  • Wonderful Experience. Made me think back to my days as a child.

"My family always go to Fairhope for an annual reunion. It was my son, daughter, wife, grandchildren and nephew. The house was perfect for our needs and had a wonderful view of the bay. We plan to go again next year and intend to book this house."

  • A beautiful getaway.....

"My wife and I and our two westies were able to spend a few wonderful days at Peppermint Cove. The house is located just outside of Fairhope, just a short 10-15 minute drive to the shopping district or downtown/beach. This is a very quiet stretch of the Scenic Highway if you are looking to get away from it all. We found it very relaxing to sit in the boat house where a nice cooling breeze would keep the temperature at bay. The house is nicely furnished and has everything you need for a week’s stay. We plan on returning to the area again and would put this house at the top of our list of places to stay."

  • Perfect cottage on the river!

"This is a wonderful property inside and out! Everything about the décor is perfect for a waterfront cottage, casual, but nicely upgraded. The screened porch is larger than pictured, and also includes a sitting sofa and a long picnic table. The large, two-level open outbuilding on the river allows for grilling meals or just sitting and relaxing on the river. We took the two-person kayak out daily and I swam in the river. There is a large high-def TV in the living room where we watched movies in the evening. The cottage is about 15 minutes’ drive from downtown Fairhope and Mobile Bay. Fairhope is a pretty town that offers some great restaurants and shopping, an art center, a walkway with fountain along the water and more. We took afternoon and evening strolls there, out onto the piers and along the beach, where swimming in Mobile Bay is also an option. We took a day trip to New Orleans, a little more than three hours’ drive, and to Gulf Shores, about an hour away. A spring getaway with outdoor activities in a warm destination and some southern culture were our goals for this trip. It delivered everything we anticipated. This cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway, a trip for a family of four, or for friends looking for a great vacation in the south. We had read about the history of Fairhope and found this cottage searching Home Away. This was our first trip there, and I believe we were the first guests at the cottage, newly offered this season. We did not meet the owners, but they were very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly via the email correspondence we had with them. I would definitely recommend this property for a lovely vacation!"
