  • Great central base camp to visit Provo

"Great communication and support. So many inclusions (bikes, snorkling gear, beach chairs, cooler, ombrella, local cellphone, beach mats...). Very welcoming experience and affordable experience on the island, even more if compared with any "beachfront" villa. We totally felt like it was our own cottage, nothing is missing. Its also greatly appreciated that they provide a island cellphone and that someone is alway reachable for any questions or recommandation. We felt secure and confident and not "left alone on the island". If you want to see around, you have to get a car anyway, even if you rent a beachfront unit at 20x the cost. Driving in provo is safe and as the island is small, you can (and will want to) see it all. This cottage/villa is centraly located, so you can get ANYWHERE within 15 min or less. Food is good everywhere on the island, but restaurants are on the expensive side. Our meal routine was: 1) breakfast at the cottage, 2) for lunch: high end sandwiches, salads and wraps to go from Graceway Gourmet (thanks for the supplied cooler and ice packs!), 3) dinner most of the time at the cottage (new Weber BBQ at your door, and full kitchen inside). Good and affordable food. Beaches are incredible, it's great to just reach in the cooler, open a beer and grab a sandwich right there in your own cooler. No need to leave the beach and wait an hour to get lunch in a restaurant. . We would totally go again, next time with the whole familly in both the villa and cottage :-) Cheers !"

  • Wonderful Holiday rental

"The 4 of us, 2 Americans and 2 Brits, take holiday rentals around the world whenever we can and this year we wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing to cover from a somewhat traumatic year. Ocean Breeze, only steps from a truly beautiful and almost deserted beach in N. Caicos, and with its pool, garden furniture and gazebo fitted the bill to perfection. Inside was as described, comfortable and well equipped with everything we could need. However, what made our holiday truly memorable was rhe warmth, kindness and efficiency of our hosts, Darville and Kadra. They, with their delightful little daughter Nikki and their friendly dog, Roxie, lived next door and we're always available if needed but never intruded. Kadra got in groceries as requested for our arrival, organised our transport from Provo airport by taxi, ferry and another taxi to the house, provided us with a local cell phone with her number in so that we could contact her and offered to take us to a local barbecue the following evening where we could meet some of her friends and relatives. We took her up on that and had a great time and went again on our own the following week. She organised a car for us so that we could explore the island and cross the causeway to Middle Caicos which was well worth doing as we found lovely views, caves to visit, good food at Mudjin Bay and at Daniel's cafe where we also met Lovey, a local singer, talked with the very interesting Daniel and discovered the wonderful sea grass baskets made by the ladies of the local co-operative. When Kadra discovered it was Rodney's birthday, she brought us a gift pack of wine and snacks. Nothing was too much trouble for her and when the time came for us to leave she organised an overnight stay for us in Provo with taxi service from ferry to hotel and hotel to airport provided by her lovely young nephew. In spite of her busy schedule, because our car was too small for all of us and luggage, she came home to drive 2 of us to the ferry and wish us all farewell. Darville had also responded promptly to switch on a generator for us when there was a power cut. Terrific service from them both. We took a boat trip, snorkelled a little, enjoyed good food and drink and really loved the friendly welcoming Islanders and very much hope to visit again."

  • I loved this rental!

"I opened the door of this unit and was instantly impressed by the decor, cleanliness, and beautiful views beyond two separate glass sliding doors. This immersed the unit with just the right sunlight and avoided the "boxed-in" feeling created by most hotel rooms and many other condo rentals. This was the first time staying on a ground floor unit, and I must say it enhanced our island getaway experience. Our family enjoyed being able to walk right out the back terrace, strolling steps to the pool and beach. The entire terrace and back of the wrap-around unit is lushly landscaped with pathway leading up to the unit. There is a sizable distance between the back terrace and pedestrian paths, which created privacy. Random thoughts: ~Family room was comfortable with a sizable Plasma T.V., featuring a myriad of international cable channels. ~Kitchen was generously stocked. Nice coordinating dinnerware. I especially was impressed with the extra garbage bags, liquid soap, and laundry detergent. ~ The master bed was comfortable and cozy. ~Everything in great working order. ~A bit of a learning curve to shower faucet for me (once you get it it's simple) ~The gym at OCW looks brand new and afforded a great work with newer equipment. ~Front door area very clean, overall very clean complex. ~We enjoyed lazy-river shaped pool. Unit offered water toys, snorkel mask, and floats ~Ocean Club West is perfect for R&R. Very tranquil and casual. No need to bring your vogue cover-ups to walk through a commercialized lobby. ~We ate most days and nights at OCW's Seaside Cafe which was 60 seconds away from our unit. We loved the food and breath-taking views of Grace Bay. Many awesome restaurants in walking distance that we'd gone to in the past, but we just got too comfortable at OCW to leave! ~Snorkeling trip was a hit with our family. We went with Caicos Tours, but several years back we toured with Island Vibes and had an equally great time. ~Owners great to deal with and rent from! They work with a management company on the island, which were in constant communication with us until our arrival, and made us feel they'd be available to address any issues. In conclusion, this rental undoubtedly helped create a memorable and relaxing trip at world famous Grace Bay. I usually get homesick by the 3rd night, but I felt at home in this unit. We would certainly rent this unit again! Thank you very much for sharing your unit!"

  • A Perfect Vacation!

"Our family of 6 had the most enjoyable week at this private home on Parrot Cay. With a few tweens and a teenager we didn't know if they would have enough to fill their days with. The relationship with the resort gave us the best of both worlds. The resort offered a pool to use, tennis courts with racquets available, a library with computers and a pool table and food that was spectacular. Our family ended up eating most meals at Hodge Lodge because the view was unbeatable. Laying in the porch hammock listening to nature and the kids laughing at the beach was priceless. To wake up in the morning, with a cup of coffee in hand and walk to the water, find sand dollars, and see not a sole was a highlight. The staff was incredibly professional and easy to be around. We would recommend this vacation to anyone of all ages. We can't thank Hodge Lodge for opening their home to renters. We will be back!"
