it is snowy or icy.

Loved the deer visiting daily, close to slopes. Clean and comfortable. The hosts were very nice too!

Anniversary get away

The cabin we stayed at was exactly as described but even better in person. Beautifully decorated, very clean and extremely comfortable. Our hosts were great and checked with us to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Not one detail was overlooked. Would highly recommend this place and would definitely consider staying there again.

The view of the mountain range was amazing. The cabin was so cute yet high end. It had everything we needed. The location could not have been better. Deer every day, Beech mountain activities, and great hosts.

Cozy and Comfortable

We loved our time over the MLK weekend in this unit - cozy and comfortable - perfect for a small family of 3. The hosts were available for us during the snow storm - they had the driveway plowed for us to keep us safe - suggestions on activates and food dinner suggestions to taste the local flavor!

Views were amazing. Property comes fully equipped with everything you would need. Owners live above property so you feel safe. Don’t skip feeding the deer, they walk right up to you (and feed is also provided).

Luxurious Accommodations !

We felt we had more of a luxury hotel experience instead of an overnight stay. Bill greeted us and was great at showing us around the apartment. He is an amazing host! Though not expected, we had the opportunity to visit with Bill and Lyn on their amazing deck and tour their truly unique log home. Each morning we enjoyed coffee (supplied by host) on the private deck and sipped cocktails to amazing sunsets. The accommodations are by far the most impressive we have ever stayed in...such an eye for decor and detail! The soft robes were such a nice bonus. Thanks Bill and Lyn for allowing us to rent this amazing place!

Everything you need!

This one bdrm downstairs unit was perfect for our couples get away. High end amenities await in this well maintained rental. The owners thought of everything! Very well stocked kitchen and bathroom. Nice, comfy sofa w/ gas fireplace in the living room. A 4 poster queen bed w/ comfy bedding. A lovely deck with gas firepit and ample seating. Exactly as pictured! The hosts gave us an overview of the property upon check-in and offered us several options for dining. They were easy to communicate with and very accommodating throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this unit for your next mountain escape!

Summer getaway

Needed a place to stay for hiking and to spend time with my adult son who lives in Durham. This place was perfect! The host, Bill and Lyn are great. Very clean and super user friendly with a lot of attention to detail. Smart TV, regular and Keurig coffee makers, very large outdoor deck with grill and comfortable chairs. Spent the day hiking and evening grilling on the deck with a bottle of wine. Checks all my boxes!

A Snow White Cabin!

This cabin was so much more than expected. I went with a couple of friends for a weekend of skiing and it was absolutely perfect! As informed by the WONDERFUL hosts, the deer greeted us on our very late arrival. They were a real treat all wknd. The outside seating provides such an amazing view above the clouds in the morning. I can’t say enough about the hospitality and communication of the Bill and Lyn. Their communication was something I have never experienced from a host. As hosts, they were very considerate and committed to our comfort and safety! They went above and beyond to make sure directions to the cabin were very clear and that checking in was a smooth process. Seriously—hands down the best hosts I’ve ever experienced! If you are looking for a wknd in the snow, or a wknd of reading by a fire, this is your place!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway for Two

This apartment attached to the owners home felt more like cabin. It is beautifully decorated with high end furnishings and decor, and well supplied and equiped. The bed and furniture are very comfortable. Very nice deck, however, there's not a view of the mountains from the deck. You can see the beautiful colors in the sky at sunset above the trees. There is an upper deck wirh amazing mountain views that the owners, Bill and Lyn, said we could use even if they were home. Bill and Lynn were kind enough to provide corn to feed the many deer that are around. They come to an opening beside the lower deck and they will even eat out of your hand. This is a great place to rest and relax, or to enjoy the activities and restaurants in the surrounding area. The only negative for us was the steps to get down to the cabin. We were aware of them prior to reserving this. We are in our 70's and they were alittle too much for us. We realized how out of shape we really are. Otherwise, we highly recommend this beautiful getaway.
