  • Wonderful Cottage

"Such a wonderful, cozy and quiet cottage - close to the state park and all things Holland. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay close to the water. Thanks for everything!"

  • charming house in a great location for the Tulip Festival

"It's a great location, just a few blocks from the Civic Center where much of the Tulip Festival activities are. It's a charming house and well maintained with some modern upgrades and appliances. The owner is very prompt and helpful with communications. The whole experience worked well for us. There is a spiral staircase between the first and second floors. It's an architectural "centerpiece" and no problem for us. But for older guests, it could be difficult since the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms and on the second floor."

  • Good location and value for a group

"My family of 9 adults and 1 child stayed at HHBH early Aug. 2016. The location was good for all lake activity-close to the state park for lots of beach time and we were near the marina where we docked our sail boat. Neighborhood was quiet and well kept. Things we really liked: Great location, great common space. It was nice to have 3 bathrooms, hammock, fire pit and grill. The house was very clean and linens (and towels!!) were provided. Owners kept us up to date on current events in Holland which was great. Lots of parking in the driveway was great for our large group and garage access was a bonus! Couple of things to consider: The kitchen was well stoked with plates, cups, bowls, and cutlery but lacking a bit in pots/pans and baking pans. The sofa bed seemed to be broken so we had to use an air mattress we brought instead. The internet was a bit unreliable (we were mostly on vacation but occasionally someone had to check in with work and the internet box needed a reboot). Bunk beds were like dorm room style futon bed but we slept well enough. Overall we had a lovely stay in Holland !"

  • Fabulous Fall vacation

"Having a great time here at the lake this fall. The leaves are changing and the temperature is dropping. We are having cozy evenings with the fireplace on. Fishing and canoeing are keeping us active during the day. We have discovered fantastic dining in Saugatuck and Douglas. The shopping is fun too. Worth a trip to Holland and Kalamazoo to hit the farmers markets. Some of the best I have ever seen. Love shopping at Meijers for just about everything. We seem to go every other day for something or another. The song birds at the feeder the pesky squirrels kept us entertained. The house and the amenities are top notch. Ideal for up to 4 couples or large family get togethers. The dune rides are just down the road. We seem to find ourselves walking to Dairy Dayz ice cream quite often, excellent quality and HUGE servings. The most popular ice cream in Saugatuck."
