  • Beautiful Vacation Getaway

"We had an amazing time. The cabin was clean and rustic, our family and our dog had a blast following the huge herd of Elk through the neighborhood, and we can't wait to come back and stay again soon."

  • Breathtaking Views in a Cozy Home!

"This home is absolutely the very best way to experience Colorado! From the moment you step into the door - this place is perfect! We were greeted by Judy - a very friendly neighbor that showed us around and answered "start up" questions. The cabin (large home) couldn't have been more inviting. We absolutely loved every aspect of the home and all of the surroundings. There's nothing like the feel of a log home, and this is by far one of the coziest we have experienced. Every room was well-equipped and decked out with all of the traditional furnishings one would expect. Our family of nine adults wanted for nothing during our four-night stay . . . other than wanting to stay a few more nights. The kitchens were well-equipped, as well as the remainder of the home. We were oftentimes torn between being outside and enjoying nature or staying inside to enjoy the homey, warm feel of the cabin - complete with two wood-burning fireplaces. The lake was beautiful, and we certainly did our share of peddling the peddle boat around the lake. The canoe was fun, and a couple of us tried the paddle boards, even though the lake was very cold! We were able to catch (and release) a beautiful rainbow trout to add to our photo collection of "first-time experiences." We weren't lucky enough to see a moose or an elk (and we know they had to be around), but we heard the wolves and coyotes late into the evening. While on the lake, you had 360 degree, breathtaking views of the mountains. We ventured into the town of Grand Lake. The town felt like you were in an old, western movie - complete with boardwalk sidewalks. The town is situated directly on beautiful Grand Lake with beautiful views of the mountains. We each painted a rock for the rock collection and enjoyed all of the outdoor amenities - especially both fire pits! Thank you to the Gilmore family for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy your cozy home!"

  • Lovely cabin with a wonderful view of the lake.

"Very comfortable and well-equipped property in a terrific location. Everything was clean and the kitchen was very spacious with a wide assortment pots, pans, spices and utensils. Beds are comfortable. We spent a relaxing weekend watching the snow fall over the lake, cooking lots of food and watching some old favorite movies that were available in the cabin."
