Snowy Mountain Getaway

The house was fantastic with views from almost every room. The homeowner was very helpful, especially since we had a major snowstorm and some issues with the roads. The house was very well laid out and had all the necessary amenities. We love the fireplace and the Christmas decorations. I would highly recommend this house for families, looking to have a true mountain vacation.

Perfect for Family Ski Vacation

Home in the Mountains

Inviting and comfortable home! Has everything a mountain home could offer! Amazing views, cozy fires, spacious and beautiful. House was very clean and decorated for Christmas for our stay. Highly recommend!

Beat the heat

We had a great time in this house, and it was as advertised. Great location close to Beech mountain activities. Enjoyed playing air hockey, foosball, and relaxing in the hot tub. View was unbeatable. Very well stocked kitchen and house. Highly recommend.

Wonderful time

The view was incredible. The cabin house close to so many attractions. We really enjoyed having dinner outside with the mountains view. The open floor plan was perfect for our group of 7 including 3 teenagers. House was clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. Plenty of towels and extra sheets. Communication with the owner was excellent. We will be coming back. We really enjoyed the Banner Elk area and restaurants. Thanks for the restaurants recommendations and the binder with additional information.

A breath of fresh air

We booked this home for our family Spring Break vacation. We converge at this beautiful mountain retreat escaping the oppressions of large metropolitan center in South Florida and Philadelphia. It provided a most welcome breath of fresh air and peace. It is a great HOME away from home. It is cozy, comfortable and welcoming... just perfect for our family gathering (3 generations, 8 people) On the practical side considering location, size, amenities and price, it was a great value.

Perfect Spring Skiing Getaway

We loved staying at this beautiful home in a quiet gated community. The house provided everything we needed and more. So spacious and cozy, we could all gather together comfortably or spread out to the bedrooms, workout room, gaming areas, porch, backyard or living room. The convenience and ease to go skiing, out to eat or shopping was a plus. One of our favorite unexpected surprises was feeding the deer with the corn provided! We’ve stayed in Beech Mtn many times over the years and this was by far our favorite home away from home!

Snow-cation

The size and location of the home was perfect! Beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens, blankets, towels etc. The kitchen was perfect size for the nights we stayed in and cooked a meal. Thank you for adding comfort to our enjoyable snow-cation.

Beautiful home with a gorgeous view.

We enjoyed the home. The view was unbeatable. Lots of parking in the driveway. There was a book with a very thorough list of rules. It took some of the fun out of staying there, to be honest. People who are not big rule followers will probably not be bothered. Overall it was a good experience. The management and owners are very responsive and helpful. I would recommend the home.

Beech Mountain Getaway

The house was very well equipped for a family gathering. Very clean. The open plan including the kitchen, dining room and living room was terrific. The windows at the rear of the house took advantage of the spectacular mountain views to the east and south. Full length decks across the first floor and the lower level were well furnished. Lots to do nearby and perfect weather made our vacation one of the best ever.

Spectacular Mountain Views

This house was amazing. Lots of room to spread out. The kitchen is stocked well with everything you may need. The balcony is a great place to watch the sunrise and sunset. We even watched the starlink satellite train in the sky, two nights while here. That was pretty amazing to see! The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. The pool table was useful for our teenage son as well as the lower level where he had his own space along with a Foosball table and workout room. There is a hot tub on the lower deck. We even got to see three deer in the yard. The neighborhood is gated and very quiet. I loved the stream running beside the house. Jerry and Kristen are very easy to reach if you have questions. I would highly recommend this as your next vacation house.

Escape from the Coastal Heat

Genuinely great house. Spectacular views of the clouds sifting through the trees in the valley below. Loads of space to hang out in groups or all together. I will say though, if you want the views... you gotta get up the mountain! The roads are fully paved and in perfect condition. Just make sure you're driving something with a decent engine and good tire thread.

Great place to stay close to beech

This was an amazing place to stay. The host was very responsive to any questions that came up. There were also a great supply of supplies to deal with the winter storm that rolled in. This allowed us to really enjoy our time on the slopes. This was a great home to enjoy Christmas with the family.

One of the Best

My family and I have been staying in Beech Mountain for the last 20 plus years. This home has to rank at the top. The home is very well kept up and very well stocked with everything you need. The views off the back patio are incredible. I was able to speak with the owner anytime I had a question, he was very quick to respond. I highly recommend this rental Jack

Come enjoy the Beautiful stone gas fireplace!!!

Hi- this is a nice house. We loved the gas fireplace in the living room and the beds are comfortable. Nice big TV with great aps to watch shows. Great place to unwind after skiing. A few things to note… Be prepared for the windy roads that you have to drive every time you go to the property but if you want views that’s the price you pay. We are not used to it so we would get car sick every time including the driver. Also I would not say that this house sleeps 8 people comfortably. There are two queen size beds upstairs and a king bed on the main floor. That would accommodate 6 maybe 7 if you want to sleep 3 people in the king size bed. There is a day bed on the bottom floor but there is no central heat and it was freezing downstairs. There is a fake fireplace that is used for a heater in the room but the entire bottom level gets so cold. The jacuzzi was nice. Jerry the owner is nice and responsive. On a side note if you are coming to ski or board DO NOT go to Beech Mountain just read their reviews on yelp and you will see why. Sugar mountain is so much nicer. Trust me!

Varför värden valde detta boende

We chose this house because it represents freedom from the everyday rush and brings us back to the things we value most - family, home, nature, cool breezes, the sounds of birds, a deer in the back yard, setting in a swing set looking at the fall leaves, outdoor meals or simply roasting marshmallows in the fire pit on the deck or listing to the babbling brook. To me, it is simply beautiful!
