  • Tranquil

"We have a family of 6 so it's not always easy to find affordable places to stay. This far exceeded our expectations. Was well kept, quiet, and the fully stocked kitchen was great. We loved sitting out on the porch at night and taking in the scenery. With a 9, 10, 12, and 13 year old this place was exactly what we wanted with our trip. There's no wifi so it forced the kids to put down the electronics and enjoy each other and the outdoors around us. We will definitely be looking to stay here again when we make our next trip! Big bonus seeing that Pat and Spike have roots in Iowa where we are from, so really enjoyed doing business with a fellow Iowan."

  • What a Grand View

"Pictures on the web don't do it justice. The view and this home are incredible. We loved our stay here, all the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. Having 2 living rooms let the kids enjoy their time in one area and adults in the other when needed. No TV's in the bedrooms which is great so no one is hibernating while on vacation. The Sonos sound system is awesome. The kitchen is a little tight, but we made it work one chef at a time. We had 5 adults and 2 teenage kids and this place fit us perfectly. It's an easy hike down to town, a little tougher on the way back because of the hill but good exercise in the morning. Grand lake is a great little town with lots of charm. I stressed about picking a place to stay in Grand Lake, everyone was happy I picked this one."

  • cute condo

"We arrived about 25 minutes before the 3pm check in and the housekeeper had not shown up. I called the owner and he was quick to respond back to me and get the problem solved, but still did not get in the condo until about 6 pm. That is the only negative thing I have to say, and really no fault of the owner. Once in the condo it is very comfortable, it was clean, and very tastefully decorated. Everything in good working order. The condo is very close to town, the lakes, and RMNP. We had 2 couples and it was perfect for our stay. I noticed in a closet they had toys for families with small children. I highly recommend staying on the Grand Lake side. It is much quieter, less traffic, the town is very cute and has several good places to eat. The elk in the park were really active. We really wanted to see a moose but no luck. We went in October 2016."

  • Modern log home in quiet setting

"Lana was quick to reply to e-mails with questions I asked and booking was easy and fast. We loved the location of this rental on Columbine Lake. Easy walk around the lake with lots of mule deer, one bull moose, otters and ospreys. At the house we enjoyed the hummingbirds, red fox, chipmunks and mule deer that visited frequently. The house was great for 10 adults, although one couple did have to retreat to the kids bunk room. One bathroom one each floor worked out great for us. The house was fully equipped with everything needed for cooking, lots of silverware, plates and mugs for that early morning coffee. The house was clean and sheets, blankets and towels were plentiful. We only ate out twice, Grand Pizza and Sagebrush Grill. Both excellent values! The location was perfect, close to town and close to the west entrance to RMNP. Close enough we took an elk viewing drive every night and they did not disappoint. We rented ATV's at On the Trail Rentals, close to west entrance of RMNP, for four hours which was a blast. Lots of hiking trails for the avid hiker. We drove over to the Este Park side twice. The hike around Bear Lake and Sprague were absolutely beautiful. We had perfect weather and made lots of memories with great friends. Thank you Lana for sharing your beautiful home."
