The house is huge and well equipped, great for family reunion or holidays. The pool was superb, lots of fun had by all. Local town a short walk away.

Swimming pool - perfect for a lovely stay Hosts were amazing. They were so accommodating, we would struggled without their help

The gite was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pool and garden area was amazing and our teenagers would have happily spent all day, everyday in there. Location is remote, a car is a must. We also hired bikes but found the area very hilly so you need to be fit! Nearest town is Ambazac which is lovely with shops, a couple of bars and places to eat. The Lac de Saint-Pardoux is worth a visit. There’s a nice beach, water sports and aqua park. Again something the teenagers enjoyed. We didn’t see much of our hosts as they were away most of our stay, we did enjoy a drink with them on our last night though. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

We were a 3-generation family group and had a lovely holiday. The pool is fabulous and the kids loved the table tennis, table football and tennis court. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with tables to eat together.

We enjoyed an amazing holiday with family at this fabulous property situated in the very peaceful town of Saint-Sylvestre. The property benefits from being on a incredible plot of land and perfectly located next to village sports courts such as tennis, small football pitch and playground which meant it was perfect for our two lively boys. The garden is huge and the heated pool is very inviting and they is cooler shaded space outside to enjoy some time out of the sun. The house is well equipped and oozes rustic French charm with a modern bathroom and kitchen. We were looked after by the host who regularly checked in with us via message. We had a superb stay. It was the first time we'd been to that part of France. The gîte was lovely, well equipped and full of character. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and garden. They would have been happy with 7 days of swimming and table tennis. We did end up hanging out by the pool at some point every day. The area is very picturesque and there's plenty to see and do nearby, if you've got a car. We had a few trips to Lac Pardoux to go paddleboarding and swimming. Lovely roads for cycling as long as you don't mind a few hills. The owners were really friendly and went above and beyond. We felt really welcome and at home which allowed us to really relax. We were all sad to have to leave. Thanks for a wonderful week.

The house is lovely, the pool is well maintained

This is a well equipped new house with en-suite bath/shower rooms to every bedroom. The area is quite beautiful and we enjoyed trips into Bessines-sur-Gartempe, and all the lovely lakes around. We were seven of us for most of the time and there was plenty of room and facilities for us. Although we were happy here and had a wonderful time there were a couple of gripes. We did not find the spiral staircase that easy for access to the upstairs and particularly to take our luggage up and down. The pool we thought could be dangerous for children and adults. it needed to be used just as a plunge pool really - and just in and out. No playing on the edges. (Not easy to get kids to understand!!) If you did fall the landing on the stones would be painful, and you had to sign a disclaimer as soon as you arrived. Neither my wife or I used the pool but the rest of the family did. We found some lovely walks in the immediate area and several times we walked across to Bessines.
