Beautiful Lake House

Our family stayed at this beautiful property this past weekend and we loved it. The house was big and had plenty of space for the family to gather and visit, and the lake was easily accesible. The views were beautiful too. The host was very friendly and communication was easy.I highly recommend staying at this wonderful property.

Great Lake House

This house was clean, organized, and had everything we needed for our long weekend. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and taking the kayaks out to the island. We would definitely stay again.

Great place and setting

Excellent gathering spaces with plenty of room in the kitchen, living room, dining area and outside with tons of seating and multiple tables Very comfortable for a larger group! Super clean, nice bedding, great bathrooms -- everything you need.

Beautiful views

There is plenty of room at this property and beautiful views however one of the things I look for when renting a property is a pool table as our group loves to play pool and the pool table should be replaced as it is not stable you can push it with one finger and it wobble so we did not use it for fear it would collapse to the floor. If it had not been for this I would have given five stars in all categories

Family lake trip

We chose this beautiful property for our annual family lake trip. Roomy house with excellent lake access perfect for swimming, kayaking, boating and swimming. The sunsets from the back porch were amazing!

Highly recommend

This very large house and location is beautiful! Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need. Pool table, kayaks, lake, and games of all kinds. I would 10/10 recommend this home!

Great stay!

This is really a wonderful property and better than the pictures. We had 10 people here of all ages and didn’t feel on top of each other. The access to the lake was really easy and beautiful with the sun setting off the back porch. I’d highly recommend it!

A Beautiful view!

My friends and family stayed here for a church retreat and it was absolutely perfect! It was clean and had enough room for everyone. The view has beautiful and we had so much fun kayaking on the lake. The house was very well stocked with everything you could need for a great trip. Will definitely be visiting again!

Best Vacation Stay for Families!

This property is amazing! We never had any problems, everything was provided, and it really did feel like a second home. We had 5-7 kids there at all times ranging from 4yrs up to 21, and no one felt cramped. The property is very well-maintained and we loved every minute of our stay! We will be booking here again for sure!!!

Best place ever for families with children

This place was incredible! Perfect fit for our family. Beautiful home and hosts have thoughtfully furnished the home. The little touches of guest amenities address any need that may arise - think adult and children’s books, flyswatters, gift bag, toys, outdoor play areas - too many to list! The swimming area, fire pit, beautiful deck and hot tub were all fabulous. The kitchen, dining, and living area are so spacious as are the bedrooms and bathrooms. We loved our stay!

Canceled an hour before check in time

We were in our way to the property loaded with our family and the boat on the day of check in and arrival was at 4:00. I received an email at 2:34pm cancelling our trip. We called and absolutely no help from the host. We had to turn around and come home!

Everything you need

The home had everything you could possibly need. Even decorated with a Christmas tree to put our presents under. They were very easy to work with. Our family of 11 had a great time and would definitely rent again!

4th of July Lake Vacation

We all had a great time, thank you - all generations - the home was equipped with almost everything you need to cook a meal. They thought of everything. Although the house is maintained well, but it could use some updating.

Perfect home away from home

The house was perfect for our big family of 15 with age ranging from 2 to 80! We booked this last minute and it had everything that we needed. The kitchen was equipped with ALL of the essentials for us to cook. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The pool table was a big hit for the teenagers and adults. If you have little ones, they will just love it here. It had a little kids table and chairs for 4 and so many kids toys!!! The sunset reviews were on point…it’s beautiful!!! The 2 kayaks and paddleboard was fun for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay here and had plenty of things to do to entertain everyone.

Awesome family vacation spot

We had our before school opening vacation gathering of 4 families in this place. It was very well organized and had everything need for us to have pleasant and seamless stay. Well equipped with gaming options for little kids -toys , young kids - box games, pool table. Kitchen had everything needed for cooking for big group. Kayak and life jackets were definitely useful for hot summer day to go around the bay. House was clean and had clear instructions. Overall an awesome experience, we would definitely plan to visit this place again

Amazing home with everything you need

This house has everything you could possibly want. There are games for family game nights, toys for toddlers, comfortable beds for everyone, a grill, lots of kitchen supplies, outdoor play structure, plus two kayaks and a paddle board! And to top it off, a beautiful lake view and access to Lake Palestine! There was something for everyone in our 3 generation family! We have stayed at several nice spots on Lake Palestine, but this one is by far the best! Paul and Sheri are gracious hosts, thank you! See you next summer!

Golf getaway

The description & photos were accurate, & the home is well maintained & immaculate. The location was perfect for our East Texas golf getaway, & the views of the lake from the property is beautiful. We loved the fire pit & the hot tub. The hosts were very welcoming, leaving a card & bag of goodies. The kitchen is well stocked & the bathrooms were complete with toiletries & hair dryer. The beds were very comfy. Only one negative & it’s fairly minor. There are 3 tv’s & all use a Roku with few channel choices. It was a very relaxing, enjoyable stay at Sunset Shores.

Birthday Trip

This place will not disappoint!!! We love this place and will definitely be coming back!!! So much to do here….fishing, kayak’s, paddle boarding, swimming, pool table, corn hole, very large deck, plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have fun! House is very roomy and very nice. Everything was clean and we didn’t need anything. Very accommodating landlord and easy to work with! We came with our 3 grown kids and their spouses, to celebrate our twin girls 23rd birthday. Everyone had an awesome time and we will be coming back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!

Great Place Plenty of Room To Spread Out and Great Views

Came cause we were doing a golf trip but wanted to stay on the lake. This house was awesome! its huge and had plenty of room to spread out in the house! There was 8 men at the house and none of us ever felt cramped. The deck is huge too with 3 different level. The grass all the way to the lake is perfect and then you have the dock with kayaks for use which is an added bonus! The best part though is the view at sunset. The sun sets directly behind the house in summer and its stunning! The owners are very involved and attentive to any needs! It was one of my best VRBO experiences ever. Highly Recommended

Family Perfect!!!

This weekend was a family experience of in-laws, brother/sister-in-law-laws, cousins, daughters, sons and children. We found your home to be amazing! The small children cups, dishes, chairs, tables was so unexpected. The openness of the house, the ability to have 15 people and still feel like you had space for yourself was to say the least….relaxing! We played in the lake, we kayaked, paddled-boarded, fished, grilled soaked up the sunset, enjoyed the mornings, loved the view of the lake, fished off the dock, played “a lot of pool”, grilled, and just had the best of times! The basket of kid toys….OMG!!!!…the biggest surprise! We loved this place and hope to be able to visit it again. For future travelers, ENJOY!……but not so much we can’t book it for ourselves!

Fantastic place!

We loved this place!! This was our first time staying at the house. We are a group of 8 men who go golfing in East Texas every year. We typically stay at another place but chose to mix it up this year. And boy, did we make certainly make the right choice. The house was big enough for all 8 of us to be comfortable and if we chose we could have gone to separate rooms to get get some peace and quiet we could have. The back deck is the star of the place though as we spent most of our time out there, grilling, talking, and enjoying the outdoors. As far as sleeping arrangements went, with 5 rooms and plenty of beds there was enough space for all of us. The beds were comfy and we had lots of towels and such. Everything was clean, neat, and the owners even left us a welcome bag with goodies in it. Very nice touch. Communication was spot on as well. As you can tell we really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!!
