  • Beautiful rustic cabin. Perfect for a romantic getaway.

"We had a wonderful, rejuvenating experience for 5 days by the Russian River. The cabin is very much like a cozy tree house perched on top of a hill. There are 2 cabins connected by a wooden stairway. A smaller one with a captain's bed and a bathroom and a larger space with kitchen, living and dining area. Windows look out on tall trees all around you. There is a large wrap around deck that feels completely private with views of the trees and hillside. There is even an outdoor shower for rinsing off after river adventures. I felt like I was in an organic shampoo commercial showering in the middle of a forest! We loved the rustic feel of the wooden cabin complete with a wood burning stove. As many reviewers have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs to climb and getting back and forth from the driveway will get your heart rate up. And no TV or internet access. But we felt it was well worth it for the magical feeling you get of being high up among the trees. The cabin is also a 3 minute drive from town and only a 5 minute walk from the river itself. I would highly recommend this place as a romantic getaway or a fun cabin to share with a small group of friends."

  • As Advertised and More

"Clearly, Bryan and Richard love their life and their homes, I'm so glad they share Side-by-Side. You'll sleep well on the wonderful beds, get prepared well in the well appointed bathrooms and if so inclined cook to you hearts content in the beautiful kitchen. We couldn't have asked for a better base for our week-long trip to the Sonoma Valley. We were an hour from Napa, 25 minutes from the ocean , 5 minutes from Armstrong woods, and literally on the edge of the Sonoma wine country. I could reiterate the kudos others have given Bryan and Richard and their property, but I won't bore you. Just read a couple and know that I say ditto to all the rave reviews!"

  • One word.... AMAZING!!

"This house was so amazing!! We had 9 people in our group and there was more than enough room for everyone to relax and have fun. The children (4 of them age ranging from 16 - 12) basically had their own wing! 2 twin beds and a set of bunk beds and a big screen t.v., leather sectional, their own bathroom and kitchenette! The dinning room was big enough to fit our family with out having to bring extra tables in, which is rare for us. LOVED the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, all you can hear are the birds, wildlife and the wind through the trees. It was also really nice to be close to Armstrong Woods. To walk through with these tall giants was amazing. We would all stay here again."
