Unbeatable North Shore Lodging

Our group of four senior adults (two couples) was delighted with this property. It had everything you'd want for a North Shore getaway: breathtaking lake views from two levels, walking distance to lake shore, short driving distances to shopping, dining, and recreation, well-appointed kitchen, comfortable furniture, two balconies, a grill, and more. A great place to relax and enjoy this splendid part of the country. We hope to return.

North Shore/Lake Superior townhome

Very comfortable and well appointed accommodations with views of Lake Superior. The private stone beach area is a must-see. Excellent access to available area activities and restaurants. Paved walking/biking trail adjacent to the property.

Relaxing Weekend

The town house we stayed at in Tofte this past weekend was amazing! Listening to the waves at night, and being right in the middle of so many fun destinations, it was a perfect way for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary! Clean and comfortable, the town house was everything and more than what we could have asked for! We will definitely be making it an annual trip, thanks again to our hosts for keeping such a nice, clean, and wonderful property!Warmly,~ The Kuppingers

Extended family trip to Northshore

Loved the two balconies looking directly over Lake Superior. The house was well appointed with attention to details that made the stay comfy. The location was ideal for hiking.

Waterfront getaway

Very comfortable unit. Stocked well with all you need. Kitchen has everything you need to cook some great meals. Location is central to Lutsen area with plenty to do. Nice beach, just note ~94 stairs to get there!

Close to Lutsen Ski Resort and Rocks

We had a wonderful time with friends at this Lakefront Townhome. Everything we needed for our stay was provided. The owners are fabulous, the townhome was clean and ready for our arrival. Would stay here again.

Perfect place, location, and host.

This was one of our favorite VRBO rentals so far. It was very clean, great spaces, comfortable beds, Great Lake views. The location is perfect for getting to the falls, the light house, and Grand Marais. We also appreciated being so close to the Tofte general store and the Coho Cafe for coffee and take out pizzas that were very good! The host and owner were very communicative and easy to work with. It was also nice to be able to put our car in the garage. We would definitely stay again.

Lake Superior Condo

we found this condo unit very roomy for 6 adults and an infant. The kitchen and eating areas were large enough for all of us. Plenty of dishes for eating and cooking. The bedrooms comfortable, and fortunately the stairway to the lake was open so we could visit the beach. We did have to park one vehicle away from the condo, but it was only a very short walk. I would not hesitate to rent this condo again.

Vacation with a view

My family of 5 (3 teenagers) spent 3 nights at the property during winter break and had a wonderful time. The views of Lake Superior are great. Its location between Tofte and Lutsen was perfect. The home and furnishings were all clean and of better quality than what we’ve had at nearby resorts and elsewhere along the north shore in recent years. Kitchen had everything we needed and was large enough that multiple people could work at once. All in I wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. Location, property, amenities and the communication was all fantastic. Thanks

Beautiful views and wonderful hosts!

My family (6 adults and 1 toddler) had a wonderful stay at the Tofte Townhouse! We came up for a ski vacation at Lutsen and despite the light snowfall this winter, we had a great trip! The townhouse had everything we needed to make all of our meals in and we enjoyed some nice treats left by our hosts!Michelle was very organized in providing us everything we needed to know for our stay and there were no “hiccups” that might get in the way of a relaxing weekend getaway. The best thing about this place are the amazing views of Lake Superior! The townhouse is well set up so the views can be enjoyed from the living room, kitchen, two of the bedrooms, and a porch when the weather is nice! Before we’d even left the townhouse, my mom was talking about how she’d like to stay again in the summer. I hope to join here!Thank you to Jeff and Michelle for a fabulous North Shore retreat!

Very nice, very comfortable

Outside of a couple things it was absolutely top notch. Very comfy beds. Very well equipt. Nice to have use of the garage and grill. There was no key in the lockbox on arrival, but had I kept reading I would have gotten to the garage door code. But the owner was available and helped so that was easy and immediate. The main issue for us was there was really no access to the lake as advertised. The steps were out of order/“not safe”, unbeknownst to the owner. She gave us another way to get there but it was just a way to view the lake, not a way to get to the lake as we thought we were getting when renting this townhome (it now actually says “access to the beach is not guaranteed” which I don’t think was in the listing before🤔). It was just disappointing and I know I wouldn’t have rented that one if we didn’t have access to the beach. But the place was great and owners very responsive! Thank you.

Great start to an annual spring break skiing tradition

Our family of four loves the North Shore and specifically the Tofte/Lutsen area. We often come twice a year to Bluefin Bay but this time I wanted to see what else was available in the area, and to also accommodate bringing along my sister-in-law and her husband too for our kid's spring break and teaching them how to ski.This rental property did not disappoint. Stunning views, great location, great accommodations, and thoughtful decorations really put the finishing touches on a great week away. The beds were very soft, rooms were big, was great to have four separate beds for the six of us. Kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans/plates/bowls/cutlery/etc that you might need (only exception we found was a wet measuring cup - I just had to guess how much water was 3/4 cup :). We used the provided grill too for some turkey burgers one night. And a large variety of spices were provided, alongside some ground coffee and a few chocolates! The rental also included a garage space. We played lots of family games each night, and found a new favorite "You Can't Say Umm..." that was among the games in the townhome. The 65" Samsung TV was pretty great too that we hooked our Nintendo Switch up to for some video games. The electric fireplace was cozy and inviting. Lots of storage areas too, and the bathrooms were good with great water pressure and plenty of hot water.I'll be keeping this rental property on my short list and would love to return in the future. It's so close to Lake Superior and the two level deck was so great to be able to use to see the beautiful nature surrounding us. Thanks for hosting us!

Great stay in Tofte

This property was a perfect location for our summer vacation on the North Shore. This place was close to a lot of the state parks we wanted to visit. It was well equipped with everything we needed, very clean and the view was like no other. We would recommend.

It Was Perfect

Beautiful cozy townhome with incredible lake views from two private patios. We took advantage of the location and made a day trip up to Grand Marais and Grand Portage to see the High Falls. The close proximity to Lutsin resorts, numerous state parks, and the Superior hiking trail(s) would keep outdoor enthusiasts entertained for months. I will be returning.

A relaxing escape....

A truly unbelievable place with views of Lake Superior from the living room and deck! Enjoyed my morning coffee with the sound of waves and sun keeping me warm. Also, a perfectly stocked kitchen if you want to cook and stay in after a hike (which we did)!Will definitely return and enjoy again!!
