Great Stay for Robotics!

This was a wonderful place to stay for our elementary/MS robotics teams! We were here to compete in the VEX IQ State tournament and this place was a great place to relax, bond, and play games together after long days of competition. The beds were comfortable, rooms very clean, and kitchen well stocked to do some cooking. This helped us save a lot of money on hotel and restaurant costs! We hope to stay again next year!

Nice Home

The house is conveniently located to the highway and grocery shopping near by. We were there for a family wedding and the home was perfect for getting everyone ready and off to the venue. Home is well equipped for meals and family gatherings with multiple seating options. Rooms are super spacious and distance enough that families can have privacy. Perfect for our family.

We traveled in from 4 cities for a family wedding, and planned an extended vacation since all our adult children would be together.The location was great-- right on the water. We took small excursions to shop and hike, and over-all, each family had room for naps, play, and relaxation.

Nice home!

Really nice home. Updated inside. Plenty of room for 10. Amazing view right on the water. Great time fishing right off the back of the property. Walked to Jerry’s pub. Grocery store 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay here again.

Short getaway

This was a nice place to stay without the crowded busy-ness. We stayed for 3 nights. It was a great location to venture out for the day (Sterling Park, Greenfield Village, Imagination Station, River Raisin Battlefield), then come home to cook dinner and relax. The back porch had a lovely view, with plenty of room for the kids to play. There are cinder block stairs that take you down to a spacious cemented area to get a closer view of the lake. The property and house exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a great stay!!

Perfect mini reunion house

Property was perfect for a small family reunion. Four families, 13 people, ages 7-70 had plenty of room and plenty to do here. The property has ample bedding, towels, and a well appointed kitchen so sleeping and cooking were easy. Anything we needed was at the grocery 5 minutes away. The yard is large enough that we could play badminton, cornhole, and croquet all at the same time while others played dominoes on the outdoor patio. All of this with the beautiful backdrop of Lake Erie in the background. While there we went to the nearby state park to swim, visited the historic battleground, had soft serve, went out to dinner in downtown Monroe, went to the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, and even drove over to Windsor for a day. Would stay there again if we return to the area!

Nice, spacious home

Clean home with large bedrooms and updated kitchen. Has a lovely lakefront view and nice back porch and fire pit. There is not access for swimming as there is a 6’ concrete wall where the lake meets the backyard. But a short walk down the road has a large park with Sandy beach.

Labor Day Family Get-Away

The house was very nice and roomy. Nice updates throughout. The house is located in the Woodland Beach area and was set in a well established neighborhood. Views from the house were beautiful as was sitting on the outside porch. We were unable to access the lake from the property but the association beach and park were about a 5 minute walk away. The property manager was easy to work with, gave good information about the property and quick responses to questions.

Nice place

The house is beautiful. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. The main living areas are spacious and comfortable. We were under the impression from the photos that we would be able to get into the water at the front of the property. That’s not possible with a 6’ sea wall. There is a beach within walking distance but there is no public parking so it would be hard to haul everything down on foot. The water is only about 2 ft deep at the front by the sea wall. It looks much deeper. While we were staying in early August there was a toxic algae bloom in Lake Erie so we couldn’t go into the water anyway. In order to have a fire in the fire pit we need to clean it out from previous trash burning and the area around the yard needed TLC. (Bring your own wood.) We did clean some of it up because that’s the kind of people we are and we like things to look nice. In the profile picture, It looked like there was a gas grill on the front porch to use, but there was only a charcoal grill. We thought the refrigerator in the lake side porch would be useful for beverages but the sign said not to use it, so we kept the cooler out there for drinks. The kitchen has almost everything you’d need to cook, nice dishes, silverware, gadgets, but no pop can opener. A larger stock pot and sauce pan would be handy. The bedrooms upstairs have window air conditioners because the household unit can’t push the cool air up when it’s warm out. It was comfortable sleeping even when the temps were in the mid 70’s at night. The view of the lake is very pretty. Bring lounge chairs if you want to recline by the water. We had a wonderful week with family and really appreciated that Hanna, our host was quick to reply to any inquiries we had while we were there.

The owner didn’t care to mention how you couldn’t get in the water due to Algae. There was no beach in back of house. Couldn’t fish.

An Amazing Retreat House

This house was the perfect place for our writing retreat. Located right on Lake Erie, the house was spacious and clean. Lots of space for us to work. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms (3 of them!) were well stocked with essentials including plenty of towels. Nice to have a washer/dryer too. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and group meals. But most importantly, the back porch with the view of the lake were heavenly. The weather was just right to sit back, write, and relax. We were even lucky to view a strawberry supermoon rise over the lake. Definitely memorable! Additionally, there is plenty of parking space and the neighborhood is quiet, tucked away from everything. Lots of privacy. Kroger was easily accessible (5 minute drive). Hannah was a wonderful host. She texted us the morning of our arrival with house information. And when one of forgot a few items, she was kind enough to mail them back. Overall, we had an amazing experience and hope the house is available next summer so we can return.

Family Reunion

House is very nice and clean. Disappointed that there is a step between the front of the house: living room/kitchen areas and the back of the house: bathroom/bedroom/deck. This was a problem for grandma who uses a walker and needed assistance to access the first floor. The photos lead you to believe there is a beach on the property but it is at the park three blocks away with no parking for renters. This made it difficult for having grandma see family if we wanted to go to the park or the beach because we had to then drive the car back to the rental after dropping her off, then go get it again when we were leaving the park/beach to pick up grandma. The lake view is beautiful but no water access on the property which meant using the kayaks was not really an option to take to the beach three blocks away. Bring your own lifejackets if you want to use the kayaks as there were none at the rental.
