The Grange on Hermitage Road has always been a much-loved haven for guests visiting the Hunter due to its outstanding location, park-like 28-acre grounds, as well as its well-appointed and spacious cottages and guest suites.

Located on Pokolbin’s prominent Hermitage Road, The Grange is central to the best experiences the Hunter has on offer. The Peppertree Cottage is an elegant and comfortable self-contained accommodation featuring two luxurious king bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms (one with spa bath), perfect for up to 4 guests. This light drenched cottage is fully air conditioned and features high vaulted ceilings and open plan interiors, an equipped kitchen (no oven) with Nespresso machine, dining and living room with TV, gas fireplace, deck and BBQ.

With the 10.6-kilometre cycle path right outside the front gate, guests will be spoilt for choice with things to do. Guests can walk or bike the path and discover a trail of well-known wineries, breweries, and cellar doors such as Keith Tulloch, Piggs Peake, Botanica, Muse Kitchen, Yellow Billy, The Farm and Brewhouse. Why not stroll to Hermitage Road Antiques and browse unique souvenirs and collectables? Music lovers will also appreciate Rover Coaches’ pick-up point from the front door to take them to any of the major concert venues, and guests visiting for that special celebration will love being so close to Enzo Weddings.

Guests will also receive a complimentary bottle of Hunter Valley Wine and Olive Oil on arrival.

The Peppertree Cottage is a full disabled-access property with wheelchair access via a ramp.

Please note: This property was previously a Bed & Breakfast offering breakfast. Only bookings that were confirmed prior to 4 August 2021 will receive breakfast provisions. The property is now fully self-contained with no breakfast provided for new bookings made, new guests are welcome to bring their own provisions for breakfast. For all bookings, tea, coffee, milk, salt, and pepper are provided.

TARIFF
Weekend - 2 night minimum up to 4 guests, $506 per night (Thu-Fri or Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun)
Midweek - 2 night minimum up to 4 guests, $380 per night (Mon-Thurs)
Infants under 2 are free.

Please note that a $40 booking fee is applicable for all bookings made.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit/bond of $300 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES ‹
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Excellent property and location

Our stay over New Years was perfect. The property is isolated enough for some peace and quiet, yet still close enough to everywhere you'd want to go - or not go - as sitting around and watching the native wildlife is also a good way to spend your time.
