  • Incredible views - great house

"Virginia's house is perfectly set up for a rental. We were 6 adults and a tiny baby, staying over the New Year period. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, the views incredible, it was spotless, and there were even knapsacks in the cupboard should we have required them. Virginia's correspondence prior to and availability during our stay was excellent. We would highly recommend this house."

  • Spacious, functional home base away from home

"Our family of 4 didn't need the whole house, so we closed off a couple rooms and lived with plenty of space and comfort in the remainder of the house. Our stay was during December, and the heated floors were dreamy at the end of our day hikes; we sprawled out and played a lot of cards at the coffee table level. We also appreciated that the kitchen knives were actually sharp, that we could easily recycle and compost if it pleased us (it did), and the bedroom views of windy trees were lovely. Thank you!"

  • Private garden setting

"Our glamping adventure started following a winding path away from the parking area. Nestled along the sides were interesting art pieces. We were in the middle of an art installation! A little iron gate indicated our "private" space and we were home for the next 4 days. There was an outdoor table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy our morning coffees or our after dinner wine. Breakfast items in the fridge: fresh blueberries! milk, juice, eggs, yogurt, butter. And bread, granola, coffee, tea. For the coolish nights there was a wonderful heater to toast the room. And the bed was wonderful! The location was excellent. A walk or a short drive to Ganges. A pleasant walk down Churchill Street and we were on the beach! A lovely morning walk towards Ganges: a French Patisserie!! And a pub to pick up a bottle of Saltspring wine. Nik and Celia were right on board to attend to a couple of our needs. There was a great tourist book to pre plan our visiting. Overall caring hosts, excellent location."

  • Magical Thanksgiving

"What a magical weekend this beautiful log home and all it's detail, warmth and love provided our extended family. It's layout was perfect for our needs, the kitchen wonderful to cook our enormous turkey in, and there was enough space that everyone, young and old, could do their own thing over the long weekend and feel genuinely happy and at peace. A wonderful treat. Thanks so much, Sandy, for opening up your idyllic, cozy, rustic home, for the opportunity to sample rural Salt Spring life, and to see the world through a new light. We look forward to returning in the spring!"
