  • Tranquil

"We have a family of 6 so it's not always easy to find affordable places to stay. This far exceeded our expectations. Was well kept, quiet, and the fully stocked kitchen was great. We loved sitting out on the porch at night and taking in the scenery. With a 9, 10, 12, and 13 year old this place was exactly what we wanted with our trip. There's no wifi so it forced the kids to put down the electronics and enjoy each other and the outdoors around us. We will definitely be looking to stay here again when we make our next trip! Big bonus seeing that Pat and Spike have roots in Iowa where we are from, so really enjoyed doing business with a fellow Iowan."

"What a comfortable home for a Grand Lake get away. It was furnished for comfort, and lake recreation. Thank you!"

  • beautiful view!

"We loved the location of the house. Everything inside was clean and maintained nicely. The only thing we were disappointed in was a supply of games. We were traveling by plane so unable to bring too much with us and we would have liked more games to play in the evening. Minor thing when you consider all the outdoor beauty to enjoy!"

  • Great Getaway for Family Fun

"We love this property. It's located on the private and secluded eastern shore of Grand Lake, with terrific views and short walk to a great hiking trail. The kitchen-dining-living room space is all open, which makes meal prep and serving an easy and collaborative activity for a large family. The home is a little rustic, and the carpet and plumbing is badly stained, but it is comfortable and relaxing. The large fireplace in the living room really works-- it throws out great heat on chilly Colorado nites. Our kids had a great time, and our labrador could not have been happier. We'll be back!"
