Walk your dog down to dog beach and let them run free on the beach. Take your boards, fins, and family and spend the day at the beach. The south end is home to tide pools to see local sea life. The OB pier is perfect for sightseeing and having breakfast or lunch at the cafe on the pier. Newport Avenue is home to many local businesses, excellent restaurants, breweries, surf shops and night life.
Walking east from the house takes you to coffee shops, "To the Point" eatery perfect for breakfast. A bit further is Stumps, the local supermarket.
Within a very short drive are a number of marinas in Mission Bay where guests can rent boats, go on fishing charters or whale watching excursions. Mission Beach and more activities and night life are in that area. The other direction takes you to Liberty Station where there are more supermarkets, parks, stores, restaurants and an excellent full service theater "The Lot."
The airport is less than 10 minutes away. Downtown San Diego, the gaslamp district, and the Convention Center are also less than 10 minutes driving. The San Diego Zoo is about a 10 minute drive by Balboa Park, home to museums and a great botanical garden. A ferry runs from downtown to Coronado, a great place to spend the day. There is so much to do in San Diego and this home is close to it all.
