  • Relaxation and Beauty

"We had a marvelous time staying at Rose Covered Cottage. The front porch area was so beautiful that we brought meals in so we could eat them there rather than going out and missing the time at the Cottage. The Cottage was well appointed and supplied with all necessities. There are many adventures to be had with this as a base. We went hiking amongst the Redwoods, swimming in the Russian River, driving the scenic roads and touring wineries. The owner was so warm and helpful."

  • A fantastic Girls' Weekend at Garden Haiku!

"We had a great stay this weekend at Garden Haiku. The house is comfortably furnished, the kitchen is well stocked (bring plastic wrap/foil and extra paper goods) and the grounds are beautiful! Town is just a minute's drive up the road in one direction with Safeway right there and Armstrong Woods is just a minute up the road in the other direction. We loved our stay here and look forward to returning! Thank you Amanda & John for sharing your home with us."

  • Delightful!

"Absolutely amazing! Being surrounded by this beautiful forest and sleeping to the sounds of the babbling creek had such a peaceful and relaxing experience. I also loved the kitchen and the landscaping. I don't want to leave! Spent time going for runs and loved the hills for extra sprints - Armstrong park makes for excellent hiking and only approx. 4 miles away and kayaking locations available along the Russian river everywhere. Great place for sports and then a wonderful place to come back and relax in."

  • A great spot!

"We actually stayed in this charming house in for 3 nights in June of 2015, but the review site would not back-date our arrival. (Just a tad late getting this review together...) We were greeted by Richard and Bryan who gave us the house tour along with champagne & banana bread. They are wonderful and attentive hosts! We would not hesitate to recommend this house or it's location. The house is clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. The neighborhood is "quirky" in the most positive California way, and the trees are amazing. Very quiet. We would definitely stay here again Main Street is a quick drive away. We highly recommend trying boon eat+drink (eatatboon.com) for dinner and the Coffee Bazaar (off the end of Main St) for coffee/tea + breakfast goodies in the morning (coffeebazaar.com). They also serve light lunch. We had a glass of wine at Chef Patrick's (chefpatricks.com) and the menu looked tasty. Check out Nimble & Finn's for ice cream and pie (nimbleandfinns.com). There's a redwood forest about 10 minutes from the house that we were told is pretty amazing but we didn't have time to check it out. Healdsburg is only 30-35 away, a great town with lots to look at, great restaurants and MANY tasting rooms! Make sure to stop in @ Roadhouse, Portalupi, Banshee & Topel."
