  • Great little place to crash at the end of your day. Just the basic necessities. Peaceful riverside.

"I liked the bbq on the cabins porch. I liked the camp-feel of the bathroom/showers in a separate building. The difference between the high and low tidal river was cool. The property manager/owner was very kind, even though we didn't check in until midnight and he was very helpful with things we needed. The stars on a clear summers night were mesmerizing. The cabin was nice and simple. Newly built. I'd stay there again."

  • Great house, great views, great stay!

"We loved this house! It is large (larger than we needed, but that was OK), with a big kitchen, big first floor bedroom (really comfortable bed!), laundry right off the kitchen, a perfect set-up. It has a full 2nd floor, which we didn't use, but makes it great for a larger group. Our main reason for choosing the Bay of Fundy Farmhouse was that Ruth accepted us with our four dogs, and we are so grateful for that. It was a wonderful property for the dogs, with more than adequate front, side, and back yard space for them. The view of the Bay of Fundy from the front porch was just wonderful, with beautiful sunsets right out the window. The location was a little removed from Annapolis Royal -- we were a little bit intimidated when we saw the mountain we had to climb to get to Parker's Cove -- but it turned out it wasn't a bad trip at all. Annapolis Royal is a lovely little town -- very walkable, great little shops, and very friendly people. Don't miss the candlelight graveyard tour! It was very well done, and so informative. We almost talked ourselves out of going -- had to cross the mountain again pretty late! -- and we're so glad we did the tour. We loved Annapolis Royal and hope to return, and when we do, we would definitely stay here again. It felt like home -- so comfortable and so welcoming. Thank you, Ruth."

  • A home away from home!

"This rental exceeded our expectations and our family of 5 was instantly relaxed and had everything we needs. We would stay for again and for longer next time. The area is close to everything, there is lots of room for everyone and the owners were fantastic. You must do the whale watching as this was the highlight of our stay for sure. The ladies in the information office in downtown Digby (within walking distance) were very helpful with booking our whale watching and also our ferry as well. The people in Digby are very friendly. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us!"

  • Wonderfully peaceful time on the lake.

"Blueberry Shores far exceeded our expectations. It matched the description in the listing, and was clean and well maintained. The listing, however, could not convey the overall beauty of the location. The views of the lake are soul nourishing. The waters are clear and warm (at least when we were there). The lake is big enough to explore nooks and crannies that are not yet developed. The cottage itself was very cute and quite comfortable and private. The main deck attached to the cottage is great and there is a mini-deck down by the lake is that is very sweet. Annapolis Royal is about a 25 minute drive, and has some cute little restaurants and historical stuff to see. Kejimkujik National Park is about a 1/2 hour drive. I highly recommend it for kayaking or canoeing. It is extremely beautiful. The owners provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend Blueberry Shores to anyone looking for a peaceful, fun retreat."
