Excellent host and beautiful area

Communication with the host was excellent and an early check in was incredibly helpful - the house served its purpose exactly as expected - hosting friends for the weekend with easy access to the countryside of VA.

Extremely comfortable home

Thanksgiving week with family and friends at the Cottage was perfect. This home is extremely comfortable, relaxing, well stocked with needed kitchen supplies. Was so fun being in the middle of town but felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. Thank you so much for making such a wonderful home available for rent.

Perfect Family Getaway

This property was perfect for our extended family. The home’s layout, amenities, seclusion, and distance to civilization made it absolutely perfect. We are already planning next years get together and will use this property again. Highly recommended!

Perfect location

Gerry and Supen were wonderful hosts for our week at the Cottage. Gerry was always quick to respond for any questions we had, and we had a blast with the karaoke! The property was beautiful, the views fantastic, and we're hoping to be able to book again in a couple of years when we get the family back together for another reunion!

The Cottage - A relaxing retreat

Myself and a group of old friends reunited for a relaxing weekend at the Cottage and we were not disappointed! Beautiful surroundings (even on a rainy weekend), convenient to DC and IAD airport, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed nearby wineries (Aspen Dale and Barrel Oak) and the owners were always responsive to any questions we had leading up to our visit. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Fun and Relaxing Birthday Weekend Success!

We stayed at the cottage at Hidden Hollow Farm and had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very accommodating, responsive, and understanding. They gave us a property tour upon arrival and set up the karaoke in the garage. Awesome time and awesome hosts! Will be back again if they'll have us! ;)

Very spacious and relaxing

The house was great and it was easy to communicate with Sue. Some things were missing, like soap in the bathrooms, but overall it was a really great house. Sue was very responsive.

Another Excellent Property from Sue and Norman

I normally stay at Sue and Norm's other property, but as it was booked, decided to stay at the cabin. I am glad I did. The cottage was clean and very well kept. We were in the area for a family wedding and the house worked well for my wife and I, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece and her fiancé. The house is close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. We would stay again should have a need to go to the DC Area.

Beautiful Sanctuary

We had such a great time at this gorgeous cabin and the hosts were so gracious. We used it for our son's HS graduation. Perfect location! The house was equipped with so many things you often forget when you go on vacation. That was nice, no running back and forth to the store, although there is serval right up the road. The views were amazing and there is so much land to enjoy! Wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to get back to the real world. Highly recommended!!

Lovely house, bucolic setting

Comfortable and well appointed house that seems isolated in beautiful woods and meadows, yet is only a few minutes from shopping and the center of Warrenton. Our stay was unexpectedly cut short by a violet storm, knocking out power, running water, and access to the house from the main road. A flashlight and candles would have been useful.

This Guest Cottage in the thick, isolated Forrest near Warrenton was perfect for our group. It is large, spacious, clean and very well fit out with all kitchen equipment and accessories. Our group setttlef right in and the property enhances our experience. Our hosts Supen and Jerry were attentive and helpful. Deers and Turkeys spotted each morning. Definitely a property with nostalgic charm and design. I highly recommend this property for medium to large groups. It’s perfectly set up.

Girls Weekend

We were a group of 8 retired women visiting for the Solheim Cup. It was very convienent to the course, restuarants. Beautiful sunrises. Kitchen had everything you would need. Outside deck and furniture was nice, but in need of cleaning off. Kitchen had a big table that we could all eat at. The only thing we had a problem with was there were a lot of bunk beds and being seniors, we did not feel comfortable climbing up to the tops. But we improvised. Overall, it was an amazing weekend.

Great Place to Stay

The house and surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The bedrooms are clean and spacious, especially the main bedroom on the first floor. The outdoor firepit/hammock area is picture perfect. The house is so well decorated our group felt as though we were in a family's home, not a hotel or basic rental property. The rest of our family rented property up the road and being able to walk between the two houses was very convenient. The notes from the owner were so helpful and well placed, no flipping a dozen different light switches to find the right one! Everyone who was there is already trying to make plans to return! Thank you!

Nice stay in wooded area

We enjoyed being away from the noise of town in this wooded cottage. Outside space is the best part! Downstairs main bedroom nice, although I didnt like having no door between the bathroom and the bedroom, just a screen, but it was okay just a personal preference. The upstairs bedrooms are very basic like dorm room feel. Upstairs bath needs a small chair or bench in it to lay clothes on. The map room was fun for family, could use an extra chair or two in there as well. The kitchen is well-equipped with utensils, but bring your own paper towels, kitchen dish soap and detergent (not a surprise, just a reminder). Great communication with the owners. Enjoyed our stay!

Great setting with plenty of space

We spent 2 nights at the Cottage with 2 other families (total of 6 adults and 9 kids) after a dinner party on Lost Mountain. Plenty of room for all to sleep, lounge, cook, grill and eat. The kids had a blast exploring the property and playing football. We parents most enjoyed the fire pit. The location is just off 29 (kids loved being able to walk to Sheetz) but once you get down the driveway, you could be in the middle of nowhere. It's also just a couple miles from old town Warrenton (parents loved being able to take 2 mile jog to Red Hat bakery). We hiked Sky Meadows one day - about a 30 min drive - and Bears Den the next (a little further afield, but was on our way home). Sue couldn't have been easier to work with. She was very responsive and made sure we had everything we need. If the location works for you, definitely would recommend a stay here.

Secluded stay close to amenities.

Very nice comfortable home in the woods. Had everything we needed in a very pretty setting. Close to restaurants and shops for convenience with the feeling of being out of the way. Check in and out was very simple. Nice outdoor spaces for relaxing.

We actually were able to have our wedding at this property. A beautiful fall evening. The host was very accommodating. The property was clean, and easy to get to for guests as well as being private. Big cabin, beautiful porch

Stayed with my family for a wedding. The house was delightful as well as the porches. Lots of space, nice bathrooms, kitchen was nice and easy to work in. The mattresses and pans were a bit older, still clean and usable, but nothing fancy.

Wedding Weekend

Used the house as our home base for family and traveling groomsmen during a wedding weekend. It worked out fine for all or our needs. The property is beautiful and we even got to see some wild turkeys!

Gerry and I have lived and worked all over the world....having worked for multi national and government agencies worldwide. We make our home in Warrenton because we are on the front steps of Fauquier County's culture scene and re-imagined history. .

Has an executive flair but rustic atmosphere....beautiful setting in the woods and located next to two small country estates and farms.
