Pebbleton, Retro Riverside Cottage, Tamar Valley

‘Pebbleton’ is a charming 1940’s cottage, nestled in the heart of the renowned Tamar Valley wine region, in Northern Tasmania. The interior is warm and homely, furnished with retro curiosities and modern decor, to ensure you have a relaxed and comfortable stay.

It’s a lovely place to spend time with loved ones (or a space to unwind for one!), enjoying a glass of local wine on the front porch overlooking the Tamar River, before retreating to the gorgeous indoor fireplace once the sun goes down.

Pebbleton is a 2 bedroom cottage, accommodating up to 4 guests. Bedroom 1 contains a king bed, and bedroom 2 a double bed. Quality bedding and mattresses are used throughout, for a good night's sleep. In addition, there is a rumpus / office space where you can read a book, play board games, or get some work done.

The kitchen contains all the modern conveniences you need to cook a delicious meal, and even has an original wood-fired bread oven if you feel adventurous! You'll find a Nespresso-compatible coffee machine, as well as pantry basics.

The dining area is perfect for 4 guests, alongside the fireplace where you'll find an additional seating nook to soak up the warmth of the fire. This flows into the lounge room, which has a smart TV and a heat pump to keep you warm on those extra chilly Tasmanian nights.

The bathroom has a shower, heat lamp, and a heated towel rail to keep you cosy.

A small laundry/utility space contains a washer, dryer, and hanging area for your outdoor jackets.

The large front porch catches the morning light and extends out to the grassy front yard towards the Tamar River.

A well-stocked wood shed can be found at the rear of the property.

Pebbleton is located 30 minutes north of Launceston CBD in the beautiful Tamar Valley wine region. A scenic drive will lead you to the quaint hamlet of Gravelly Beach. You will have exclusive use of the entire property. There’s secure off-street parking for 2 cars. Access details will be sent prior to your stay.

There is limited public transport in the Tamar Valley region, so you will require your own transport to get to Pebbleton.

Though we’d love to share Pebbleton with everyone, due to the nature of the property (including delicate furnishings and hot fireplaces), the cottage is not ideally suited to young children. Allowances may be made, please discuss with us.

Pebbleton is not pet friendly for short stays. Well behaved pets may be considered for stays longer than 7 days, on application and at our discretion. Additional fees will apply.

The local township of Exeter has everything you need to fill the fridge - supermarkets, a fantastic butcher and bakery, and a small bottle shop. Woolworths & BWS are located 15 minutes drive away in Legana. The Tamar Valley Tourist Information Centre and numerous other services are also located in Exeter.

Kindly observe the 10 am check-out time so our cleaners have enough time to thoroughly and safely prepare the space for the next guest in line with Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning standards.

Please leave the home neat & tidy. We may need to charge guests for additional housekeeping time if our team is required to stay longer.
