  • Beautiful Property!

"My husband escorted myself, my Mom & my Sister to experience the Redwood Forest. We stayed 4 nights at the Sanctuary. We all Loved this house! The pictures do not do it justice. The property is Beautiful & the Views Breathtaking! The home is very clean & well laid out. We used all three bedrooms each with their own bathroom & very private. We had a fire in the fire pit every night & enjoyed the hot tub in the evening. The house does not have air conditioning so we needed to sleep with the patio door open for a cool breeze. Being from N.Y.C. this was difficult for me. I am a custom to locking windows & doors & putting the air conditioner on & since the doors & windows do not have screens I was worried about critters coming in. However I Loved the fresh breeze & hearing the ocean. My fears quickly went away after the first night. We hiked the Rockefeller Redwood State Park, Patrick's Point, Prairie Creek & visited Trees of Mystery. All were Awesomely Amazing! We ate at the Lighthouse Cafe for lunch & had dinner at Larrupins Restaurant & the Moonstone Grill. All three places had Great People, Service & Food. The rest of the time we cooked at the house. I would Definitely Recommend this home all four of us had a Wonderful Experience! P.S. us dog lovers Absolutely Loved the Orange Cat; who showed us around when we arrived & was waiting for us to return from our daily adventures! Thank you!!"

  • Comfortable, pet friendly house

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We found the Parker Creek house to be comfortable and exceptionally clean inside for a pet friendly rental. It was perfect for our 2 dogs who loved the yard and covered wrap around deck!! The location is convenient to beach access as well as little town center. The only thing I would suggest is window coverings in the bedroom that give a bit more privacy, perhaps the option of blinds for more/less window coverage. Thanks for a nice rental experience!!!"

  • We keep coming back

"We almost hate to recommend Redwood Haven, lest the fact that it’s an incredible bargain get around and the calendar become more crowded than it is now. We just finished our fifth stay, with every visit more enjoyable than the last. The cottage is funky, charming, scrupulously neat and clean. The stairs to the bedroom loft are narrow and steep, but a couple (or the little kids) can avoid the stairs by sleeping on the very comfortable downstairs futon. The site is spectacular if you’re looking for woods and greenery and privacy (some highway noise during the day, but it drops off at night). The hot tub is a lovely amenity; and there’s a wood stove, wifi, satellite TV and a small but nicely equipped kitchen. Unless you have to have an ocean view, or room for more than 4 people, or luxury furnishings, I’m not sure why any other vacation property in the area qualifies as competition."

  • As advertised , Great simple cottage near the Redwood Parks

"Forest Haven was exactly what my Girlfriend and I were looking for while on a romantic getaway up to the Redwood Parks of Northern California. The cottage was clean and private and centrally located to the hiking trails we most wanted to check out (i.e. Patricks Point, Prairie Creek, etc.). The hot tub was little bit of a older model but in perfect working order, a great way to end the day. The kitchen area was great: the stove top and oven worked well , there were plenty of pots and pans for cooking. The market down the road is a full service "supermarket" and we found everything we needed for delicious meals at home there. The Propane grill in the yard was brand new. The wood burning stove keep the place toasty warm and the bed was extremely comfortable. You CAN hear the rooster in the morning but he is far enough away that we didn't find it problematic for sleeping in, and thought it added to the "country charm", as well getting a visit from the roaming pack of chickens while we drank coffee in the front yard every morning. The cottage immediately felt like home. I would highly recommend Forest Haven to friends looking for a affordable private country getaway. Its not the Ritz Carlton but its cozy and close to beach and Parks and all a couple or small family should need for a few days checking out this amazing park of the country."
