  • Lovely home

"Just spent 4 nights at this property for a family reunion of 14! The house was beautiful! Basement was perfect for the teenagers! Lots of sleeping room . Loved the porch! Only thing the kitchen was not equipped for large family cooking, needed bigger pots and better frying pans and the grill was very small and was missing the covers for the burners! We had to end up putting our chilcken in the over and luckly we had brought a cheap lg bread pan ! if you go you need to really check out the area for activities because other than Patties Settlement and an ice cream shop and one small very expensive grocery store you will be driving a long way!"

  • Wonderful family vacation spot!

"We were looking for a place to have our first family vacation with our adult children and new granddaughter and this was the perfect home to pick! We had never been to the area and were so happy with how beautiful the lake, land, and scenery were, and to top it off with such a beautiful home to use as our base was wonderful. We would recommend renting their boat, so easy to use, and so convenient. Easy to get to the dock since there is a concrete sidewalk. One day had sunrise, brunch, afternoon and sunset cruises! Marina was close to get gas and other supplies for boating. Groceries just a short 15 minute drive to town. Sister in law and her family came later in the week staying at the resort next door. Couldn't have been more convenient for us to hang together. We are already talking about next year! Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!😎"

  • Quiet, spacious retreat

"We stayed recently with our two teenage sons and this house worked out just as we hoped. There was plenty of space and everyone had their own retreat space since the layout of the bedrooms is very spread out. It's very quiet and peaceful so there were occasional wildlife encounters we found interesting (beavers, deer and lots of large birds). We explored the beach, built a fire in the fire pit and just watched the boats go by from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Beth and Jamie put a binder together with recommendations for what to do in the surrounding area and had local guide booklets on hand which was very helpful in planning our day trips. We liked the fact that the area isn't overdeveloped, but there were plenty of unique activities that helped us connect and have fun together. Having such a comfortable waterfront house surrounded by nature to come back to each evening made for a wonderful get away."

  • Beautiful home with lots of room for everyone but be aware of the steps leading down to the lake.

"We just returned from our week long stay at Catfish Cove and the home is truly a treasure. Six lovely bedrooms and 4 bathrooms was just right for our group of 12. I don't think there was anything that we needed/wanted that was not furnished AND the Bunn Ice Tea Maker was wonderful. The location is quiet and we saw a mother doe and her twin fawns feeding outside the house. There are 2 screened in porches and a wonderful swing set that our younger grandchildren enjoyed. The only tricky thing is navigating the 100 steps leading down to the covered 2 slip dock. The steps are made of wood and do not set level with the ground so you need to watch your footing and they become slippery after a rain. We had 2 slips during the week. That being said: Catfish Cove served us well! A big Thank You to Jayme, our contact for the week: quick responses to all of our questions."
