  • Pleasant Apartment in Convenient Location

"We are a family of four (kids 11 and 13) who stayed in this pleasant and conveniently-located apartment in June and July 2016. The owner, Hans-Jürgen, is attentive, communicative, and professional. It is directly across the street from a station on the U3. If we return to Munich for an extended period in the future (I hope we will!), my first move will be to inquire whether this apartment is available. Here are some more detailed descriptions. SPACE The apartment is light, with a wall of south-facing windows. A door leads to a small private garden with a table (protected from rain and sun by the balcony above). It was plenty spacious for the four of us. The sleeper converts into a sofa bed very easily and the linens have clever storage spaces next to the sofa. In fact, the storage was cleverly arranged throughout with a half dozen closets and chests that easily accommodated a summer's worth of clothing and supplies. The kitchen is properly equipped and the appliances all operated perfectly. The bathroom is large with a full-size tub/shower. The bedroom has plenty of space for two people. Everything is clean and in good working condition. Location The apartment is located in a large building with several courtyards and entrances. It is located, as the pictures show, on the first floor. The apartment is secluded from the street and we found it pleasantly quiet. The neighborhood is quiet as well. Although there is no grocery store right outside, one can walk to a Tengelmann in about 10 minutes or shop at either of the adjacent stops on the U3. There are two restaurants downstairs. The U3 is directly across the street with trains at least every 10 minutes and a 10-minute trip to Marienplatz. A short walk brings you to the Flaucher and its great expanse of walking and biking paths along the Isar. Owner Hans-Jürgen was professional, gracious, and communicative from the beginning to the end. He greeted us upon arrival, gave us a thorough tour of the facilities and its operations, and stayed in touch throughout our stay. He even brought our son muffins on his birthday. Infrastructure The WiFi was strong (easily accommodating four connected devices at once), fast (6-8 mbs down), and reliable. The television has a good selection of channels (mostly, of course, in German). There is a washer and dryer in the basement that was almost always available to us. The appliances all work well and there is ample hot water."

  • Convenient in mumich

"This apartment is very conveniently located in central Munich. We could walk to all the areas or take the metro, which is just outside the door. Main train station is a 15 minute walk away. We felt very secure at this apartment. Owner met us when we arrived. Walked us thru apartment and explained how to use appliances :)."

  • Spacious, modern and centrally located apartment

"We were in this property for over a month and found it to be a great, easy apartment that definitely epitomized the "home away" experience. The bedroom and living areas were large and roomy. Kitchen was easy to prep meals and cook. Pots and cooking utensils were adequate for cooking basic meals. The apartment was clean and well maintained with cleaning appliances that were easy to break out and use (ie. vacuum, broom) Laundry and dryer were right outside of the apartment which was convenient. The apartment was also centrally located with a supermarket right next door, cafes and restaurants nearby. As well as the main central station about 7-10 min away. The only issue we occasionally ran into was that the WiFi was a bit spotty and fritzed out a few times. Also for us, the dance studio downstairs did hold a few dance parties that ran late. One of the parties didn't end until 2 am on a Sunday. We just put on some white noise to help alleviate the party noise. Also just as a note. If you recycle, the building doesn't offer glass recycling, but there are large bins that are around town that you can process your glass bottles and plastics that the supermarket doesn't take. There was one on Elisenstrasse and Lamerstrasse (or around that area). Werner was responsive and tended to our questions and any concerns we had in a prompt manner. Great place to stay for our first trip to Germany!"
