We stayed 3 nights, and enjoyed the rural quiet location. The suite was a great size for two, clean, easy parking and the drive into any of the hill towns and villages was easy. Gwen was a wonderful host she knew the neighborhood and locals villages with suggestions for side trips and places to eat. Would happily stay again.

Peaceful and Relaxing Stay

Four of us enjoyed this cozy, charming house for two weeks. It was clean, well supplied and close to Orvieto which was wonderful. We quickly felt a connection with Simonetta and her family who were welcoming and responsive. The setting was quiet and the view overlooking the valley and Duomo was terrific. A touching, memorable experience.

The perfect mountain retreat in a beautiful small old world Umbrian town.

We stayed four weeks in this beautiful mountain retreat on Mount Subiaso. The two storey stone cottage was very clean with a well equipped kitchen, a plunge pool we used daily, air conditioning and lovely outdoor covered balcony to eat breakfast and admire the sweeping Umbria Valley. There is a 10 to 15 minute drive down the mountain to the old Spello town, but you must have a car, preferably small to negotiate the narrow roads and streets. Our host, Stefano was delightful, very responsive to our needs via WhatsApp and an expert at using Google translate. Spello has excellent restaurants, great mountain walks, an easily accessible supermarket and friendly locals. We will return. Ciao Stefano.

We enjoyed our stay at Terrazzo Paradiso! The rooftop was definitely our favorite part of the apartment, and it is well furnished with a large umbrella. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shops. As stated, the apartment is not air conditioned, but there are ceiling fans, and the house stays pretty cool, even in 90 degree heat (32 C). Everything was very clean, and checking in was a breeze, there are clear instructions for everything. There were no cabs at the train station, so we took the bus (funicular was out of service) up the hill and walked through town to the flat. It was a bit of an uphill walk with suitcases in the heat, so, for convenience, I would advise either calling a cab at the station or taking another city bus once you get into town.

Excellent vacation !

The title "stunning villa" is indeed the correct description of this accomodation, already from arrival you will be overwelmed by the house itself, the large heated swimming pool, and the view over the valley ! It is the perfect location for a relaxing holiday, enjoying tranquility on the top of the hill, alternated with visits to the surrounding small medieval villages or some larger cities such as Perugia, Assisi, ... which are on relatively short distance.(+/- 30-45min drive by car) We enjoyed very much the 2 bedrooms and 2 separate bathrooms, which allowed us, parents, to have our own, nicely organised room, and for our 2 sons to have their own where they had their (more messy at times) organisation :-) The kitchen is fully equipped with all you might need, and very clean, which was the case for the entire house/pool besides. Their is also a nice living room (no TV) but we hardly sat there as it's far more pleasant to sit outside on the veranda or to have quality-familytime. As we have 2 boys of 17-18 years old, WIFI is very important for them, but that was not a problem at all. For those who plan a longer stay, there is also a washing machine, so you can do a quick wash and let your cloths dry in the sun for next use, if you wish to do this of course. The hosts Tessa and Jeremy were also easy reachable and very friendly during booking process/our stay, even though we never met them and all was done on-line (keys could be retrieved from a key-box), but this was definitely not a disadvantage because we simply didn't need to contact them as everything was just perfect. Summarizing : we spent an excellent vacation there !
