  • Lazy Bear Lodge Feels Like Home! (I would give it 100 stars if I could!)

"We planned a cabin fever couples weekend in March to the Saugatuck area and spent it at the Lazy Bear Lodge on Goshhorn Lake. When we arrived we had a very high expectation and yet we were truly blown away by the perfection of the cabin home itself and its location to town. The cabin itself is gorgeous and immaculately clean!! I cannot stress that enough. It is a knotty pine log home that is both beautifully appointed, very well maintained and unbelievably comfortable. It has all of the amenities you could want including sheets, blankets and towels which from our experiences in the past are not a given. The cabin sits on a nice piece of property on Goshhorn Lake with a great dock to sit on and relax with a glass of wine while you enjoy the view.. The cabin is spacious with 3 floors to enjoy, a kitchen with everything you need, 3 bedrooms upstairs and a large finished basement with sleeping options, a washer and dryer, and a TV with cable. The main floor area has a very large living room, dining area with very comfortable furniture as well as a field stone natural wood fireplace. It has 2.5 baths and the 2 full baths are large with either a sunken bathtub and a separate single shower or a double shower. The whole time we were there we felt we were tucked away in the woods yet we were just a few miles from everything. We really used our time to relax and enjoy the cabin but ate our dinners out. We would highly recommend The Everyday People Cafe in Douglas and Salt of the Earth in Fennville for dinner and The Farmhouse Deli in Douglas for breakfast or lunch. For beer lovers, we went to the Saugatuck Brewery as well. Lazy Bear Lodge and its surroundings were perfect for us in every way. We would both visit again in a heartbeat and give it the highest recommendation to others."

  • Exactly what we wanted!

"This was our first time renting a beach cottage, and it was everything we'd hoped for. The cottage is really charming, authentic and comfortable. You get the sense a lot of memories have been made here. The photos represent it well. The photos can't do justice to the location and views though. Wow. Stunning. From any spot -- the deck, the dune, the beach -- it's picture perfect. We made a nightly event of curling up with blankets and popcorn on the deck and watching the sun set. Better than a movie. Also, the owners are very gracious and readily available (though nothing came up). And I appreciate that we could bring our dog, as I noticed most cottages aren't pet friendly. Highly recommend!"

  • Get away to the beach

"Our recent stay at Beach House in Holland was one of the nicest visits to the area we have had. The house met all our needs; kitchen well equipped and made good use of the grill. Having two outdoor areas to relax and visit was appreciated. Our days started and ended on the beach! The sunsets were beautiful and we enjoyed visiting with local residents. Shops in town were nice and the local farmers market was a hit. Would plan this visit again!"
