Smelly, no views
This property DOES NOT have views of mount hood or any streams/creeks/rivers as listed. We did not get directions on how to get there and the road it's on doesn't exist so it took about an hour of trying to guess where it might be with no signal. We drove down a long gravel road with signs saying no trespassing, residents only, properties being monitored, dead end, 10mph max, don't kick up dust, etc, and finally found the "road" of the address.
This moss-encrusted house hides in the trees with no view of anything. No sunlight touched it. Once inside, it smells!! Mold, decaying structure, and wet dog smells. No updates or remodeling since probably the 80s. The front deck it metal, rusty, used-to-be-painted(?).
The listing agency posted HDR photos that make the inside look MUCH better lit than it is. They also make it look more spacious.
We didn't stay and had to press the hosting compang to help us find another place on short notice. This place is absolutely, in no way, worth the going rate. Not for the area, not anywhere.
It takes 10 minutes to get down the gravel road and then another 25 to get to government camp in good conditions, so if you're trying to see anywhere outside of the cabin it's not convenient because there isn't much going on nearby other than a few hiking trails.
