  • Our California to Lake Michigan Family Vacation

"Our 10 member family traveled to Sun and Sea Cottage to give our kids and grand kids the experience they never had before moving to California when they were six and under. House was comfortable, well equipped for good cooking and sleeping our large group. The proximity to the beach was great, a quick 5 minute walk! Plenty to do in the area...walking for ice cream was one of our favorite daytime excursions. We were joined by our Michigan family who stayed in the nearby State Campground. The house has a lot of charm which made it homey and comfortable. We loved the decks for our extended large group visiting too. Thank you!"

  • Sweet little cottage with the perfect private association beach

"Mike was very helpful in preparing for the stay, and the cottage was ideal for our needs. The beach is simply gorgeous and very easy to get to from the cottage."

  • First Time Holland Renters

"This was the first time my family and I decided to rent a cottage in Holland for the week. The location of the cottage, on the northern bluff overlooking Lake Macatawa and walking distance to Lake Michigan, is very convenient. One can walk to the beach, the General Store, nearby restaurants, and to a boating dock down the road for kayaking or paddle boarding. The bike trail passes in front of the cottage if you want to bike around the area. The cottage itself is very clean and stocked with almost everything you will need. The decor and look of the 1890's-built house adds to the feel of "going back to a simpler more relaxed time". The view from the screened-in porch is perfect for morning coffee. Jim (the landlord) is only two doors down and always available if we had any questions or needed anything. I would definitely stay here again and may consider this the start of an annual tradition."

  • Great place

"The Staterooms are ideal for boat owners because they are located next to the marina on Lake Macatawa. You can bring your boat, rent a slip and be on the water in minutes. Or you can ride your bike down to the beach in about 10 minutes on the bike path. There is also a pool and a party store which has liquor, wine, beer, soft drinks and food. There are several good restaurants nearby. The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and pleasant. The appliances, TV and wireless worked well. The deck was very nice and private so even though the view was nothing special we sat out there quite a bit. We had a nice time."
