"This was our second stay at Scott's magnificent home! Once again we were not disappointed with our experience and the home! It was perfect for a relaxing, stay-cation! We enjoyed all that Grand Lake had to offer in the off season and quite a few games of chess at the kitchen island! We cannot wait for another chance to visit!"

  • Colorado River at your doorstep !

"The view does not get much better than this! The cabin is comfortable and has everything you need! A warning that the 2nd bedroom is not connected and if you have young children (13 or younger) they may freak out being in own cabin!) . The internet did not work! We tried to call and did not get any support to resolve the problem. The cabin could of used a deep cleaning, cobwebs and dust all around. Overall, it had rustic charm that can't be beat! The fire pit by the river made for wonderful memories!"

  • Perfect for family! (6 kids from 3-15 yrs old)

"Our family of 8 goes on a big vacation every other year. My husband grew up spending his summers in Grand Lake and wanted to share that experience with our kids this year. We had an amazing time! The house was perfect for our family. Here our some pros and cons: Pros - The house is close to everything but not too close. We were within walking distance of all Grand Lake had to offer but not so close that we felt surrounded by tourists. The house is spacious and perfect for large families. We had lots of deer around the house and our departure was delayed on the last day because of 3 large bull moose walking around!! The Jacuzzi in the master bedroom was wonderful and the deck offered AMAZING views. Definitely check out and write in the visitors book at the house. We enjoyed reading all the entries! Cons - the cons were very few and far between! The kitchen was lacking enough cups for everyone and there were no baking pans/cookie sheets for the oven. The weather was perfect and we did and recommend the follow activites: Rocky Mountain National Park - Lots of wild life, short hikes good for all ages (Lake Irene was beautiful), Continental Divide, Hike to the highest point in the park! If you have a 4th grader be sure to get their FREE national park pass on line, it will get your whole car in for FREE! Go karts! - Go kart track is just across the street from the house. Perfect evening activity and very reasonably priced. Rented a boat for 4 hours on Grand Lake! We were able to fish and relax on the water for an afternoon. We rented through Grand Lake Marina. Traveled to Winter Park for the Alpine Slide. This was a little pricey with 6 kids but well worth it. A HUGE hit with ALL of them!! Horse Back Riding - The stables across from the house are closed. We traveled to the Snow Mountain YMCA and went on a 2 hour trail ride at Sombrero Ranch. The guides were both fun and knowledgeable. Great for riders of all experience levels. Adams Fall hike in Grand Lake. Easy hike and beautiful pictures and scenery. We had deer eating just a few feet from us! We did lots of fishing but with NO luck. My 12 yr old had studied up on trout fishing and bought some special equipment for the trip. He finally caught a brown trout on our last night there. We ate at Grand Lake Pizza, Sagebrush BBQ & Grill and Sloopy's. All were decently priced and very good."

  • Wonderful Anniversary Trip

"We rented this cabin to celebrate our anniversary. I could not have been more pleased. This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was very clean and the views of the lakes and the mountains from the large windows and deck were breathtaking. We explored the town of Grand Lake and it was very charming. We also rented a Pontoon Boat at Beacons Marina to explore Lake Granby. We had a great time, but we always looked forward to going back to the cabin. We really enjoyed making smores at the outdoor firepit. We can't wait to go back again!!"
