We loved our stay in Murren at the Monch Chalet! The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, and bright. The view and the deck are amazing. It is very close to the train, which is convenient and the train is very quiet. The unit (& train station) are at the far end of town, so the area is generally quiet ... the other end of town has the restaurants and lift. Very comfortable bed. Being on the ground floor, the unit stays cool in the summer. Very responsive hosts -- had an issue with the oven that they resolved very quickly. Highly recommend.

Very happy with our stay

6 of us spent 2 wonderful days hiking in and around Gimmelwald, including the cable car to the Schlithorn. The town was much more quaint than Murren and had amazing views from our deck. We stopped at the store in Lauterbrautten to get groceries and created our own breakfasts and packed lunches.

This historic house for a week was perfect for our family with two five year olds and a 7 year old. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked, and there was nice outdoor space to eat and have a fire. The village was peaceful and quiet, and the house was a great launching point for adventures all over the area. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly, and we had no issues with our stay! We would go back again if we ever make it back to that area!
