Peppermint Lookout in Kilcunda
About the home
“Peppermint Lookout” is a delightful double-storey family home in Kilcunda just a short walk from the beach and Kilcunda General Store & Pub, and a comfortable drive to all the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The first floor is comprised of the Lounge Room (with 43" smart TV and many board games), Bedroom 2 (with BIR), Bedroom 3 with BIR and dual-access ensuite (with spa bath), fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine and clothes dryer) and a separate Toilet. Upstairs is the large open plan Kitchen/Meals/Living Room (with 55" smart TV & bluetooth speaker) with stunning rural and water views, as well as Bedroom 1 with an ensuite (with shower & toilet).
Outdoor Areas
Access to the home is via external stairs to the first floor entrance. There is a first floor front covered Balcony as well as a rear fully covered Entertaining Area (with gas BBQ and Table & chairs for 8 people). The second floor has a Balcony (with 2 armchairs) that looks out over Kilcunda to the Ocean and across a magnificent rural expanse. There is also a private Balcony and Deck off Bedroom 1 (with a 3-seat sofa). The whole block is enclosed, and the rear yard features an enclosed trampoline & firepit (no wood provided). The Garage is not for guest use, but there is space to park up to 3 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) on the driveway.
Please note that the home is in a rural setting on a bush style block. Native animals including lizards call it home - but guests should be mindful of snakes in the immediate surrounds as well. This property is NOT pet friendly.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine and coffee plungers, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle airconditioners; one in each of the upstairs Living Room and the downstairs Lounge Room, and ceiling fans in all 3 bedrooms and the upstairs Living Room.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds, and 2 sofa beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): Two Single beds
There are also two Single Sofa beds in the Downstairs Lounge, each suitable for 1 adult or child.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
