  • Amazing

"We absolutely loved our 2 night stay at this home. The view was amazing. The home provided all we needed except a 2nd hair dryer and some fans. We visited with locals on the beach and walked to Seaside restaurant both nights for dinner. The home has been updated beautifully."

  • Quiet, cozy getaway

"We, four adults and four dogs, enjoyed the Fernwood beach house. It had everything we were looking for, a quiet, pet friendly location. The two bedrooms were comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need and we spent most of our time on the deck, looking out at the ocean. It's about a twenty minute drive to town and there's plenty to see on Saltspring Island. We visited a winery, brewery, and cheese maker and enjoyed our purchases on the deck in the evening."

  • Beautiful and cozy for the family

"At the end of our week, we all agreed that this was the best house we have ever rented. My husband and our 2 year-old daughter shared the house with our friends and their 2 year-old daughter. From the reviews and photos, I was expecting the upstairs to be beautiful and it was - but I hadn't fully anticipated what a wonderful home this is for families. There was plenty of space for everyone to stretch out. The downstairs is filled with toys and extra beds for kids, potties, booster chairs, silverware and plates and cups. It made the stay incredibly easy and fun. The views out to the sound are amazing. The kitchen is very well stocked - with olive oil and spices. We spent most of the week cooking with food from the Island. The girls particularly enjoyed picking apples from the tree and watching the bunny rabbits and ferry boats go by. We are hoping to make it a yearly trip. Thank you!"

  • Charming!

"Our visit to Salt Spring Island was car free and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We caught the bus from the ferry and it dropped us off at the corner, steps from our accommodations. The suite is lovely and comfortable and is run by the owners of the Duthie Gallery. It's a short walk to the town of Ganges and far enough that it's peaceful and quiet both day and night. The sculpture garden attached to the Duthie Gallery is lovely to enjoy and steps from the private backyard that comes with the suite. It was wonderful to come into the suite and have fresh baked bread, some local fruit, homemade preserves, and all the fixings for a breakfast or snack. The only drawback for us was that the suite is open concept and if one person is awake it's difficult to let the other person sleep. Our contact person was Kevin and he was helpful with any questions we had and gave us a ride to the ferry for our return trip. We rented bikes to explore the island but that lasted one day after we experienced the multitude of hills. The next two days we rented scooters and enjoyed seeing the island and having some time to do some hikes as well. I have to say, I love the west coast! The people are relaxed and "real", the service was great, wherever we went, and nothing was a problem."
