  • Prime location

"The cabin is located a short drive from shopping and tourist areas. There are steep slopes on the property that could be cumbersome to any who have knee or back problems, are elderly or very young. There is no central AC or heat. No cell phone service. There is one queen bed and a twin bed in the loft. In the other bedroom is one twin bed. The faux couch is an air sofa that turns into a bed, but is cold and uncomfortable. The blow up air mattress is not conducive to a good night sleep. Come prepared. Cabin lacks storage, so if you plan to stay a week or more it can be difficult. Main commode needs repair for flushing. You have to manually release the water. Cabin lacks outlets. Overlooking these, you will have a great time. Plenty to do, 4-wheeler, wi-fi, TV, games, fire pits, agricultural area. Long walks, pet friendly. If you plan to tour daily, the cabin is a good choice. Do not let the weather stop you. Fog lifts and drizzle ends. We have been coming to this area for more than 20 years. You will always find something new to do and create fond memories. Local land line available."

"We had a fantastic stay!!! We wish we would of stayed longer!! The cabin is absolutely beautiful. Very clean and has everything you need!! Our kids loved the downstairs with the bunk beds and pool table. The beds were very comfortable. We also enjoyed the hot tub. We look forward to staying again!! This cabin is also very close to the cute town of Helen. Definitely a 5 star cabin!!!!"

  • Location, location, location

"This is very close to Helen, but you feel like you're on your own private mountain. We loved the privacy and views as we watched the sun come up over the mountains. Not being used to mountains, the road up to it was a little scary at first. The cabin was spacious and comfortable, but could use some updating. It was great having two kitchens. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

  • Great cozy relaxing rustic cabin getaway

"We just visited this cozy, rustic, and artfully furnished cabin for the second time. The first time, it was just my wife and I. It's the perfect retreat to unplug (though it does have internet and 2 small TVs with directTV . I did have a verizon 4g signal there.) This trip, our second visit, we brought our little kids- who bunked together in the second bedroom. We enjoyed a weekend trip where we had no agenda except rest and quality family time. The cabin is in a great location, directly across the street from LaPrade's marina and the lake. The kitchen is very well equipped and it was awesome to grill some steaks on the Big Green Egg! The kids enjoyed running around in the back yard and exploring the gentle creek that passes through the front. Fred, the owner, was very responsive and made sure all our needs were met. After our first visit, he even mailed me my book that I had left."
