  • Perfect getaway!

"My boyfriend and I & our 2 dogs recently had an awesome little getaway at Cain Cottage. Sue and Don are simply the best! They offer everything possible you could need for your stay. The cottage is gorgeous and the huge property is fully fenced, perfect for our furry family members. After exploring the island it was great to come back and relax in the hot tub and on top of everything Sue baked us one of the best cakes we've ever had. It did not last long at all yummy. We will definitely be returning to Cain Cottage hopefully sooner than later. Thanks again Sue & Don!"

  • Simply superb

"This is a wonderfully secluded and yet prominently located log cabin comfortably set back from the cliff that drops down to Active Pass. You get the sense of being perched in the clouds. The vista to the west is stunning, especially early morning and evening. The ferries all pass through and they are a pleasure to watch and to hear their whistles sound. The first one is early, but you want to be an early riser to enjoy every minute of your stay. While technically a cabin, it has all the comforts of home and is extremely well equipped. Keep an eye on the water below as we saw orcas swim by early one evening. The most magical aspect was the sound they make. The treck to the beach is rigorous, but if you are moderately fit, no problem, and well worth the effort. The hosts are extremely responsive and friendly, although there was nothing we needed. We had a 10 day stay, and enjoyed every minute."

  • Tranquil setting to relax

"We very much enjoyed our stay at Inn of The Sea. The condo was very clean and well appointed (including a good selection of games and DVD's for those rainy days) to ensure one's comfort and needs were met. A well equipped kitchen was most welcomed. The condo afforded us with lovely views of the ocean, and when weather permitted, the coast mountains. We were treated to regular sightings of herons, bald and golden eagles and the occasional seal. While we only made use of the hot tub once, the views from it were spectacular. The setting is very peaceful and walks along the country roads to nearby forest parks down to the sea were refreshing. Good location for a home base to further explore other parts of Vancouver Island. Peggy was very prompt to respond to my emails and questions I had. Thank you."
