  • A dream house on the lake

"My family had a 4th of July reunion. Staying at the house there were 9 of us from 6 months to 77 years old. All of the beds and bedding were comfortable and in good condition as were the bathrooms. The caretaker was always available by phone whenever we had a question of any kind. We never felt cramped or crowded. The kitchen was large enough for comfortable family meals many of which we cooked in the kitchen or on the grill. Having two TVs was a nice extra. The indoor pool was perfect for the small children, ages 6 months, 4 and 6 as the lake was a bit challenging for them. But the heated pool was warm and welcoming. We spent a lot of time on the deck in the hot tub and on the dock, watching those of us who were paddle boarding or kayaking, which we rented locally. We also used the canoe provided. Some of the group went for hikes. We took advantage of the improving number of restaurants in Canandaigua, Simply Crepes is nice as is Nolan's. The patio restaurant at the Inn on the Lake was a great place for a large party. On the 4th, my entire family came to celebrate. We had plenty of room to entertain all my sisters and their children. Again people could be inside, outside on the deck, in the pool, in the lake, so many ways to relax. Before we traveled to NY I asked the owner if there were any restrictions, he said "Just treat it like your own home." We tried to do so and to be sure it felt just like that ---only better because we were on Canandaigua Lake."

  • Nicely appointed condo with a fabulous view

"We spent a week in this condo, and found it to be nicely furnished with contemporary appliances and appointments. The view is spectacular, perched on a cliff, about 100 feet above Lake Canandaigua. This puts you in position for a breeze, and the southeastern exposure removes the hot afternoon sun's influence, so you can enjoy the veranda. We'll be back."

  • Peaceful and Enjoyable

"Great Home enjoyed by my entire family. We had a family a 5, w/ 3 children ages 6 to 13, plus 4 others staying on regular basis. The house was cozy and comfortable, but spacious enough to never feel on top of one another. We had additional family members come over during the day to spend time on the lake. Kitchen was very well stocked; (really everything you need was there, other than food). Back deck had plenty of space and seating, and the umbrellas came in handy on the hot days. Screened sunroom was also a big hit. The lake was awesome, clear, and refreshing. Boathouse had everything one could ask for. Dock was large, also with good seating options. Kids and Adults alike had fun on the kayaks. We personally liked this side of the lake since it did not get the west sun, which made afternoons on the dock quite appealing. The fire pit was also great! ... I personally enjoyed all the steps up and down; (great exercise), but it may not be for everyone. The house was very private, peaceful, and serene. Watching the sun and moon rise from the upper landing was amazing! Also liked the little details; things as simple as landscaping and flower beds/pots that made the place that much more picturesque. One suggested improvement ... A couple beds were extremely firm. Allowing guests the option to put a pillow top on or something, might provide a way to accommodate different preferences. Overall though, an amazing house, and I recommend to anyone looking for a quieter stay on the lake."

  • Great home for the family!

"We just had a wonderful family stay at Terrace Landing. I truly loved the waterfront views and easy access! The lake was swimmable right from the shore for all our kids! They loved jumping in off the dock and using the paddleboard around the dock area. We brought our own kayaks and could easily drop them in to enjoy the beauty of Canandaigua lake. The proximity to town was awesome - we were 5 minutes to Wegmans and Walmart for easy access to any must-have items. The house was spacious with a nice open floor plan on the first floor. Great views of the water. Neighbors were super nice and the neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We had plenty of space in the house and enjoyed having two full baths upstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked and the new gas grill was fantastic! There was a great fire pit for smores and a ton of chairs outside for relaxing in. The home owners were very responsive and friendly too! We will definitely be back!"
