  • Quiet and Spacious

"To call this a 'cottage' is understating what awaits...it's so much more. When we arrived and entered the front door, I was confused at first, wondering if I had misunderstood the description and we were actually meant to share the space. But no, it really was all ours! Two full bedrooms, a great bath, and a huge living room plus the full kitchen, all with great views of the Sandias and nighttime lights of Albuquerque. The gas stove in the living room was just the thing to make things toasty on the chilly evenings. We stayed for a week in winter, but I would love to see this place in the summer as the yard looks like it would be a park-like setting, what with all of the shade trees. This home is in a very quiet location, and a walk down the street reveals several horse properties, accentuating the rural setting. Jeaninne is an absolute delight and was very responsive to all inquiries. We didn't take advantage of the yoga retreat facilities during this stay, but would definitely look into that for the future."

  • Lovely Studio in Corrales

"I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to New Mexico, thanks in part to the darling casita known as the 'Love Shack'. It was the perfect size for a single traveler (as I was on this trip) but would also be fantastic for a couple to getaway as well. Comfy bed, beautiful decor, basic kitchen necessities (stove, fridge, microwave, etc.). It was a very warm inviting atmosphere from the time I arrived with the soft music and delightful scents that were welcoming my arrival. The beautiful property is in a nice area and nestled at the end of a road atop a hill in the charming town of Corrales. It's a quick ride into Albuquerque/Rio Rancho and there are also several unique shopping and food selections in the town of Corrales as well. I would definitely recommend the Love Shack to any single or couples traveling to the area. It could likely house a third person as well on the comfy futon, but space may be a little tight. Perfect for a romantic getaway; I hope to visit again very soon."

  • HIdden Gem in South Valley

"This rental is truly a home away from home. My husband and I were in ABQ for a combination work/vacation week and we were looking for a rental close to the conference site in Old Town that would allow us to cook in instead of eating out all week. This place was perfect with relatively easy access to downtown, airport, I-25/I-40, and Old Town. The house really feels like a home. It is nicely appointed with artwork, nice furniture, fresh flowers, and fully stocked kitchen as if someone lives there full time - everything we needed was available. The yard is secluded from the street with a high fence and the grounds are beautiful with gardens and big shade trees. A few cautions for things that did not bother us. The yard and claw foot tub shower combo are not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Several neighbors, in this older, rural-like neighborhood had fowl, so expect roosters to crow at dawn. This is a well cared for, clean adobe house, however the electric is not updated so you can't expect to run several appliances at the same time. We used to live in a 100-year old craftman house so we found all of these features quite charming and had a very peaceful, restful week. Only complaint was the internet did not work through no fault of the owner - it was a new service (we were the first to try it) and the owner could not get the company in to check out the issues while we were there. Mary, the owner, lives next store and was extremely friendly and helpful. She obviously loves her property and enjoys interacting with her guests. We highly recommend this rental and it is among the very best places we have every rented and we have stayed in places all over the county."
