Charlevoix Weekend

We loved our weekend in Charlevoix, it's one of our favorite northern cities. We chose this condo because it had a great location for a great price. Other reviewers said "clean but dated", I think that's spot on. We loved having a kitchenette and a screened in porch, the bed was very clean and comfortable. The condo is also very spacious and it was very quiet. You would never know other people were staying there. The best part was the location. We could walk to the light house and the water, and to all of our favorite restaurants.

Great Vacation Condo

Great Location but not much else

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location could not have been better. That was the only plus. The furnishings were shabby and dated. Shower was small and difficult to regulate temperature. Overall, I felt the property was overpriced for its condition. Would look at other options were I to visit the area again.

The location was great. Unfortunately, the facility's age was apparent. While clean and neat, it was quite apparent that some maintenence and a facelift are needed.

Great location, but overpriced for what you get.

Weird floorplan with jacuzzi in bedroom/bathroom. Use it and the bedroom becomes a sauna. TV was lousy...they use free internet service rather than paying for cable. No cleaning services provided. Old furniture. Would expect better for price paid. We were there to run marathon, so loved that start line was just outside our unit. Overall, not a terrible place to stay, but it's definitely overpriced for what you get.

Great Location

The condo itself was small but comfortable and quite clean, with everything we needed. There were a few dated light fixtures, and the TVs were tiny. The jacuzzi tub was also nice but the hot water heater wasn't quite large enough.

Room 106

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This room needs to be updated to be expected to be charged the same price or close to the other rooms. Having the bathroom not closed off from the bedroom is ridiculous. Every other room we went into was closed off. When you go to sit on the toilet it moves which wasn't good. When I called to see if there was a blow dryer they said yes but there wasn't one. Very disappointing. One of the lights next to the bed would go on and off which means there is a wiring problem. When we arrived the bathroom floor was sticky. The women at the front desk; who was nice came to reclean the floor. Bottom line it needs a lot of work. I would not recommend room 106 to anyone I know. The other rooms were very nice so I would recommend they stay in any other room. The front desk was very nice.

Charlevoix stay

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was not pleased. Place is dated, needs updating. Carpet is old, spots all over, sofa old. Living room tv not clear, no remote for A/C in bedroom, room was warm, uncomfortable sleeping. Management didn’t have a backup. Had to replace batteries in bedroom remote, channels wouldn’t change. No plastic bags for dirty clothes like most hotels. Because of COVID no room service which I understood. Booked 7 nights, got my work done in 6 days, wouldn’t credit me back one night so stayed. I booked 8 nights for my Sister in the summer, spent over 3 grand, not happy that they wouldn’t credit one night after paying you 4 grand. Won’t come back.
