Pool was advertised, yet under renovation- non accessible.
Beautiful hotel, we were all looking forward to being in Atlanta and at the hotel pool for a day of lounging, looking at city views and catching up with friends while cooling off in the pool and getting a tan. Nowhere was it mentioned on VRBO or on the Georgian Terrace website that the pool was closed for renovations. Very misleading and misrepresented.
Also, I had to request plates, utensils paper towels, drink glasses and wine glasses, etc. When I did request wine glasses, they brought up paper cups and said that’s all they could do. I asked the housekeeper for real glassware to drink from and all she could scramble up was 5 very mismatched glasses of all sizes, none were wine glasses. I found that very odd. I had to go to the restaurant (Livingston) and bar (P&P) to get them myself, which was also a job, as it took persuasion. I should not have to troll the entire hotel for this.
The city of Atlanta also had several water main breaks while we were there, effecting the water quality. This occurred on Friday and there was zero communication to the patrons to not drink the tap water. We all bring reusable bottles, so we were downing it from the tap, especially since the hotel only provided 2 bottled waters for a party of 6 upon arrival. The water main breaks were obviously not the hotels fault, but the communication upfront could have been better. Also, the phone in the room did not work properly, I could not even call the front desk without my cell or going to the lobby.
