We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was very charming and clean! Loved the hot tub with cute deck lights. The cabin was very well stocked. Two porches overlooking the large backyard and creek and able to hear the water. So relaxing! We have stayed in multiple cabins across several states and this is one of our favorites! The owner was very helpful and responded immediately to questions. Looking forward to staying here again in the future. Loved it!!

5-Star Review: Relaxing Family Getaway at The Trout House

Our stay at The Trout House in Suches, GA was everything we hoped for and more. The cabin is tucked away in a peaceful, scenic spot with a trout-filled creek running right through the backyard. We spent hours playing in the water and even got in some fishing—such a fun and memorable experience for the kids!The hot tub was perfect for winding down in the evenings, and the cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. It offered just the right mix of comfort and rustic charm.We had a great time exploring the area—tubing down the Chattahoochee River, hiking to a waterfall, horseback riding, riding the mountain coaster, and visiting Helen, GA with its fun Bavarian-style vibe. Traveling with two kids, it was an ideal balance of adventure and relaxation.Cell service was limited and the WiFi wasn’t strong, but honestly, that ended up being one of the best parts—it gave us all a much-needed screen detox and quality time together.We highly recommend The Trout House for anyone looking for a peaceful mountain escape surrounded by nature and family-friendly activities. We’d love to come back!

Very relaxing view

My husband and I loved our stay here. It was very relaxing and no matter where you were at in the house you could hear the water rushing by. It was wonderful hearing this all the time. My husband fished while I relaxed with a few books and enjoyed sitting outside and inside the screened porch during the rain. The bed was extremely comfortable. One thing to keep in mind your cell phone does NOT make phone calls or accept any. You have internet service to send text messages and that is it. The little market about 10 mins from the house called Cooper Creek market was great for few essentials if needed. They have great burgers and BBQ sandwiches. This place was big enough for at least 3 couples however it was only my husband and I. Maybe next time we will bring friends.

Relaxing stay

Had a great time. Husband caught some trout. We enjoyed the hot tub and loved the sunroom. Cooper Creek store was great. We went down and got breakfast and lunch there.

Trout house family fishing trip

The location was perfect for us. The property is located near the join of Sea Creek and Coopers Creek. You can sit on the enclosed porch and see this. Beautiful scenery, very relaxing. We sat by the fire pit and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The negatives were the locks and door handles throughout the home did not function well and the front door screen was out of the frame. The gas grill and charcoal grill were both rusted severely and were unusable. We attempted to grill steaks on the charcoal grill using aluminum foil, but it didn't work well, and we ruined our steaks. Bring your own grill. The fireplace was nice, but unsure if it works, we didn't use it and it didn't appear to be user friendly. Also, the listing says the camera faces outward. It doesn't, it faces inwards into the front door and it stayed on several times during our stay. I would totally stay here again even with the issues we experienced. The beauty of the property outweighs the negatives.

The Odor of sewage downstairs was unbearable making that part of the unit unusable.and of course infiltrating the upstairs space as wellPans in kitchen were all scrambled in cabinet and unsafe for use due to the anti stick coating peeling, Goodwill wouldn't even accept these!The drawers were so jumbled, disorganized and dirty, items just thrown in themThe closets had stuff just thrown in them, like blankets just thrown on the floor with stuff on top of themDog hair .... I swept and mopped the floors and there was tons of hairNone of the door locks work properlyUrine odor in the throw rugs...I had to put one of them outside! I would suggest that since unit is pet friendly rugs be eliminated or at very least...ALL WASHABLE!Perhaps have the larger bed on the main floor, being a disabled person with us and the stairs to go downstairs was not an optionThe screens downstairs on the porch had LARGE tears in themThe trash can in garage was FULL and smelled like something dead was in it!The distance from the cabin to the beautiful creek was misrepresented making it impossible for the disabled to walk down there which was the whole purpose of the visitHot Tub didn't workGrills are all rusted through, unusableFire Pit was rusted through , unusable

Very nice cabin in a beautiful setting

The cabin was as advertised, it had plenty of room and accommodations for a comfortable stay. There was a full kitchen, dining, plenty of sleeping room and a hot tub. The property is set back away on a beautiful stream with a fire pit to take in the scenery. While the cabin is set back it is located closely to many liking trails, canoe/kayak drop in areas, and blue ridge is a short drive. There is a very nice corner store located at the beginning of the road to the cabin. There are several nice wineries near by as well. This cabin and area is a place that can be enjoyed throughout the year. We do plan on visiting again. It was very nice that it was pet friendly as we took our doggo with us. The host gave good communication and answered any questions we had.

Where to start. This was our parties idea of heaven. The cabin was clean and plenty of helpful information was given prior. It felt like we were on our own island with no one around and rarely a car on the road. Sitting right on the stream with the firepit going and watching the deer, and later turkey, play in the field across the stream was amazing. Got our wood at the corner store. In the evening, my niece the chef cooked up a gourmet meal with just the pots and pans there and we sat at the table with a view. And the hot tub! Clean and toasty. For an afternoon we played cornhole and pulled the loungers to the deck and napped to the sound of the rustling water. Even had a movie night with no wifi interruption. I did have an older phone without wifi calling, but honestly enjoyed being cut off from the real world for a bit of me time. Excellent host and all needs were met. Highly recommend. We'll be back.
