Please note: This property is in a quiet residential community and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule of 1 strike. Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down, and NO parties:) Maximum capacity at all times is 8 guests. We allow up to 1 pet with an additional $25 pet fee per day.
This home is located directly across from our public works department. These gentleman do an excellent job of maintaining our island. They do start early in the morning and you may hear them outside. There are noise machines located in each room, to help our lighter sleepers. This beautiful and inviting home has everything you need for the perfect Folly Beach vacation. Owners left no detail undone. Once you park your cars, you will not need them again to access the beach, restaurants, bars, shops and Bert's market. Located across the street from the community tennis courts, basketball courts and pirate playground...perfect location for families of all ages. The home is also equipped with a foosball table in the outdoor cabana and Tiki Toss hook and ring game on the screened porch. Plenty of room for guests to spread out and enjoy some private/quiet time or gather together and play games! Smart TV"s in all bedrooms along with cable hook up. Commercial quality modern kitchen with every essential needed to whip up a gourmet meal...just bring the ingredients. Stop by Crosby's ( our local seafood provider) and pick up some fresh fish, shrimp and crabs. Crab pot provided. Outdoor gas grill. Heading out for a special evening? There are 2 lighted makeup mirrors and 2 hair dryers. On vacation but still need to accomplish a few work tasks? There's a designated work space in master bedroom complete with a monitor. This is a luxury home and one you will want to return to time and time again!

Graduation vacation

Was even nicer than online pics. Had every little thing we needed. Easy walk to beach and downtown. Listing accurately described location across from public works so we knew what to expect. Would definitely stay again.

Great Family Stay

The house was great for our family! It was a 4 minute walk to the beach and the bikes were great for my teens who wanted to go into town often. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and the decor of the house was homey and inviting. We took our family dog and it was wonderful to have a fenced in front and back yard. The only suggestion I’d give-exchange a queen for a king bed in one of the rooms. Overall, 5 star review.

Great getaway

Follitude was perfect for our family of four. Short walk or golf cart ride to the beach and to anything else off Center St. The kitchen is so great to cook in and the bedrooms were so comfortable! Definitely will be booking again!

What a great house!!

We had a great stay! On the first night we had an issue with the hot water but the communication was great with property management. The kitchen was top notch!! Location was awesome! You can hear the waves as soon as you step outside! Definitely recommend booking this beach house!

The house was clean and homey, the kitchen was amazing and well equipped, beds were comfy and the house was just a short walk to the beach. There was everything available for fun at the beach, bikes, boogie boards, surf boards etc. had a lovely stay.

Great Cottage

This beach bungalow was perfect for us. We loved the proximity to the dog park and playground. The outdoor space was beautiful and we enjoyed it. The kitchen was modern and everything was just great.

Great Home

This cottage was perfect for my adult son, me, and his dog for 3 nights. It is in a great location, quick walk to the beach, 15 minute walk to town, and a dog park across the street. The house was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet (we didn't hear the city trucks from across the street) and safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Excellent stay!

We all had a most enjoyable time at the house. Property manager was very helpful with our split arrival times and one of the owners made his golf cart available. The house was very well equipped in every respect and a pleasure to enjoy.

An absolutely PERFECT week!

We can’t describe how perfect this house was for our family! Every detail made our stay comfortable and enjoyable and the location was great! Some cute surprises too- after dark check out the little glow in the dark pebbles in the backyard path 😌. We loved being able to use your beach equipment, playing darts and our teens on the porch at night and sitting on the front porch in the morning. Thank you for a memorable and amazing week!

Cozy beach cottage close to the beach

Overall enjoyed our stay, house was even better than pictures! Loved attention to detail and well stocked kitchen! Great location overall except being in front of a trash/water for the city. They were starting early, like 6.30 am but we were all up by then! Porch is great for relaxing after day at the beach with a jungle feel to it. Would definitely recommend to families with little kids, not many areas were “dangerous” with no child proofing

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We did a last minute long weekend trip and had a lovely time. The house is clean and perfectly stocked. We had planned to go out for dinner every night, but after seeing the kitchen we opted to stay in and cook. The front porch was so nice for relaxing during the day. Some people noted the public works across the street. We’re all light sleepers and it didn’t bother us. We didn’t hear much inside the house even though trucks were coming and going during our stay. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return again soon!

Outstanding time at Folly Beach

My family of 6 just got back from FB and had an outstanding trip. And a big reason for it was this VRBO rental. It was really cool with a great kitchen, a step down living room, and very nice front and back (the back is screened in) porches. The house was clean and it was only a 5 minute or so walk to one of the beach access walk thru's. The only negative (and I was aware prior to the booking) is the FB municipal dept is right across the street. But so are a dog park, tennis courts and pickel ball courts. This didn't bother us at all. I'd highly recommend this rental to anyone and we will stay here again in the future.

Perfect family getaway !

Our family of 7 really enjoyed the stay at this property. It was equipped well and the location was ideal for us. The walk to the beach was about 5 minutes and into the center of town about 10-15 minutes, shorter on the bikes. The fenced in yard was great for our 2 pets. We were disappointed that the dogs could not be on the beach with us during the day but we were close enough to go back and let them romp a bit in the yard several times during the day. Also there is a Dog Park across the street that we took them to. We cooked in one night and had everything we needed to prepare our meal. We definitely look forward to a repeat visit.

Cute house but location not so good

Cute house with a fantastic kitchen and screened in back porch but it’s literally across from Public works and you are woken up every morning by garbage trucks outside your front door at 6 am. Also there was mold in shower and outside furniture unusable as under leaves and sitting in leaves. Bikes were thrown up against a tree in the backyard. Needs some TLC.

Best Beach Vibe!! Great House.

The decor in this house is a beachy dream! The layout is perfect, very comfortable. Amazing kitchen with everything you need as far as pots, pans, utensils, plates and serving. The screened porch was a great feature and we hung out there most nights. We were never woken by the garbage trucks, you are much more likely to hear the pickle ball players but it was never too early. The one and only negative I will share in case a reader has sensitivity is there is a musty smell that can take over if the AC isn’t on and in one of the cabinets it is particularly strong, but since this is a southern climate with a beach on one side and marsh on the other that can be hard to not have that. This really was a charming home, you will be comfortable here!

Great week in Follitude!

The house was adorable and fully stocked with everything to meet our needs plus some! The only issue we had was that we had adult children and the third bedroom had bunks but the top bunk was so close to the ceiling our son took over the living room couch to sleep. He was fine with it and the couch was comfortable for him luckily but just know that the top bunk is meant for a child and not an adult. We have nothing negative to say and the host was fabulous and responsive. Loved the electric car/golf cart that we were able to purchase for the week with the house. Made getting around the island so much much nicer. Also appreciated all the games for the beach, beach chairs, and other additional beach amenities. Would not hesitate to come back again. Used Michael Ray for the boat ride and highly recommend as well. He was awesome!

GBA (great basset adventure ) 6

This is our 3rd trip to Folly with our Basset Hounds, Basil and Fred, and we can say without reservation, this was the best. The Follitude House was extremely comfortable and very Basset friendly and with a fenced front and backyard, the boys enjoyed their stay immensely. Short walk to the beach meant extra time running around without being too tired to walk home on short legs. For the humans, the kitchen was nice to cook in and had almost everything you would need. A steamer would have been nice and I do recommend if you are a serious cook, like my wife and I are, bring your own knives, dull knives scare me. Loved the dedicated freezer and refrigerator. The beds were perfect and I would love to find pillows just like the ones on the beds, they were devine. The shower in the hall was wonderful for a soak and having the dual shower heads made it even more of a pleasure. The only downsides, and the reason for the 4 stars on cleaning is that the oven needed a cleaning and the grill was a mess, I actually cleaned it the next day with a good scrubbing. Also it will be nice when the owners get the fireplace working on the back screened porch, on a chilly night it would have been nice to have. Communication with the owner, Dianne Ray was answered promptly. Overall a wonderful experience. Folitude is on the top of our list for our next Great Basset Adventure to Folly Beach.
