  • Fair Fairhope!

"I really enjoyed staying in the Getaway Cottage! It was in a great location and everything was within walking distance. It was the perfect getaway for me and my two other friends. I would stay there again!"

  • Amazing Place and Experience!

"I am sitting here on the deck of this house right now drinking coffee from a French Press pot, and watching terns, gulls, and pelicans fly around while my kids play football on the property, and my wife is baking biscuits in the extremely well-equipped kitchen. We are not supposed to leave until Saturday, but we are going to extend our stay a day, because we are enjoying things so much. I would stay longer, but my kids have to get back to school. I came on the web-site here in order to book my next stay at this wonderful house, and I saw a review from some people who seem to have missed a lot when they stayed here, and I would encourage them to come back to Fairhope, but to do their homework beforehand. Aside from the fact that this is probably the most charming little waterfront house in Fairhope for a family (I think the owner allows up to 6 people), the town of Fairhope itself is so much fun and so interesting. I saw something in that review about a bad restaurant experience, but we have had nothing but good ones. We went to The Wash House, as the owner suggested. It is 4 minutes from the house. We went to Sunset Pointe in town on the yacht basin and had a fantastic meal. We took our kids to the beach in town, and to the awesome park they have with all kinds of playground stuff that even includes spray walls, so you need your bathing suit. We went to a book signing for the book One Good Mama Bone, and went to the Fairhope Craft Beer Brewery. So much to do. We will be back this summer! Thank you for sharing your home!"

  • Hated to leave

"The location is convenient to everything. Vacation seems even more special when you can leave the car parked and walk to the grocery store. After visiting the municipal children's park, the many shops and eateries in Fairhope, the surrounding neighborhoods, the pier and bayside beach, I returned to the Loft to rest on the balcony. It is a great vantage point to watch others walk and bike on the street below. Watching the patrons of the yoga place across the street was also entertaining. I may have to try it next time. I wish I could have stayed much longer."
