Cedar Suite at Tall Trees Above Goldstream

A peaceful oasis where our guests' biggest concern is oversleeping; it is just so relaxing!

We are located above the Goldstream Day Park in a forest oasis. You feel like you are miles from civilization, but you are only 10 minutes from Langford, Goldstream, or Millstream, depending on which side of the mountain you drive on. We are 30/45 mins from YYJ or DT Victoria, Duncan, Sooke, the perfect spot, especially if you like to hike or explore the ForRest!

WELCOME to the Cedar Suite at Tall Trees Above Goldstream!

The very first time I ever stepped onto this property, I felt at home, and we want our guests to have that very same home-away-from-home feeling, only better.

We live on site, in our own space, so we will only interact as much as you require.

We screen our guests, so we can trust that they will respect that this is our home. We look at our space with pride and attention to detail. We have worked hard to create a beautifully crafted living space that blends in with its natural space.

The forest is literally FOR REST to us, although we also receive our daily dose of energy hiking the many gorgeous trails that surround us.

Upon your arrival, you will park within steps of your self-contained unit. There are about 5 steps up to your own private entrance. You will be given your door code upon arrival. We prefer to meet our guests to introduce our furbaby and ourselves.

Once in, you will find a clean, sanitized, relaxing space. There is an electric fireplace for ambiance and or heat. Main heating and cooling are done through the heat pump. The kitchen has full-size appliances: fridge/freezer, stovetop/airfry oven, dishwasher, and microwave. We also have many mini appliances and larger pots and pans that we can offer to you, to make your stay more comfortable. Our beds and bedding are all covered with hypoallergenic coverings, and we offer either a duvet with a cover or a comforter, if you prefer. ***Futon bedding is available upon request.

We are on a well and septic, so it is critical that ONLY the toilet paper provided and human waste go down the toilet, PLEASE & THANK YOU. (***This is why we ask for the damage coverage.)

Well water is safe to drink and tastes delicious. We offer a couple of bottles of water, in case you need them.

We offer guests high-speed wifi; login information is in the suite. The suite contains a smart TV that you can link your own home accounts to or bring your own stick to use during your stay with us.

The unit contains a few puzzles, board games, cards, cribbage, and our personal favorite, Scrabble!

Outdoors on your private patio, you will find a BBQ and a propane fire pit. The first tank is on us, but we are happy to replace it if you need or want more during your stay. We can fill it for you and add a charge later.

***We do not permit any other type of burning at any time of the year at this suite. We also do not allow ANY SMOKING (OF ANY KIND) OR VAPING INDOORS.

If you do smoke, we will happily provide you with appropriate ashtrays for proper disposal so you can enjoy while sitting outside on the patio. When living in the forest, we all must work together to prevent forest fires.

Laundry is a shared space through the locking door between the bathroom and the bedroom. The laundry rules are posted in the guest book and laundry room.
Laundry supplies that are offered include laundry soap and a drying rack.

The outdoor living space offers a BBQ and a fire table with a love seat and chair around. This space backs onto our hot tub area; this hot tub is NOT included in this rental. We ask that you respect our privacy as we respect yours.
