"Cottontail Cottage is a haven for peace and quiet if you need it. The minute you walk into the door you feel like the house envelopes you in a hug, you sense the peace in the house and the views are gorgeous. The owners have done beautiful job of decorating the interior with everything you might need. The house has three bedrooms which are lovely and the two baths are filled with bathe and shower. A bath is wonderful after a full day of hiking the mountains in the area. There are books on the shelves along with games for the family and lots of wood for a fire on a cold windy day. The location is central to Clayton, GA, Franklin, TN., Highlands, NC and so many other places. The kitchen has everything you need and is beautifully decorated, for those nights you just want to stay in and this house is so warm and welcoming there are many days we did just that. I highly recommend this house for couples and families. You will not go wrong staying here. We come back here as often as we can, Peter and Debbie will take great care you."

  • Relaxing Lake Stay

"My husband and I brought his parents on a lake getaway. This property was perfect! The house is well appointed and set in a calm cove. We spent most of our time sitting under the trees overlooking the lake. I can only imagine how beautiful it is here when the leaves change colors in the Fall. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals during our stay. It even has a choice of two outdoor grills! Clayton is close by, providing a choice of restaurants and charming shops. The owner made renting this house a breeze. I would definitely return!"

"Beautifully appointed home, each room lovingly and uniquely decorated with lots of personal touches. Kitchen is well supplied for all your cooking needs. Welcome basket was an excellent surprise as we arrived very late in the evening. Special amenities that we did not expect but took advantage of were fire pit by lake for toasting marshmallow while using the pedal boat, bikes, fishing poles and a wonderful warm hot tub. Everything you could possibly need including a barbecue grill. Would come again and recommend to all my family and friends. Great location a couple of minutes off the main roads but quiet and serene. Very close to all the fun that the mountains have to offer. Thanks for the use of such a beautiful home away from home. We will definitely be back."

  • Bachelor’s Weekend

"The soon to be groom requested a get away but not a typical bachelor's party. We all like to fly fish and wanted to white water raft near by. There were six of us ages 38-68. The overall property was well groomed, this home was well built and in perfect condition. The house is positioned on a mountainside with a bucolic view from the upper deck. The upper deck was partially covered with Adirondack chairs and two Weber grills. We spend a lot of time out on the deck. The lower deck had a nice size hot tub. with the same view. We all like to cook and most of our meals were at the home so we used the kitchen a lot. All the appliances, dishes and utensils were clean and in almost new condition. The bedrooms and beds were very clean and comfortable. Bath rooms had great water pressure and very hot water. living area upstairs and downstairs had nice furniture and TV's all worked. We were only a few miles from town, an easy ride, plenty of stores and restaurants. The best part , there is very limited cell service . The wi-fi worked fine but it sort of forced us to disconnect. This can be a strange feeling for the first two days but we got over it pretty quick. There are board games, perfect way to disconnect your children from the WWW grid without hiking into the deep woods. I highly recommend this property, good for a family with extended friends."
