  • Russian River Weekend

"Our stay at Casa Rossa was very relaxed and comfortable. We spent a great deal of time outdoors and thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding redwoods, playing ping pong, and relaxing. The location is very close to downtown Guerneville which is great. The house is nicely updated and everything felt clean and comfortable. The property manager is friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back!"

  • How to run away from home . . .

"I don't have enough accolades to explain the brilliance and perfection of our experience at Sabor Mexicano. First, each room is individually climate-controlled. Second, everyone has their own bathroom. Third, the common space is PERFECT for family gatherings; long dining table, large sectional, cook's kitchen, multi-layered patios lit with fairy lights. Comfort? We spent a small fortune on our organic foam mattress at our home, the Murphy bed at Sabor Mexicano is more divine. The kitchen is well-stocked. The redwoods are walking distance. They have chickens. Dozens. They are so clean and healthy and happy, you won't believe it. Don't worry, you can't hear the rooster in the morning. They have adorable goats. The style of this modern farmhouse is noteworthy; genius coffee station, impeccable tile work, gorgeous glass doors, reclaimed wood trim, coffee table books wrapped with colorful, braided cords. And, if you have a chance, please do yourselves a favor and hire Chef Jorge to cook for you and your gathering. Let him do what he's inspired to do. You won't soon forget it (and you'll thank me). We had 4 generations for the New Year. Both sides of our family. I'm so grateful to Carmina and Jorge for sharing their Haven. Truly unforgettable."

  • Gorgeous Even in the Winter!

"This was our second stay at the Sequoia House, but our first time in the Winter. And it was lovely! The cabin was stocked with firewood and kindling to heat the place up and make the cabin feel cozy. We had a wonderful time looking at all the redwoods through the skylights and hunkering down for some serious chill time! Again, the Browns were gracious hosts, and really made us feel welcome. Such a wonderful place and hosts!"

  • Great Home with Fabulous Outdoor Space

"My husband and I along with 2 other couples came for wine tasting in the Russian River Valley area. We wanted to rent a home vs hotel rooms so we could enjoy our down time in a space together. This home offered us relaxing mornings enjoying coffee and conversation in the many sitting areas within the home. Had the weather cooperated there were several other fabulous sitting areas outside in the awesome yard space. Our days were filled with wine tours and after checking into the house on our first day we unanimously agreed we wanted our evenings to be spent back at the house because of it's comfortable atmosphere inside and out along with its fabulous outdoor space. We cooked several dinners at the home and were even able to enjoy eating outside on the patio the one evening that the weather cooperated. Each evening was topped off in the relaxing hot tub. We only ventured into the pool once due to the colder weather and choosing not to have the pool heated for our stay. BRRRRR, it was a cold/quick swim! The pictures you see on the website are exactly what you get. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to have 'multiple cooks in the kitchen'! The herb garden gave our homemade pasta sauce some extra flavor along with some of the dried spices in the cupboard. The 2 bedrooms with king beds are very spacious with the 3rd bedroom having a queen bed and being a bit smaller yet comfortable. All three bedrooms have large closets with some hangers and are upstairs sharing 1 hallway bathroom. Not ideal for 3 couples to share but manageable. My husband and I ended up primarily using the bathroom/laundry room space off the kitchen to get ready each day and night. It worked just fine (better than 6 adults sharing 1 bathroom upstairs). A 2nd patio area off the kitchen and fire pit are located in the sideyard and would have been thoroughly enjoyed had it not rained 3 out of our 4 nights stay. Chris, the owner, was excellent to work with prior to our vacation and during our vacation when a few questions came up. We had a delightful stay and would definitely return to this property when in the area again. On a sightseeing note: touring wineries was wonderful with many to choose from in the area but you must also visit the Armstrong Redwood Forest which is just a short 10 minute car ride from the house along with driving along the coast on Hwy 1 (we combined both into a day trip with lunch at Lucas Wharf in Bodega Bay). Looking forward to returning!"
