  • Great spring-time retreat

"My husband and I stayed for the entire month of March 2016. The location was great -- minutes to the amenities of ABQ, but in an area with small farms and ranches, giving the feel of a rural environment. We are avid cyclists and the house was convenient to a trailhead of the Paseo del Bosque trail, which stretches for miles along the Rio Grande. The house was exceptionally well equiped, with everything we needed for an extended stay. The house was a good size for the two of us. We were also were able to host my sister and her husband for a few days. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio with the spring flowers in the garden and the blossoming trees. On cool nights it was nice to sit by the fireplace in the large, well-furnished living room. Bill and Janislee were the perfect hosts, attentive to our questions, but giving us privacy. We have put this house on our "favorites" list and plan to return in the future."

  • Great Rental Home!

"This was a great property for my family and I. Albuquerque is a good halfway point between my wife and I and our families, so we met in the middle for a long weekend. We brought our 4-wheeler along and spent a day riding in the national forest (only an hour away). We found that we could ride right the the property out into the dessert. We went on a number of rides exploring the dessert and riding down to the Rio Grande. The owners were great to work with and had the house stocked with everything we needed. The location was close to shopping and it was easy to get to the highway so we could explore the town. We are already considering another stay sometime next year."

  • A great house

"I am always suspect of a house that only gets 5 star reviews, but here I am, giving it a 5 star review. I would definitely stay here again. The house was clean and well kept. It was also pleasantly furnished with plenty of linens. There were only 4 adults, but it was perfect, because we each had our own bedroom, and space. With three baths and a spacious home we had more room than we needed. As the only female., I took the "west wing" where the kids room and family room are. The guys took the other three bedrooms. The master had a king, one other bedroom had a king, 3rd bedroom had 2 queens. The bunk room slept 6, and there was a kids TV room in addition to the family room and formal living room. The kitchen was well stocked and I was a able to cook without any trouble. I also was able to do my laundry before departing, with the washer/dryer conveniently located in the kitchen. I enjoyed the property and the farm animals since I live in Houston where we don't have animals. The dogs and cats on the property were friendly, and the owner was very accommodating. There is plenty of outdoor space, and I can see this property as a great place for a family reunion. The kids would have a ball! We had someone who was not able to walk very far, and needed a wheelchair. We were able to get him in through the family room door, and there were only 2 steps to the kitchen and main level, which he was able to negotiate. The house had beds to sleep 14 without anyone on a couch."

  • Wonderful place to stay!

"The Casita was very cozy, clean, and perfect for entertaining my son and his girlfriend. It was situated in a nice neighborhood. I had a small problem with lighting and the situation was quickly resolved. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with towels. There were plenty of pots and pans for cooking and dishes for serving. I was able to save lots of eating-out cost by preparing meals at the Casita. The only negative was that the Casita did get a little warm in the afternoons. There appeared to be a control for a swamp cooler that I wasn't sure how to turn on, so I was able to use a fan in the window to cool it down some. I would definitely stay here again."
